Leaf by Niggle musical project

Seven years ago I created a play based on the Tolkien story "Leaf by Niggle", I wrote some songs (it was supposed to be a musical) and recorded a demo. It got put on the shelf because I couldn't figure out how to get over the copyright issues for the play. Listened back with my producer about a year ago and he said , "Why not just release the songs?" so that is what I did.
