I probably will spell this incorrectly, but I love "Tupelo Honey".<BR>(Yikes ... I'm sure I just raked the spelling of that song's title)<BR><BR>(Edited to the correct spelling. No sweat on the misspelling, Dunthule.<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0> It's spelled "Tupelo Honey", and it's another one of my favorites as well.

*MOONDANCE* makes me want to play it again and again and again.<BR>I like *BROWN EYED GIRL* and *GLORIA*, too, but *MOONDANCE* is the best ever. I don't claim to be his biggest fan, but I liked some of the songs he did.

Hmm...I can't think of a more worthy subject for my 90th post. <BR><BR>Van Morrison has to be one of the most talented and innovative musicians ever to pick up a microphone. Like Armenelos, I have very fond memories of my Dad listening Van; he's my Dad's ultimate favorite musician. Dad was in the 7th heaven when we got to see Van Morrison live in Dublin last November. <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0><BR><BR>My favorite album of his is probably "Avalon Sunset." I love the quite, meditative quality of the songs on it. My second favorite is "Celtic Heartbeat" with the Chieftans. "I'll tell my ma when I go home: the boys won't leave the girls alone..."

My favorite Van Morrison album is <i>Astral Weeks</i>. I love listening to that one on a Sunday morning. Especially the song "Sweet Thing".

Van Morrison.....what a singer and songwriter! I'd heard Brown-eyed girl and Gloria several years ago, but a couple of years ago I downloaded some random songs of his via Limewire, and began to like them.

I just in the last 5 months or so started exploring his albums thoroughly.

I have Astral Weeks, Bang Masters, Moondance, Tupelo Honey, and 2 of his newer ones that I haven't acquired the taste for yet.

But Astral Weeks and Moondance are my favorite right now. I love Bang Masters, too.

"Ballerina" is probably my favorite song on Astral Weeks. I just bought Tupelo Honey this week, and am only previously familiar with the title track...which I love.

It's his voice that I love. So expressive and unique.

Van Morrison is awesome. My best friend is in a band, and they played at my wedding. "Moondance" was the first number.

Oh wow. I love Moondance!

Many many years ago I got a Van Morrison double album and all the good stuff was on it. Yes, I still have it, but I haven't played it in years (mainly because all the vinyl we moved is still packed up--blush!). I can't remember half the stuff on it though I played it to death back then. Another reason to get at all those boxes behind the couch!
