What song can always put you in a good mood?

Unsling your guitar, pull up a chair, and strum us a chord or two. Come on in to discuss music.

"Chris Rea" Greenleafwood? I don't meet too many people who have heard or listen to his music. BTW .. I like his christmas song too! :) 8)

Espresso Logic is another favorite of mine from Chris.

Well, I don't know about happy, but listening to the LOTR soundtracks always makes me feel so peaceful and, I guess happy on a deeper level. It can always make me cry because I find it so beautiful. Crying in a good way though. It always makes me feel that life is better when I get really depressed.

There are a lot of songs that put me in a good mood.. right now "Shiver" and "Yellow" by Coldplay really do, and "Complainte de la Butte" by Rufus Wainwright also puts me in a good mood. I wish I could think of some others, but there are so many that I never remember.

"If I had a Million Dollars" by the Bare Naked Ladies
It's a little dumb but it always puts me in a great mood.

Also almost anything from Joseph and the Amazing Technocolor Dreamcoat.

"I'll Make A Man Out of You"-Mulan
"Circle of Life", "Be Prepared"-The Lion King
"The Girl Who Has Everything"-The Little Mermaid

Gotta love Disney. :)

"It's a Long Way to Tipperary". For some reason.

Certain The Legend of Zelda bits, from the SNES onwards.

Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard.

Nothing puts a spring in my step and a bob in my head nod quite like the opening snare kicks and guitar riffs of "Teenage Riot" by Sonic Youth (at least after Kim stops "singing").

Though I must say, "Heart of Glass" and "Girlfriend in a Coma" are also two inspired choices.

-Almost any song by Keith Urban
-Some songs by Josh Groban (others have made me cry if in the right mood)
-"Anything But Mine" by Kenny Chesney
-Even though I'm not into the whole urban scene, Usher is one of the cleaner singers, and some of my best friends and I have good times with "Caught Up" and "Yeah"

Thanks to Peter Kaye, I can't hear "(Is This The Way To) Amarillo" by Tony Christie any more without Smiling. Just ask Alys...

"Chocolate" by Snow Patrol
"Jack Names the Planets" by Ash

ETA "Don't Stop Moving" by S Club 7 (don't ask).
