Agreed.

I am trying to get all my laundry (or at least 99% of it) done today. I would much prefer to sit in the recliner and read, but....the clothes won't wash themselves.....and Sindarin has taken over the recliner and refuses to move......

Maybe I can do nothing tomorrow. Great way to start a new year! :P

One thing about the new washer/dryer my parents got us, they're fast. Faster than me. I no longer can use the excuse "the machines are slow" for why it takes two days to do laundry. :P

Ironically, the new washer/dryer that we got is quite a bit slower than the old ones (which were 25 years or more old believe it or not). They do a good job, just the dryer is slow as can be!

Means "doing the laundry" involves a lot more other chores in between now, and possibly going out to lunch too.

Still, better than an old laundry board and a river I say.

Have you tried wool dryer balls? I got a set off of eBay, I'll try them this weekend. They're supposed to help with wrinkles and speed up drying.

My dryer finishes before the washer does so that when I know it might be stuff that is tougher to get dry, I will run it again! I don't know if that is a help at all, but it is worth mentioning.

I've been using them without using fabric softener and so far, so good. Of course, I've been sick and haven't tried any of the clothes yet...

Stoopy head cold. Started as congestion and went from there. Yesterday was the worst, but now my eye is starting to water again. Ugh.

Looks like no one's home but me.

Now I can eat all the chocolate while I decide whether or not I'm going to work tomorrow.

I should---I don't WANT to, but I should.

NOT SO!!

My employer is the one that's slipping. She got us each a small box of chocolates, but forgot to bring them until Thursday.

Or that's what she said----personally I think she just waited until after V-day to buy them when the prices were marked down. :P

Here at work because the people I work with are . . . .

Well, I can't actually say things and stay within the TOS.

So, suffice to say, I'm at work on Sunday morning and taking a two minute sanity break before I commit arson.

I hate this place so very much.

Spent last Saturday at Wizard World Comic Con.

And last Sunday evening at a Bon Jovi concert.

Great concert, they did 4 or 5 songs from their new album This House Is Not For Sale, along with some of their previous hits.

I was a little disappointed that they didn't do "Blaze of Glory." That's one of my favorites, and I was hoping to see it done live in concert. They didn't sing that one, but it was still a great concert.

More about Comic Con later.

What was I going to say?

LK, where is the con held? If I manage to survive the first year of this job, it sounds like fun. :D

I've not lurked at work yet. I probably won't get the chance, either. Once I've learned more to do, I'll have things to almost all the time. :( I'd say about 75 percent of what comes into our office is divorces and/or custody. I was told that when the put the forms online, the divorce cases rose considerably.

Hey Iris! Good to see you! :hihi:

Cleveland Wizard World Comic Con is held at the Huntington Convention Center in downtown Cleveland. It's about a 10 minute drive for me from where I live. It's probably the only convention I'll ever get to go to, cause I can't afford to travel out of state.

I've already started saving money for next year's convention. So far, I've only attended one day, on Saturday. Next year I might go for two days; depends on what celebs are scheduled to be there.

Be nice to see your there. Wish I could offer to put you up for the weekend, but my apartment's too tiny. :(

Cleveland is about 3-4 hours for us, so it's do-able in a day if we want. I'll have to check it out. If we decide to try it next year, I'll let you know.

Even if you could put us up, we'd probably insult the cats by our very existence. ;)

I doubt you'd even see Nim, except in passing as she ran from one hiding place to another.

Zave and Sindarin would probably just stare at you, at least at first. They might eventually allow a few pets, especially Zavie. He's a real attention hog.

And Figgs would talk to you.....endlessly!
