The "I hate winter" thread

Indeed.

Right now, here in Northern NJ, we've got maybe about 8 inches and still going pretty strong. Drat. I hate having to be at work in the middle of a snow storm.

We got very little snow here---maybe just an inch in my area.

And now they're talking another warm up and rain over the weekend.

Fine by me, as long as we don't get slammed with the frozen white water when it's supposed to be Spring.

Yesterday we got maybe an inch of ice/sleet/freezing rain whatever. Really unpleasant and now scraping the cars and driveway. I sort of miss summer. Or at least autumn.

What is this Spring you are talking about?? It doesn't "officially" arrive until March!

And even then...

Spring may "officially" arrive in March, but we've sometimes had snow here until mid-April.

That's what I;m hoping DOES NOT happen this year.

So far so good weather wise.

Warm temps and just some rain.

Hope it continues. Fingers crossed.......

Seems winter isn't through with us yet.

Temps in the 30's F and lake effect snow.

The March winds aren't helping, either.

Same here in NJ. Was 70 degrees on Wednesday, below freezing and high winds today. Next week back to the 60's. I feel like I'm on a roller coaster.

Honestly, at this point I hope for snow simply because it's better for the water table, melts slower and better replenishes ground water. We're still suffering under a significant drought here even with the recent rains.

HEAR HEAR!!

I don't want two inches of snow!

I just hope and pray the weekend is clear, weather and roads.

They're saying it's supposed to all be over by Wednesday. I do hope they're right about that.

Lots of winter to hate here in The City today. Huge snow storm Snowed all night and it is still sleeting or whatever right now. It is all gonna freeze tonight and we just might get more of the same tomorrow. I had daffodils coming up in the yard and the tree out back was beginning to bud. Just when ya thought winter was over and done............

Ugh.

20 inches of snow in the end. Unpleasant. Like Hue, I had Iris coming up in my yard, and now they're completely buried under the drifts and shovel crud. Probably all dead now.

I'm done with winter. I can kindly go the heck away.

The rest of the snow they were predicting seems to have missed my area, thank goodness!!

I just hope it stays clear and dry for the weekend, especially Sunday.

It's pretty cold, but I can deal with that.

I don't like it, but I can deal with it.

Just not slippery roads and sidewalks.

Temps are supposed to be going up. With rain, of course. It can't just be warm ans sunny.

Not complaining though, I'll take warm and rainy over cold and rainy any time.
