Anyone love Celtic music?

Unsling your guitar, pull up a chair, and strum us a chord or two. Come on in to discuss music.

I have a 3-CD collection of instrumental classic Celtic music ... very relaxing. I'm reticent to promote liking to love, but it's very charming. I listen to it, sometimes, as background music, as it's very inoffensive in an apartment setting - nobody else really notices, if I don't blast it, which I don't. So, it's nice ... I'm glad I have it. I wouldn't really want the LOTR soundtrack(s) though, because it's more concerned with the movie's needs, than my listening needs. However, there's a videogame based more on the book, I believe, called FELLOWSHIP of the RING, which is kind of boring, actually, BUT ... it has a soundtrack that is quite beautiful. I would really love to have it. Unfortunately, I did look it up and it's apparently never existed separately from the game. Someone I never heard of, a "Brad" somebody does it ...

Afro Celt Soundsystem: -North pt 1 - YouTube
This blend of African rhythm and Celtic harmony
continues to fascinate me.
I could listen to Celtic music for hours...and would love to learn to
speak Gaelic to sing along with Enya, Celtic Woman and other
stellar performers.

PRM - my daughter is fluent in Manx Gaelic, which is very similar to Irish and Scots Gaelic. She can understand and make herself understood to Irish speakers.

My son is still playing banjo in a traditional manx gaelic band who are just about to release their first CD

Here they are playing live in Peel, Isle of Man (obviously), recently

Parm, is a free language learning site. They have Irish Gaelic available. I'm behind in mine, but I was learning it.
