Class of '02 v4: 2020 - now we are 18

Just as Tolkien and the Inklings used to meet at The Bird and the Baby, come in here to converse about whatever might be on your mind. This is the place for all off-topic conversation.

I'll have a glass of Malbec, if you're pouring . . .

stirs up the fire and plops down . . .

surveys a wine rack in a dark corner

There’s a very dust Grey Havens malbec here, Scribbles. That ought to serve.

turns to Bardwyn
Join us? Or there might be some something else in the larder.

exits; returns with whole cheese and a small salami, drops them loudly on a table
Nothing in the way of bread or crackers in there. But there are two barrels of ale.

retrieves wine glasses from overhead rack and begins to pour

Good to see you! Would that be ale or this lovely malbec?

There's naught in the way of proper bread, in the larder, but I did see something...

goes back to the larder; small crashes are heard

"I'm okay!"

scraping, opening and closing of cupboards; emerges from larder carrying several strings of flat somethings

Aha! Found a fine stash of Knäckebröd! :D :D :D

My mom's mom's parents came from Sweden, but nothing really got passed down. I've been trying to learn Swedish - I can't say I have a head for language, but I'm persistent at least

A hobbit opens the door softly and peeks in - the first thing she sees is a mug of ale - thus encouraged, she opens the door wider and enters.

Hello, everyone - been a loooong time since I was here last. Very glad to see the old place is still in good order and they haven't been selling the silver or anything like that.
