For the Fallen but not Forgotten of TORC III

Postby rwhen » Mon Aug 08, 2011 2:01 pm

So many people have come and gone in the ten years I have been at TORC, I miss some of you so much and wonder if you ever think of us too??

Terry D, where are you? Wingy? Gwendalar? sweet sweet Gwendalar?? The Gentleman??? Enty??? so many many more, I figure you are just roaming around this universe and someday we will bump into each other again..

If you are missing someone, please leave them a message..

Here is mine:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The myriad stars that shine
at Universe TORC, are dimmed
to mere points of light...diminished
from our sight....
A handful of precious gems glitter
a planet aligns, in perfect harmony
one with the cosmos, sychronosity..
And one by one they fall....
burning, churning masses
to the earth, no longer stable..
Hurtling through the atmosphere
To touchdown in our hearts, tease
and surround us with creations fire..
Forlornly, she looks into the abyss
to glimpse her cherished spark
But it is the rogue star, the wanderer
Molting its charisma on lesser orbs...
In bold and startling anguish
She turns and sets the star free
Outward it travels, unaware of her
tears and loss, it only knows self..
Fly on, fly high and fly far,
may my brief embrace keep you
soaring, unfettered and free....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

For Raven sending warmest healing and missing hugs to you now and everyday until you return to us. 143

For Vanadarlin', Aerin, Jae, heliona, Runie, Inky, B25, Scribbles, Hue, Sil and all others who have kept this thread alive for all these years. I thank you and let us make the third edition as great as the first and second.

It is sort of sad to see the first and second threads go, but I know many people returned and posted there. So that is a good thing.

heliona thank you for the suggestion to post the link to the original thread in this one incase people are looking for someone who posted there.

Now we have two links that can be researched if it is needed.

Thank you all, those who are far from TORC these day and those who have managed to stick it out.

Anybody notice a proliferation orcs and general Mordor ne'er do well types, standing around spitting on the floors tossing cig butts around with abandon, cursing and scaring the faint of heart! We must try and convert these misguided souls. Convince them to join the good fight!(has anybody told them that they lose miserably in the end?) Join with me fellow Eldar in bringing them to the light before it's to late( or before all our property values go down)

Oh, shiny new place!

I was just reminiscing last night on my own "noobie" days and thinking of some names that I'd LOVE to see stop in and tell us how they're doing . . . here's three off the top of that list . . .

Thenie ... Wisteria ... and Crystal_Seed.

Hoping all is well with your worlds. :)

Folks who were oldbies to me were n00bs to some of the hoary types around here. However, I miss the many RPers who use to prance around in the Pony.

Here's a toast to my fellow travelers from my first RP: Eldfess, Arenial, Mithnen, Aiwe... I'm forgetting someone. Also luthienelflover, who is not exactly fallen, just temporary mislaid, I hope.

I see Cucalen swept by the boards recently. :)

runes, the once and future king of TORC, Barad-Dur, I miss ya Big Guy. Freahealm, Asaris, the ever ethereal Gwenuviere, to Arwen 474, she could write me almost as good as me. Novice and Gandalf Stormcrow, Li Mu Bai, Elbren, ah my list could go on all night (*sigh*) Eldfess, if you're out there buddy, the Bard still wears the cloak you gave him.

I'll always keep a light burning in The Tower, an uncracked deck of cards on the table and whatever beer ya like fresh and cold and waiting on tap. It would be good to get up a game one more time, for old time's sake. I still love playin' to a full house. Fare ye well where ever ye fare my dear, dear friends.

Bardy, bard-bard! How about a tankard of Prancing Pony's best! :drink: Meet ya, where Strider kept an eye on four hobbits.

Terry D, Cali is gorgeous! So far, we have been to Old Sacramento, which is this old-timey themed part of downtown - it shocked me because it was bigger than Beale St and Bourbon St, both of which I've been to more than once. And we've also gone to San Francisco, which was amazing! I could easily spend a whole weekend there! As soon as my mom says, we are planning to take a weekend trip to see the big ole Redwoods, which is what I think you might be talking about. They're also called Sequoias, right? :) I will definitely be taking some pictures there!!! I plan on wearing something neutral so I can blend in with the scenery. Wouldn't want to scare off anything - or anyone - who would not otherwise appreciate some human company. ;)

It's so good to see you! Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm about to take the rugrat to see The Smurfs. Hooray!!! :D

Drogo, Gamgee Wench posts on the TVM thread fairly often...but WITCHYwench hasn't posted in forever now. Hope she is well. I recall she was about to open a martial arts school last we spoke. Good one.

Missing hugs :grouphug: to those who are rarely or no longer posting with us. We would love to see you again.
