Glad Sable got checked out. This cold that's going round is getting into peoples chests. :( Tell her to keep an eye on it, Calma.

Iris, that's good news about Rob.

Our local chocolate shop organizes tours to Bali for something chocolate related. Wish I had that kind of spare change.
Impressive. Every word in that sentence was wrong.

I was threatening yesterday to hunt down the idiot(s) who came up with the idea of DST and beating the crap out of them. It was kind of scary the amount of support I had for that...

I can't either, but I took a chance.

I had to use an older picture for my 365 this week.
I have been having the darnest time with my new camera
And getting it to download onto the computer.
Well, guess what I found out today?
There's a cord that one can use to plug into the computer.
And where is said cord?
Well, at the store of course.
You can purchase it separately.... :x >-O

I'm totally miffed at Canon.
You get the camera, battery and charger and the wrist strap in the box.
Then you learn you need an SD card.
But is that in the box?

Nooooo

I married a nerd of the highest power.
He has all sorts of stuff so he had the SD card Ineeded.
Still ticked me off.

Now I find I need a flippin' cord
Unfortunately, my babyman didn't have one that fit
So I need to get my butt to a store to get one.

Really you buy the camera thinking you're all set to go
And what happens?
How rude and cheap of Canon to pull this stuff...

It's a good digital camera, but the stuff I need for it
Should have come in the box.

I hear ya, Calma. :P
I had to buy my card and a cord.

My Canon, even with the cord, doesn't talk to my computer 90% of the time anyway. One time it works great, next time . . . forget it. Canon and Microsoft do not work well together. Most of the time I pop out my SD card from the camera and plug it into the SD slot on my laptop. That works 100% of the time, thank goodness!!!

My old Kodak (still works good) at least came with the cord. Over the years the jack for the cord has gone a bit wonky on me, so it doesn't work unless I use one hand to push it in reallllly tight into the camera. It is easier to pop out the SD card for my Kodak now too.

Oh, and happy π day to all.

;)

I don't think LK saw my little gift.
She's not passed out on the floor....

Sable went to the ER last night.
She's home now, but after seeing a real doctor
Not a PA (almost a doctor)
It's been determined she has Bronchitis.
Hopefully the meds they gave her will do the trick.
Fingers crossed.....

Goodness! Poor Sable! :(

I've had a low grade headache all day. I took some Tylenol before exercising and it sort of helped, but it's back. In the past couple of years I haven't gotten a lot of headaches, so that makes it even more annoying. Since it's focused over my left eye, I'm guessing it's sinuses. Poop.

Oh, the poor people in Florida...

Poor peeps in Florida. I heard about it on the news. They said it was a prototype bridge. Not boding well for them... :(

Poor Sable. I get headaches, but they are more tension ones. My physio tries to beat that out of me. Could yours be tension as well?

My dad is back in hospital. Mostly for maintenance. Since they are not sure how to tackle the leaking heart valve, it is mostly draining the fluid off his stomach every two weeks. Not a great solution, but best that can be done right now.

About to knock off to bed
But as my want to do for the past 17 years,
I take one last run through TORC.
Happy that I did! :D
I get to say :hihi: to nl!

Hope all goes well for your dad.
And they find a way to fix him up right.

Sable sounded a bunch better when I talked her this evening.
Not completely well, mind you
But she wasn't rumbling when she talked.

Well, off to bed.
See ya all tomorrow.

Hugs for your dad, nl. :(

The prototype should have worked, but I'm not the engineer in the family. I'm waiting to see what my dad has to say about it. The two companies involved have been in trouble before. This is one of the reasons we need to amend laws for low bidders that allow you to reject a bidder if you don't trust the quality of their work.

They just had a press conference and said they have moved from rescue to recovery.

nl: That's a good thought about the headaches. I've been trying to not worry but I do, and some days it sneaks up on me. :)

Thanks for all the well wishes guys. I am feeling alot better. Seems the antibiotics, musinex and perles (for cough) are working right well.
Told the PA I had bronchitis before but I guess that wasnt enough. They took xrays and did a flu test but the doc confirmed it is bronchitis.

Again thanks for all the good vibes and thanks to Calma for keeping you updates.

Well, that didn't take as long as I thought it would.
We're going to Canada in a couple of months.
And needed the documents to get across the border.
So to the DMV we went.

According to the info on line for an Enhanced License
They were saying 90 minuets to get it all done.
We were out in a hour.
No in person interview, no forms to fill out...
Just show the current license and proof of residency
And I was good to go.

Too cool.

Good job, Calma. Our DMV has greatly improved from years past. Getting a new license is quick and easy nowadays.

I am still waiting for all the snow PA is supposed to get. It would be nice if it mostly missed us. It IS Spring, after all.
