What games are you playing NOW?

Postby MattyBoy » Fri May 06, 2005 1:21 pm

An obvious idea, but I could not find it anywhere, so here we are!

I am currently playing, or in the middle of

Resident Evil 4 - Enjoying this at a steady pace
Half-life 2 - Been playing slowly since November!
Eve Online - MMO, second visit
Far-Cry - May give this one up, a bit shallow
Rome:Total War - Havent played for ages, would like to go back to it

So what about yours? Dont forget to update this thread when you start playing something else. :)

Right now activily playing Rome Total War again for 2 weeks. Very addictive.

Playing Neverwinter Nights with drieske online, and sometimes to with others, can't wait to finally try the expansions as I finished the normal module several times already

Generals Zero Hour, although I must admit I havent touched that one since I started rome total war.

Star Wars Knight of the Old republic 2. Immediatly installed that after finishing the first one three weeks ago, but think I had to much of star wars for now. Playing it bits by bit and it is enjoyable, but not yet really in the mood for it.

Hidden stroke 2, the game I just downloaded, can't say much about it yet but will update

Good idea btw Mattyboy

Knocking through a few older games that I never completed. I think the next one on the list is Chrono Cross. (Just completed FFX. Ended more strongly than I expected it to, still have some major problems with it). Also REALLY enjoying Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap.

Haven't bought any new games in a while. I've been playing some old games I felt nostalgic about the past couple of weeks:

Fallout 1 and 2
C&C Original
Red Alert 1 and 2
Poseidon
Zeus
Populus: The beginning

and
Doom 3 (starting to play soon)

Disgaea: Hour of Darkness (PS2) - 109 hours and not even halfway through the story :woah:
MVP Baseball 2005 (PS2) - Three dynasties and counting
Polarium (Nintendo DS) - Very under-rated puzzler, awesome game
Mario Party 6 (GC) - Great fun to beat the wife before bed
Resident Evil 4 (GC) - On and off...

Adom, latest shareware version.

Dawn Of War, & looking forward to it's numerous add-ons. I got Deamon-Hunters Mod on a demo disk, but it wont work. I have also noticed Tyranids mod work in process on a link to the Relic forum.

Sims Two, I have a ingame family with three children, the two youngest ones raised on smart milk.

*takes a deep breath*

Okay, folks. This is a big'un.

Handheld

The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons (in my ongoing quest to beat every Zelda game made before Twilight Princess comes out)
Polarium (I will beat you, 100 levels!)
Kirby's Canvas Curse (fantastic game, really. :D)

Console

Chrono Cross (beating all those old games I never did. Although this one's in limbo with all the other junk going on)
The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (in my ongoing quest to beat every Zelda game made before Twilight Princess comes out)
Killer7 (freaky, messed up game. Good times)
Baten Kaitos (not really started yet, but it's on the "list" so to speak. Got it for $10, new)
Metroid Prime 2: Echoes (not really started yet, but it's on the "list" so to speak. Got it for $15, new)

PC

Starcraft (beating all those old games I never did. On the last Zerg mission, so perhaps it'll start entertaining me again after I get into the Protoss)
Grim Fandango (friend gave me this one. Great game. Been meaning to play it for some time)
Far Cry (friend gave me this one. Great game. Was supposed to get it with my Athlon64 processor, but the deal ended a few days before I ordered. Woe. I missed a lot. Excellent engine for outdoors)
Pokerstars (goes without saying, neverending).

Yes, I am playing all these (sans the two on the "list") slowly but surely.

This is also a bit of a biggie :D

PS2
Gran Turismo 4 ( Great game - as expected from the GT-series. Bought it recently and now I am hooked! )
Jak 3 ( Just brilliant :) One of the greatest platform-games ever, hands down )
Mobile Light Force 2 ( a very crappy port of an insanely good japanese shooter - darn you yankees for screwing the box art up, cutting the story-line, butching up a few modes etc... )

Xbox
Crash Nitro Kart ( Gotcha! With friends, an incredible blast :) )
Doom 3 ( Wow.. Scarey )

Cube
RE4 ( Hail to the King, baby! )

PC
Battlefield 2 ( Still a n00b... ;( )

I've just finished playing Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2. Brilliant games, really really immersive stories :D

Now I'm playing Thief 3 Deadly Shadows, and I really like it too. It's one of those games that are best played after dark :)

I just got the expasion of Diablo 2 Lord of Destruction, which is waiting to be installed and played. Bargin Bins rock! :P
ANd I had GTA too waiting for me... but I have to finish Thief and LOD before I'll play it.

Oh yeah, then I have a stream of unfinished games which I plan to get back to someday.. including HL2, Settlers 5, Pirates!, NWN expansion Hordes of the Underdark..i just have the last battle of this one..

Right now playing, World of Warcraft, Warcraft, BG2 and the expansion of Call of duty.
