Here is the newest thread for us since the other is getting to big and might overload the server again. This thread will also be for talking about our collections, posting pics, talking about things we want to buy from the line, and about new items we want to see. This should be a blast of a thread as well and don't forget the other thread we are still using it to talk about new things as they come out.

If you miss the start of a topic just give the info for the topic or topics you missed.

May cause you to spend insane amounts of money on SC collectibles <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0> <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0> <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0> <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0> <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0> <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0> <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>

Lee,
I have an extra Sam bust. It's un-opened. I was waiting for him to sell out before I put it up on eBay. If you don't what to wait for it from sideshow, I would sell him for retail.
Unless you already ordered him. I only have 3 busts, but I like this one a lot.

I emailed one place that has him for $39.99 but I'm not sure if they have him in stock. If they don't I may take you up on your offer. Are you in the US?

Lee,
I'm in the U.S. in Buffalo NY.

Josh,
The only other bust I have an extra of is the Moria Orc Swordsman. I wouldn't mind picking up an Aragorn bust either. I ordered the Sam bust since I knew I would never be able to afford the statue, and wanted a complete fellowship. I should have picked up an Aragorn bust back then, as I don't have that statue either.

As an Aragorn Fan I would like to get the bust at somepoint but I don't know if I will. I can't afford the Sam statue either but I'm hoping they do him in his Orc outfit as I would buy that.

Jlc, I'll give you my Aragorn bust for your statue.

Lee I'm not the Red Sox's I won't give up my Babe for just some cash. <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0> <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>

A few pieces that I would really like are the Boromir bust,Uruk Hai Scout swordsman bust, Numenorean Infantry bust and High Elven Infantry bust.
The last two I think I am most interested in is because I reckon they would look great with the other Last Alliance busts! <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>
The Sam with Sting would also be a great addition

hey there people. I've been browsing and lurking on this board for a month or so and figured I'd stop and say hi. I've just recently started my weta collection and not a minute too soon!! Back in december, I discovered the UC swords and kept hearing about these weta statues, and I just ignored them. Well, almost 3 months later, I find sideshows website, and am now kicking myself at all I've missed. Not including all the statues that were released long ago (frodo, sam & bill, rwos etc), here is what I JUST missed out on.. fell beast, elessar, berserker, theoden etc... <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif"border=0>

Anyhoo, I've only got 3 statues at the moment
- Bilbo (#129)
- Gollum as smeagol - is this 1:6 scale? I doubt it when compared to my bilbo
- Saruman the white

and plenty preordered/backordered !
- Legolas
- Gandalf on shadowfax
- Sauron
- Eowyn
- Morgul lord of course (real glad I got that one)
- Ringwraith bust
- Arms of the Nazgul and Arms of Aragorn
- (waiting to see pics of Baby Balrog)

There are PLENTY more that I want, but financially I just cant do it. I'd love gimli and boromir (had the chance but sold out), frodo I will probably ebay at some point since he's so important. I have to live with the fact the i cant get them all, or even all the fellowship.

I wont be buying anything (other than frodo) from ebay unless its a great deal anymore. The new statues I'd like to see most are, Minas Tirith env, Sam with sting, Sam and Frodo on mt doom or with eagles, Aragorn on his horse, Barad dur env, Eomer statue, Pip and Merry (maybe merry ready to stab the witchking from behind!!) in armour, a ringwraith statue w/o a horse would be damn nice (maybe like the trueform witchking but in black robe form, like a negative in the same pose), Faramir, armoured cave troll <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0> maybe an entmoot environment and so on.

Anyway, just saying hi and DAMN SIDESHOW for killing my credit cards!! <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0> BTW I'm in cleveland ohio, usa
-

I too missed a bunch when I started in December of last year, but have a pretty decent collection coming with all the stuff over the next few months. I look forward to hearing what you think of you stuff as it comes in. Please post more often. <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>

Hi Oro.! <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0> The Bilbo statue is a very nice one that a lot of people missed out on considering it has been going for just under $300 on ebay.

I'm waiting on pictures of the baby Balrog myslef.

Lee about your question from last night. I kind of regret not getting the Frodo statue, which I didn't think I would. Also I had Saurman clicked in an order when they had that 25% off sale. So I would have gotten it for a $100 or so plus a cave troll hammer. I think it would have been nice to have the Palantir and stand in retrospect. But I move on. I already have way more pieces than I ever thought I would. With so many more on order.

On a different note. Sometimes I hate the way people ship using Ebay. I won a Smeagol last Thursday. Not 4 days ago a week and 4 days ago. The person claimed they mailed it last Monday and still no show. And even though I paid extra for insurance, no tracking #. Just don't sell on ebay if you can't provide your customers a tracking #. At least that is my opinion.

White I did that with Saurman myself and decided before I clicked through and purchased it to back off. Wish I hadn't now because I would have held it back and given it to my dad this year for x-mas. As far as Ebay goes I always ship items like this using UPS or items that I have sold for a decent amount of cash. That's just me as I trust UPS a lot more than I do the USPS.

Post 5k

Hey Jlc and White. <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

Luckily once Frodo sould out I found him at a comic store for $99 and I actually liked him in person so I decided to buy him.

You must have a really good friendship with Jennifer jlc. I was asking her today about when the Sam bust would be back in (since it is on backorder) and I asked her if there would be any photos of Eowyn or the Balrog anytime soon. All she told me was that we wouldn't see anything in the near near future because they were still being sculpted.

Congrats on the BIG 5,000!! <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0> <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>

aah yes I did have to pay a premium on that Bilbo... 250.00. But well worth it to me as its one of my favorite characters out of the 4 books, and I love how he's holding the ring. But that will be my first and only purchase in which I pay 200% or more of the original price!! Everyone that missed Bilbo I'm sure will get another chance when the Hobbit comes out. <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>

My Saruman has a bit of a crack on his middle finger (seemed almost detached when I got it, but when pushed in, it joins perfectly on TOP only) which I was able to secure so it looks perfect from the top, but there is still a tiny open crack on the bottom of his finger, so I was thinking to fill it with something (clay or something to that effect??) and try and get the color somewhat close. Just for my personal satisfaction, not to get it perfect. Can this be done??! thanks!!

Yeah he used USPS. I am just baffled if he got insuance for the product (which he better have as I paid for it) just pay the darn 40 cents for tracking. Now USPS has the worse tracking, but at least I could have seen if it had been shipped.

You must have a really good friendship with Jennifer jlc.

I think she knows when she says don't say this she knows I won't give the details. That has allowed me to get more info than most normal people probably get.

White,

Yeah, the USPS is just so messed up they seem to always be losing things by the way most people talk about them. They lost one TB figure I bought on ebay and if Nazgurl sent those last two figures I bought towards the end of the last week then they may have lost those as well.

Thanks for the congrats

Grats Jlc on 5k.

I almost positive it will get here, so I am not really worried just annoyed. But the amount this person charged he should have just used UPS. UPS might charge more, but tracking and insurance is included at no extra charge. If you need more than $100 insurance it is only 30 cents per 100 more. It is getting on to two weeks and that is just bad business. This person sells a lot also, over 3,000 feedbacks.

What I hate are ebay sellers that will have 100% feedback but they never give emails and have bad communication.

Thanks White.

Yeah, I always send emails out within just a few of the auction ending so we can get things going. Also I do that when I buy as well mainly because I pay as soon as stuff ends and I expect the same kind of service when getting my stuff.
