David Bowie has passed at 69.
Oh what an awful thing to wake up to.

Loved his music and his style.
My condolences to his family, friends, and fans.

May his way home be swift
And may he find his peace there.

I couldn't believe the news this morning. I still can't really believe it. :cry2:

My love, prayers and condolences go out to all his family, friends, fellow musicians, and all his loyal fans.
We will be hard pressed to find someone who could match his talent. Truly. One of the best has left this world.
Farewell,David. I'll hear you play and sing again one day in that big magnificent band in heaven.

I love you. I miss you.

The man was a fantastic talent.

He will be greatly missed.

I always loved his music. I wish I had gotten to see him in concert, at least once.

Goodbye David. Thanks for everything. :rose:

Caught this breaking just as SBS evening news began to air last night, and the News Anchor Janice Peterson was having a hard time fighting back the tears and holding her composure as she led off with the story. I've been a fringe Bowie fan over the years, and listened to a bit of his music back a couple decades and enjoyed his movies. Rage did a special on him a while back when it was rumoured he had cancer. The man did like his cigarettes.

Rest in Peace. Thanks for all the great entertainment over the years!

This caught me completely by surprise, as it did many. I wasn't a fan, per se, but I liked some of his music and, of course, his role as the Goblin King. :) RIP David.

R.I.P. David. thank you for all the great music right up to the end. I think Blackstar is one of your best albums, and the song Lazarus is quite gripping!

He did have some great music. Hubby has some of his tapes. We saw him on a TV special some years ago, on public TV I think, not costumed but in ordinary clothes, performing just about every song. What a loss.
