Ooh birthday tomorrow, :P got from my sister and her bf a cd tonight!
Lemuria (a local band) named Ales, tale and fire... Will listen to it asap, but it's my favourite underground band here (seen them some times live) so I'm sure it won't disappoint me :)

Didi, happy belated b-day. How was it?

I found a cd called "Gods of Metal" and will probably buy it during the next week. So many great bands are there. :wink: *moshes*

And today we had a local festival of Industrial music, with local bands. W :shock: W, Ive just came, though it's quite late now. But it was really worth of it... Speechless, totally.

I didn't get an update mail for this :x :(
So took me a while to get back here didn't it :P

Just received my package from PerVertedTaste.de after quite some waiting - the package service couldn't find my home at first so they sent it back to Germany and then it lay there for some weeks too before they re-sent :roll:
Viking axe, v. sword, Moonsorrow shirt, Falkenbach LS, Månegarm shirt, Windir shirt & windir pullover :D
Should also contain a free cd for which I chose Einherjer - Odin Owns Ye All but seems to be out of stock so now I still have a creditnote from them...

Leaving to Graspop tomorrow --- so if you see anyone with the above, maybe it's me :D :D :D

*now playing* Finntroll - Fiskarens Fiende

P.S. Mono are all those on one cd? :shock: huge

Eru!!! Time to bump this thread again! Where are you, headbangers?

Guess what? I'm now into more black and death, though the priorities are still the same!

Got into Behemoth, Nile, Napalm Death, Benediction, Therion, Meshuggah, etc! :twisted:

How is your activity, btw? Been to any concerts?

Didi, 7 of this bands are death metal. 3rd is thrash power, I think. Others two, I don't think I can classify :roll:

Oh, Eru, how I could forget Children Of Bodom - Are You Dead Yet :oops: Count it instead of System...

BTW, my list is not in the order of preference. :wink:

Well guys... I finally set up port forwarding for DC++ and found that it works about 10,000 times better. I downloaded over 30 albums last night comprised mostly of Ulver, Celtic Frost, Venom, Bathory, Clutch and Ministry. I'm excited to listen to them. :)

Also, does anybody have Trilater Progression, the 2005 Neuraxis full-length? Upon my first few listens, I wasn't totally sold. But it's become one of my very top metal releases of 2005 after listening to it more and I've been listening to it on average about three times a day for the past two weeks. It's amazing.

Hmm, well some highlights since the last time I posted in this thread (2004? 2003? :shock:):

Electric Wizard's We Live, brilliant album from the Wizard with the new, improved line-up, can't wait to see them live;

Been getting in the Melvins a lot recently, the album Lysol is great, also been listening to Thrones, which is Joe Preston's side project;

Obviously not a highlight, but a hugely sad occasion for all of metal, Mieszko Talarczyk's death (R.I.P.)... :( Nasum have now split up, which is a real shame, since they were just hitting their peak in my opinion. By way of parting, they released the Grind Finale box set late last year, and I would urge anyone with a love of extreme metal to check it out.

Well, that's me done I guess. And where is Lys? And Moonbiter for that matter? :?

I am a former metal head here, I sort of dropped out of the scene in 1993, I know some of the labels on what was exactly ' metal' may have changed, but I listened to quite a variety of stuff.

Iron Maiden -- Scorpions

Judas Priest -- Sanctuary

Fates Warning -- Voi-Vod

Slayer --Forbidden

Infernal Majesty -- Dio

Megadeth -- Queensryche -- Coroner

Mercyful Fate -- King Diamond -- Cirith Ungol

Btw, are you going to visit fest this summer? I know there is a huge Sounds OF The Underground tour in US. *sigh*

Yeah, I have been around, I pop in here and there but I mostly lurk in Books.
I mainly just keep a casual interest in some of the old bands I used to listen to, I do not even own the CD's anymore, I listen on Napster and MusicMatch now and then.

I have not been to a show for at least 13 years, I think, so I am well out of the loop. My hair is not long enough to be allowed in the doors these days ! :D
