For the Fallen but not Forgotten of TORC III

Just as Tolkien and the Inklings used to meet at The Bird and the Baby, come in here to converse about whatever might be on your mind. This is the place for all off-topic conversation.

Oh, Dunthy, that awful news. I'm so sorry for your loss. Huge condolences to you and your wife and family. I know that nothing I can say will make things less painful, but know that we're hear to "listen" to you if you need us.

I am so sorry to hear that your son has lost his valiant battle. I wish you and your family peace of mind and yes take the grief as it comes. Acknowledge it, go with it when you need to but don't stay down there. It is OK to stumble and even to fall but the light grows ever neared and brighter and that long dark tunnel does have its end. I pray you reach that light and wish you strength in that journey

Heroes
Around us there are heroes,
whose battles few may see:
the cancer-dragon, orcs of pain,
that surge on endlessly.
They show us grace in action,
bravery and strength,
but even mighty heroes,
must face their ends at length.
Here's to our younger heroes,
who fought an awesome fight,
and join a host of legends
And leave a story bright.

Blessings,
Parm :)
Hooray for the joys of June!

Ahh sadly yes I do know. It might seem unbelievable now but the light will return, life does go on and you can learn how to dance with a limp Do not expect the paint to go away completely but it will lessen and soften and dissipate . do not look to get over it. You do not ever get over it but you can get around it and learn to move on. the sharp edge of memory will soften and then those memories, the very ones that hurt so much right now will become a comfort and a treasure, just keep the lid down on the box until you are ready to look at them again. I am almost there.

Wise words, Master Hue  I've finally reached the point with Shellie that I can talk about her without crying, and even laugh. I can't imagine how much more painful the loss of a spouse or child is.

Wow! I cannot believe I remember my login to start with....

Entering the Bird and The Baby.... Seeing so many names.... memories... time sure has flown.

I saw on the Book of Face that today is the 15th Anniversary of Fellowship's opening. 15 years. 6 incredible movies. And TORC.... feels like home!

I'm a stay at home momma now, my son is 7 and I have two year old twin girls.... all three are amazing magical children of elves if not possessed by Sauron every once in a while. Some day when the fates allow I'll get back to teaching history... but until then my calling is keeping these darling little orcs alive.

Hugs and brightest blessings out to my dear Lord Sil, LiMuBai, Tarina, Vana, Scribbles, Master Hue, IH, Elian, Telta, Rhwen, Enchantress, Gimili, and so many more I'm sure I'm forgetting!! Merry Meet and Merry Part and Merry Meet Again!!! :grouphug:
