After seeing a shot of Rosamund Pike all bloody in a bed I've picked up a copy of Gone Girl. Let's see what this is about.

Men at Arms.

No idea what next. Mrs. H has a stack of manga she insists that I read. Why does that feel like a threat?

Have been carrying around The Red Tent by Anita Diamond for a couple of months, but I just can't get into it this time around... Looking for something else.

Just finished re-reading 'The Abyss Beyond Dreams' by the best space opera author since E.E. Doc Smith, Peter F. Hamilton (in preparation to starting his last in this series, 'Night Without Stars'). If you like sci-fi and haven't read this guy, you should. Start with the 'Night's Dawn' trilogy. You will not be disappointed.

After a few short stories and tv shows, now reading, very slowly, Feet of Clay by Sir Pratchett.

Also been convinced to read "Library Wars" and "Yona of the Dawn" by Mrs. H, both of which are surprisingly good Manga that I recommend to pretty much anybody.

Pterry's discworld novel. City Watch investigates a few murders and a poisoning seemingly committed by golems who actually cannot do that.

Finished re-reading all of Dresden Files while on vacation. Needed another long project to start. It was between Feist (Riftwar and Serpent War) or Peter Hamilton's Night's Dawn....Night's Dawn it is!

Actually I really enjoyed it even with it being only my third discworld book. Overall the series feels kind of like a mix between the hitchikers guide to the galaxy and LOTR. Though I'm not sure if it's as good as LOTR

I'm currently trying to re-read Anne of Green Gables but couldn't focus on it and am also trying to get into one of my roomie's books, Dragon Wing: Volume1 of the Death Gate Cycle by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman.

I never post in this thread anymore because I'm usually dipping into 3 or 4 books at a time... you don't want to know what the stack beside my bed looks like!

I'm currently reading American Gods (the extended version) as I want to read it before watching the television series.

I'm currently reading something called The big Book of Jack the Ripper.

Not is it only a compendium of Ripper stories, some never before published. it also has witness statements and autopsy reports on the victims, and the "Ripper letters".......letters and notes to the police supposedly from the Ripper himself.
