I know there's a dedicated thread in her memory, and I'm posting here not about her passing, but to the memories it has stirred. Rowanberry is not the first TORCer and friend lost to death, and I'm thinking also of others who will not return here, some who have vanished and we don't know why, maybe to live and flourish elsewhere, or maybe no longer living.
I just wanted to mention once again the names of those I travelled with for a while here, to say that I remember them:
Our brand-new life is not all smiles,
though fallen,we are not cast down,
but rise again to tread those miles
returning to this friendly town.
I see the smoke, and hear the songs,
sung round the hearth and warming fire,
and know where this bard's heart belongs,
with friendly voices I desire.
