The Divine Cities (by Robert Jackson Bennett)

Hello everyone!
It has been a long time since I posted a new topic here at TORC. :)
Have any of you read 'The City of Stairs' (book 1) or 'The City of Blades' (book 2) by Robert Jackson Bennett?
I had no expectations when I picked up the City of Stairs at the airport. I have been pleasantly surprised.
The concept of what a world would be like after the ruling divinities have been killed resulting in the wiping out much of the history of their own people is a great concept.
Not an entirely new concept as I've seen it in other books to a degree. But I like his take.
These have been fun reads so far. 8)
