Guild Wars!!!

Postby Wandering but not lost » Fri Jun 24, 2005 9:22 am

Anyone here play Guild Wars? My game name is Elesa Dagon. Message me sometime :-D. I'm trying to expand the amount of people I have to quest with so I'd be glad to play with any TORCers.

I am a Ne/Mo. How about you?

I play. My wife and I quest together every night. We're members of a guild called Spirit of Elijah. Guild Wars is a fantastic game. It has a deep and interesting story and the ability to really make your character your own. I'd recommend it to anyone!

At least until Middle-earth Online comes out early next year.

Yes! This game is awesome. The graphics are superb and the gameplay is fantastic, a definite must for the MMORPGers out there.

I have two chars, but I'm not remembering their names or what they are at the moment... hehe... it's been a little while since I played it.

My defense? Been MUDding too much.

Tis a great game.

My GW name is the same as my SN here (with out the underscore)
I've also got a second account (actually it's my 1st) Xanatos De Creon is the primary on that.

As stands I've taken an Ele and a Monk the whole way through the game. I've got a necro 2/3's the way there and my Ranger (Celeborn) is still working his way up.

I started out in a guild that a friend created, moved onto a Harry Potter themed one, helped it thrive then left because the original founders and my husband didn't see eye to eye. We've now started Rivendell Guild [LotR] . It's a lot of fun. But we find ourselves enjoying the extras that can come with the game almost as much as the game.

You know, like TeamSpeak and setting up a guild webiste and forums.

Rivendell's website

Does anybody else's guild have a website?
Anybody into GvG or looking for smaller guilds to network with?

By the way, I'm doing all Ranger/Ele quest that give skills right now from the Jungle on. Look me up if you want somebody to partner with.

(only doing skill quest so that I can ascend then go back for the XP on the other quest once I've reached lvl20)

Anybody else have dreams and plans for this game?

I'm interested in the new expansion too. Mainly to see the PvE side of it.
I've also wondered, since this expansion will cost the same as the 1st game, and a person could buy this new part with out having the 1st part, will you get 4 totally new characters?

I also have written Anet and asked "If you take a character into the new campagin, will you be able to move freely between the two"..... they side steped that and answered it by saying that I would be able to use my current characters in the factions weekend event. Miffed me a little because that wasn't my question at all. But I'm guessing that they aren't exactally ready to release all of that information yet.

I started GW a month or so ago...great game! Having played a couple of other online games, GW finally got it right finally with the balance of fun versus time. There is very little tedium or level-grind farming for gold or smacking endless monsters for XP. Grouping is fun and easily implemented, and the Guild events are awesome to behold.

I have 2 characters, a Ranger named Five Talent Badger and a Mesmer named Monitor Merrimac. Say hi and group up if you see me :)

For those spending endless hours in EQ or WoW frustratingly chasing rare drops and loot, and caught in the horrible "evercrack" spiral, give GW a try. No monthly fee, and the initial price is only 3 months of what you would spend on any other monthly account.

I was wonderfully pleased with the Nightfall preview event, the two new classes (Dervish, Paragon) were very refreshing and fun to play. I didn't care much for the Factions expansion (power-leveling, clausterphobic, PvP focused, linear mindless questing), but fortunately Nightfall seems to be a return to the open-ended role playing style that I loved in Prophecies.

Can't wait for the official start :P

I didn't participate in the preview event, as I was having fun with my ritualist running around the Southern Shiverpeaks. I did muck around with the flags system that weekend, though. It was nice to have a little control over my henchmen, for a change. I'm also looking forward to trying out the heroes when Nightfall comes out.

I used to play it non-stop, my character was called Iarwain Annatar.

But now that I've got my Lifetime Subscription on LOTRO, I don't have time to play both xD

I am currently one quest away from finishing Eye of the North, and If anyone wants the help of a Mesmer in questing in EotN or Prophesies, look up Sir Despard of Mal. Lvl. 20 Me/anything (gotta love that profession changer.) I also have a Monk on that same account (lvl. 20) that is a healer if anyone wants to look him up.

I have all three expansions, and several characters; a Warrior, a Monk, a Paragon, an Ele, a Ritualist and a Ranger...

Right now, I'm focusing on the Ranger, but that's 'cause he's the newest one.

Started playing this game since two weeks ago together with my girlfriend. Also got another friend of mine interested.

So wondering if anyone still actively plays this ? :)
