As luck would have it... I acquired (for my birthday) the whole series of Star War movies on dvd (8 of them!), and recently started watching them. :D
Of course, some are better than others, but it is fun to watch. 8)

hmmm. I guess I need a new sig pic.

Yeah that's the truth for most.

Here's my ranking:

1. The Empire Strikes back (duh)

2. A New hope

3. Rogue one

4.The force awakens

(It was really hard to decide whether or not The force awakens is better than the return of the Jedi.)

5. The return of the Jedi

6.The revenge of the sith

7.The phantom menace

8. The attack of the clones

Happy May Day, people!

My favorite Star Wars movie?

Hmmm, I think it would have to be "A New Hope"
Because it was so ground breaking and the first one.
It captivated me and I couldn't wait for the next movies.

I saw "The Phantom Menace" and nearly puked.
After all the hype and anticipation
And we got garbage.
I was so disappointed by it
I have never seen the following two.

I saw "The Force Awakens" and while I liked it
It didn't have the same magic as "A New Hope".

Yeah, but at least "The Phantom Menace" inspired a cool song by Weird Al:

So you like the Umpire Strikes Out?

Of the original three movies, that was my least favorite.

Which is why I renamed it. =:)

Gwaine-lovers (even though we're now in May!) might want to check out The Night Shift on Netflix. It stars Eoin Macken, although without his lovely Irish accent (although in the pilot, there are hints of it). It's a hospital drama, in the same arena as ER I suppose.

Well, back in the day, I was in college when the original movie came out. I think I saw it about 20 times.

So yeah. That one. Now called A New Hope, but it will also be plain old Star Wars to me. :D

heliona, thanks for the info. I shall be on the lookout for Sir Gwaine. :D

Agree with pretty much what Bill said about the listings, though I think Phantom Menace is the worst one. Rogue One was very very good, but they should have done the word scroll.

Heliona, I have seen the Night Shift. It's pretty good but I wish they'd let Eoin use his own accent.

Okay off to find a sig pic...

Yeah, although his Irish accent is stronger than when he plays Gwaine (not that that bothers me!). He's done quite a few independent movies (written and directed as well as acted in) which look interesting. He's written a novel too. Quite a talented individual, is Mr Macken. :)

Wilko and I are hopefully seeing GotG2 tomorrow.

Enjoy GOTG2 guys. Still can't understand why we got it first...are we a test country? Not that I'm complaining.

I picked up my travel documents and booked my shuttles to the hotels. I think this is the first time ever I can go straight to the hotel and get into the room as I arrive after 3pm (unlike London where you arrive at 7am! and have to store bags, which is fine too.)
Just need to get some US and NZ $ now.

No, wasn't planning to. May not get to see it at the theater at all. May have to wait and catch it on Netflix.

It all depends on how long it lasts in the theaters.

Big films like GotG tend to hang around in the cinema for a while.

It was excellent. I loved it! We are Groot! :-D
