I've seen Weight of the World, Call Me When You're Sober, and Good Enough floating about the net, but couldn't get ahold of them. *sigh*

Listened to Call Me When You're Sober on Evanescence's myspace, though. :D

My number one complaint about Evanescence's music videos still rings true: Amy Lee never looks like she's actually singing/participating in the song. She always looks (to me) to just be mouthing the words while doing something strange. A pity considering how good the music is.

Two months is far too long to wait.

I could maybe see what you mean in the CMWYS video, but I never noticed that in the older ones. :|

And yes, two months is way too long. Don't they think we've waited for this long enough? :x

I don't really like the "Call Me When You're Sober" video... I don't know what it is about it, I just don't really like it. :| I love the song though. :D I've been listening to it practically non-stop. :D

Two months is far too long.

Really? Well I guess that it's more important that you like the song than the video anyway.

Two months?? We have to wait that long for the new CD?? That is too long. :P

When they first hit the scene. Our radio station released their single from DareDevil about 6 weeks earlier then it was suppose to hit the air waves. We didnt mind but boy did it make the waiting hard for the CD. I guess two months isnt all that long but I cant wait to hear the whole thing.

Saw The String Quartet Tribute to Evanescence in a store today and decided on a whim to pick it up. Having never heard one of these, I must say it certainly is a creative take on the music. I may look into the tributes to some of my other favorite bands. At least it's something to tide me over for one more month. :)

Well, the entire album hath leaked! Makes me wonder how the label will respond. Earlier release date? Added album songs? All good things.

One of my favorite tracks is the mozart sampling "Lacrymosa." Besides lyrics that are particularily and refreshingly blatant and direct, I feel it is one of the more catchy songs and I wouldn't be surprised to see this as a second or fourth single. (I'm guessing Lithium will be the third ala My Immortal - the ballads)

"Good Enough" is really unique. It's jazzy, happy, and has some nice rejected Narnia score for an intro. The score provides a nice transition from the heavy songs to the light "Good Enough." I just smiled the whole time. Amy is home free.

This album is much more akin to Origin than to Fallen in my opinion. It is more raw, more dirty, more angry, more emotional. It's more of a rock album than Fallen. It isn't as commercial as Fallen. These things are nothing but awesome in my books.

I have heard the entire thing. Though not the bonus track(s), one of which you get by pre-ordering the album from i-Tunes. And I *do* have the album pre-ordered, I just couldn't wait another month. The songs are all floating around on the various file-sharing programs now. The label still hasn't responded to it, so it makes me wonder if they even will.

I've pre-ordered the album as well. I downloaded LimeWire and tried to download some of the songs but they all turned up as random beeping and static. :x

Anyway, I've found six of them on YouTube.

Well, I for one am willing to wait a few more weeks to pick up the album in a store and hear it all for the first time at that point.

As do I. Whenever I pick up a new CD I like to turn the lights off in my room, lay down, close my eyes, and listen to the entire thing straight through. I'll definitely be doing that with The Open Door.

Speaking of The Open Door, I saw a poster for it in Hastings the other day.

Hehe I love it that the album's been leaked. I'm such a bad fan :D

To be honest, i didn't like The Open Door that much....Call me when you're sober is nice, and i love Weight of the World and Sweet Sacrifice, but the rest were either too techno or i felt like the music was drowning out Amy Lee's voice. Or possibly i just have a bad version of it heehee. Either way, was a bit of a disappointment.....'Fallen' and their 'Ultra Rare Trax Vol. 1' albums are MUCH better :D

Well, just walked out of Borders with it today. I went in to buy Twelfth Night for an intro to Shakespeare class and The Open Door just happened to leap into my hands too. :P Especially since it was 7 pounds 99 p....so about the same as it would be if I bought it at home. :D

Still determining favorites...

The open door was officially released here on monday i think and i have been waiting for the opportunity to buy it since then. Yesterday, since it was thursday, i had a chance cause stores are open longer here on thursdays. So i bought it. (i missed two busses in the process, small price to pay) i didn't really have time to listen to it during the rest of the day so i decided to put it on before sleeping. so i brushed my teeth, washed up and went to bed with evanescense on. I didn't fall asleep untill after the last song was over. But it was worth every cent i payed for it. It's just as great as Fallen.

I couldn't imagine downloading it. i only download songs that i really can't find on cd anywhere nowadays (really old songs).

Evanescense rocks, and Amy Lee above all, she did write (or co-write) all the songs herself. again.
