Wow, two mornings in a row1 Thank my granddaughter who likes waking in the early hours. :)
At the risk of showing a bit of girl on girl affection, it is you rwhen that draws me back here. I see you in a sheer white dress dancing beneath the stars in the grass barefoot, so happy and spreading the love. If it has not been for you checking in on me now and again, I think I would have drifted away. Thank you my friend.

My friend...it is me (I sure hope so) and we are inspired by the moonlight, through the time before memory - we dance, your raven flowing hair sparkling in the moons glorious rays, awakening those who only appreciate that want can't be seen, is wisdom. I will never forget you. Not ever.

Hiya rwhen. You wanted someone from the past, here I am. :o

Back again after a couple of years layoff. Been dealing with a lot of personal issues surrounding my retirement from the military. I eventually moved back to Ohio, where I currently reside.

After the service I went to a tech school and tried out a failed career as a motorcycle technician. I say failed because I couldn't work for the service managers I met. Very crooked people who cheated customers at every turn then flipped out when you made a mistake. Not to mention the seasonal layoffs every winter. So I decided to go back to college and low and behold my muse has returned.

Rwhen darlin' I am gonna try harder to carve out time to be here more often. At the moment I am dealing with a bit of family drama/trama. My darling daughter, Princess Niki's marriage is falling apart and she and the grands are moving back in with me and Dan. I am trying to follow my better brain and not my father's heart here. If I went with my gut... well I would not be able to get here at all because I would be in jail for what I did to that (unmentionable) person :nono:

Erinhue. Oh dear, my heart breaks for you and the Princess/kids. This sort of thing does happen much to often. I am sure that she is supremely happy that DOD (dear ol' dad) is there for her to have her back and rebuilding her life again. It shows to go ya that being a parent really never ends. EEEFFFFTEEEEEE!

And rwhen, yes, I think of gwendalar every time I see the lovely sand dollar with a teddy bear and "Harvestar" on it that she sent when the first movie opened and Speaker, undomiel, liana_lemonflower, Nazgul_lord, my dad, and Speaker's friend all got together in Syracuse. She was so amazing! She also sent elf ears!!! :D Still have those too!
(and who says internet friends aren't real?!? ;) Y'all are so very real and so very part of my journey. I just came to a fork in the path and don't quite know what to do yet. So I'm sending out scouts and inquiring and pondering a lot. That's what I do. Oh, dear job, hope you come soon.)

Hello Harvi.

I know the whole state is mourning at this time, I am too. What a tragic loss. Also for some of the hottest days EVER too. Hang in there.

Indeed, internet friends are very real. I never got to meet Gwendalar, but I know she was tons of fun on the Nappies as were you and Sleeper to Animal and Sleepy Li...all of us. Really made something of it. *sigh*

Terry Teddy's, sand dollars.....all so good.

Enjoy the holiday weekend. Good luck with the job hunt!!! :D

The Most Excellent Place

Postby prmiller » Sun Jul 07, 2013 1:05 pm

People much loved, whose paths have gone far,
out to the regions where wilderlands are,
stepping inside, with a smile and a wink...
this is an excellent place here, I think.

Names that are legends to some of us new,
with sagas and tales that dramatically grew;
now some have come, for a fine festive drink...
this is an excellent place here, I think.

Truly, some left and may never return,
some briefly visit, while others, we learn,
are deep in life changes and send us a link...
this is an excellent place here, I think.

I will remember the legacies left,
names that imbue this dominion with heft,
teaching us, guiding us, settling the stink...
this is an excellent place here, I think.

In this most wonderful place here I find,
words that go farther than sentiments kind,
so for those friends--your sun shall not sink--
this is an excellent place here, I think.

Blessings,
Parm :)
