On Thursday and Friday Rob and I did a LOT of walking around DC, mostly in the Mall area. By Saturday I was sore from hip to toe, but it felt good...I mean, I managed it and was pretty proud of myself. :)

I've been "walking" while watching The Price is Right...I march in place or walk back and forth from kitchen to livingroom doing things. It's not much, but with the weather screwy right now, it's better than nothing.

I am continuing to lose weight and am thrilled that it is happening and I don't feel deprived of anything!

I did a Leslie Sansone video this morning. Pharaoh got irate for some reason and decided to squall and then try to bite me. If these videos are to be realistic...they need to include the cats and dogs that think they have to be involved.

Sounds like you are both still moving in the right direction!

I have lost almost 30 pounds now since last summer and I still have not had anyone notice! :shock: I would have thought by now someone at work would have noticed. Oh well I wont give up!! So I lost 7 pounds from July to November, 7 in December and 7 in January. Now I have lost another 7 in February! I have taken my belt in three notches and that makes me feel good.

Oh and I got notified today at the Skin Care Clinic that I do NOT have eczema! I have Psoriasis and they can treat that easier. So I am starting a new medicine ointment and Light therapy! I sure hope this works. I have been broke out for almost a year and a half and would dearly love some relief!!! The Asthma is having its ups and downs when the barometer changes. But holding my own on that front too.

Good for you Vana. I wish I could lose thirty pounds.

I seem to be going in reverse. As I said before, I'm trying to cut back on the junk food, and I did start exercising again. No killer workouts, I have to ease back into it after stopping for so long, but a little is better than nothing.

Or that's what I thought.

I weighed myself a few days ago before I started exercising again, and I weighed myself just this morning.

I. Gained. Three. Pounds. :? :Q :angry:

Makes me wonder why I even bother. Might as well just flop down in the recliner and stuff my fat face.

Your body will do this to you, LK. Part of it is surprise that you're moving more, so it's trying to survive. Part could be water weight (it's a thing!) and part is muscle. Pay no attention to that. Pay attention to how you feel.

Our scale needs a new battery. So...what scale? ;)

Vana...I bet they noticed but they're not sure if they should mention it because weight can be such a touchy subject. Probably after a while someone will say you've been looking really good. :)

I walked a whole mile last Saturday...then got sick, then started feeling better...and now I'm coming down with something again. I need to build up my stamina as my mom and I are going on a trip in April. More information will be forthcoming. ;)

Well I feel like crap. I'm tired all the time.

I didn't exercise today, I had too many errands to do after work.

Maybe if I stop eating altogether I'll lose a pound?

Don't stop eating. Makes it even worse as your body becomes more and more convinced that it's dying, and it's pretty much right. Starvation makes it even harder to lose weight. Just make sure you're eating lots of the right stuff (veggies and lean protein) rather than junk food and you'll eventually turn around.

Wow, this thread has dropped way down. :Q

I haven't really been doing any exercising. I somehow hurt my knee about 2 - 3 weeks ago, and it was all I could do to walk. I had to wear a knee brace almost constantly. I only took it off when I could sit with my leg propped up and didn't have to be walking/standing for long periods of time.

And no, that's not just an excuse. It still feels stiff and looks a little swollen. I wouldn't dare try any exercising WITHOUT the knee brace.

How's everyone else doing? Better than me, I hope.

Probably want x-rays and all. Hope they can do it all in one day, and I don't have to go back for the x-rays.

Me, not so different. Still struggling to stay even at least and Halloween is, obviously, making it rather difficult. Every time I turn around, somebody's shoving candy in my face. I feel like I want a baseball bat for self defense.

I have started my exercising again. Started Dec. 1st as a matter of fact.

I wear my knee brace, and I'm trying to be careful and not injure it again, although when I hurt it a few weeks ago, all I did was stretch out my leg.

But I am working on increasing my time on the elliptical. Before I hurt my knee and couldn't exercise for a while, I was up to at least 15 minutes on the elliptical, and my speed was usually between 5.3 and 5.5. But I had so much down time, I kinda had to start all over.

So now I'm up to 12 minutes (barely :D ) and my speed is between 5.0 and 5.3. I try not to drop below 5.0 but sometimes that's not easy. :P Don't think I've lost any weight yet, but........at least I'm back to trying.

So how is everyone else doing?

I have managed to maintain my weight lost through the year but have not lost any more. Oh well, I have not given up and continue to try to eat fresh fruits and veggies and move more!

I've got a horrific head cold. :x

Can't really exercise when your head feels like it's about to explode and breathing is a problem.

Better than doing nothing, though, Iris. :)

Obviously, my fitness regime was scuppered by getting pregnant! I had been either gradually losing weight or not putting it back on (much - Easter was a killer!) for a while. I've been lucky in that in addition to not getting morning sickness, my appetite hasn't increased a great deal, so I've managed to not put weight on whilst pregnant (aside from the weight of the baby etc) - apart from the bump (which is HUGE!) the rest of my body hasn't increased in size. So hurray - hopefully that'll mean losing weight after the pregnancy won't be too much trouble.

My main aim next year is to get back into horse-riding as soon as I can after having the baby. I really miss being able to do it, and it's affected my back, which is starting to bother me again.

I was hoping to restart my exercising on Jan 1st. First of the month, new year, all that.

But this stupid cold, sinus infection, whatever it is just won't seem to let go. :x

I'm not as congested as I was, but I just have no energy. I get up thinking I'm really going to get something accomplished, but after a couple of hours I'm so tired all I want to do is take a nap.

Not a great way to start the new year. And I don't know what to do about it either. :(
