Since Tooks hates me and ate all the pizza, I'll just go out and get myself a bacon double cheeseburger with fries and a caramel nut milkshake.

And I will eat it all myself. No sharing.

Our snow melted long enough to get some of the leaves raked up, but they've still not all fallen off the trees and more snow is on the way. It's been a crazy non-fall/early winter. :(

Yes, I suppose they are. :)
Usually we have some rainy, snowy icy thing that comes along, turns all the leaves like the California Dreamin' song and puts them on the ground.
Not this year.

Arefs is still here with me!!!! But now only 2 guests!!!!!! :Q :D

Yes, Rose, Peruvian food is quite tasty. Also, Louie is glad you like his picture. He is a show-off.

basil, lovely trees! Ours changed colors late this year, but seemed to drop the leaves within a week, so many trees are bare already. Of course, that may be the high winds we had a couple days ago.

LK.... :thppt: But you can have the credit card to order more pizza. What's your favorite?

Right now I need more coffee.

Helllooooooo! Me and..wait..fifty, yes 50 UGs???? I'm not buying it..

Love the food here, and that beautiful tree to eat it all under!!

I am getting my boots on, have to go out to the barn and get it ready for the farrier..ugh. I'm kind of sad, I will be trimming six horses instead of seven, as my old girl Cece is scheduled to be put to sleep here in a couple weeks...I haven't had her long, I gave here a retirement home here a little over a year ago, but she has gone blind, dropped a ton of weight and keeping her alive through a Minnesota winter will do her no favors...she is a dear sweet thing.

My girl Cece...over her lifetime she has produced 6 National Champions, but as she aged out of production years, no one wanted to take her in as a pasture ornament.

I feel your sorrow, Witchwench. A shame the way humans use then throw out when no longer useful to their purpose. Am glad you found each other and that she had happiness

Thanks for the kind words Ninui...all my horses here at the farm are either injured, oldster or abused/starved thrown away horses...all but Nykkon (injured) and Cece (oldster) came from the slaughter auctions in pretty darn rough shape. They are all special to me.

Awww, hugs and sugar lumps for Cece. I'm sure she appreciates how kind you have been.

I know what you mean about winters Witchy. Our little Pip (Pippin) dog is 15 1/2 and I hate the thought of putting her through another one of our harsh winters. We have to get our Pup (poop) hut put up so that she doesn't have to try to wade through the deep snow & ice.

basilly.. what type of maple are those that turn so beautifully red?

I've never had Peruvian. Maybe Lewie & I will have to make it a date. I've taken quite the shine to him. ;)

rhwennie.. I hope you're not over-doing it too. You won't be able to do anything if you get sick/run down!

LK

About 6 years ago we had a severely cold, snowy winter. One day was well below 0F.. maybe -15F? Anyway, our little Pip (who is only 12 pounds) went outside to do her business & got frozen in the snow. She was crying. I ran out in my bare feet to scoop her up & bring her in. However, she wiggled as I got to the icy deck steps and I went UP and then came down HARD.. my hip on the edge of the step. It didn't break my hip right away, but it had severely damaged the cartilage around the joint (the labrum) and within months it completely snapped/broke & I had to have my hip replaced after months of limping around in pain. SO.. for the welfare of our aging Pip and for my own health & safety I began to think about what I could do so I wouldn't have a repeat situation. I saw a temporary storage shed at Menards for about $100 and decided we could put that up next to our garage where the side door opens to the yard (the side garage door has a doggie door in it). We have been putting it up every year in November & taking it down around March, depending upon the weather.

So.. is it a litter box? Well, I suppose.. a really big one. About 8'x8'.. or maybe it's 10'x10'??

Rose----Ooooh, ouch, ouch, OUCH! That must have been so painful, I can't even imagine!

That was a good idea, though with the storage shed thing. Safer for you and your little doggie.

I have leftover cupcakes, and the 3 UGs don't seem to want any. Aaaannyyone? I've got gluten-free banana, and pumpkin, with cream cheese frosting and a dusting of cinnamon.

Rwhen - What is this rumor about green M&Ms? Ooh, tasty stew!

Rose - The scariest part about that Halloween yard is the green leaves! We had the same issue here, and all the leaves fell before they had a chance to turn pretty colors. :( Well done on sticking to healthier eating goals! Have you found a substitute for the candy craving, like treating yourself to a fruit parfait? What a good idea for a poop tent!

Basil - Oh what a gorgeous color! I like maple leaves.

Witchy - Sorry to hear about Cece. She had a good time with you.

:hihi: to all!

An old TORcer asked who she should contact to get into her old account which she was locked out of due to a change in her email address (elengil). Is there anyone who can help her out?
