It has been eating batteries (so to say)
And two time wouldn't start for me.
Fortunately, both times were in the driveway.
So I was never stuck in a parking lot or at an intersection...

Anyway, it's his alternator and it should be done today.
Going to cost a few pennies though....
Looks like we tighten the old belt for awhile.

Sable will be over today for a day of gaming and such.

Have a good one.

Later....

Our biggest problem with our car is the transmission; we're not sure how much longer it will last and a proper fix would cost more than the vehicle is worth.

Good luck with your game. What are you playing? Myself, I wish I could get enough players together for a few sessions of The One Ring or Adventures in Middle-earth, but I would settle for getting started with my wife's home-brewed [i]Savage Worlds campaign.

Yea, Calma. Been there done that with the alternator, except my car did die at an intersection once. :P

Otaku-sempai, hope the transmission holds out for you. That is a bigger deal than the alternator!!!

Have fun gaming everyone!!!!

My car problem is the shocks. Stupid workplace installed really steep speed bumps, and although I crawl over them like a snail they still took a toll. I blame people who don't understand 10mph speed limit.

About to watch Infinity War...

Otaku-sempai, We usually do home brew in our games.
Hope your Tranny holds up.
Had to get ours in the Buick done last year
And that set the savings account back by 5 G's :Q

Frelga, my doc's office had a parking garage
And the speed bumps are like going over the barriers of a parking lot.
Oh, how I hate them.... :x

Yea. Died right at the intersection in front of Hershey Park. :D
Thankfully it was not summer so traffic was not a nightmare. Some nice folks helped push the car to the side of the road, and a nice officer gave me a ride in a cruiser.

:D  8)

I am off to Scotland. Make sure the varmits get fed so they behave. ;)

FRELGA!!!!!!!!

I know I'm not here as often as I used to be, but when did you pop back? and how did you like Infinity War? Are you in shock? I'm still trying to get in a mindset to see it again. It traumatised me a bit.

Gold watch? DO they actually still give those out? Louie would probably pawn that...just sayin' he's light fingered. ;)

I just dropped my car off to have the rear-end aligned and new tires put on. I think the car dealer sold it to me with the rear end screwed up...never dealing with that dealership again.

Tooks: right at the entrance to Hershey? Maybe the car was craving chocolate? Did you think of that? No, you were just thinking of yourself. ;)

Car stuff is always fun. Turns out I had to put $700 into mine yesterday. Yay.

I was hoping the faint odor of fuel was caused by a fuel pump problem covered under a recall. No such luck. Had to have a bunch of stuff fixed. Yay.

:P

Now off to find more sci fi stuff.....

Here's some sci-fi news: Anime News Network reports that "Godzilla: City on the Edge of Battle, the second film in the Godzilla anime film trilogy, opened last Friday in 158 theaters in Japan. The film ranked #8 in its opening weekend."

The first film in the series, Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters, is at the top of the Japanese charts for DVD sales, and in the #2 and 3 positions for Blu-ray disc sales.

The flowers...ooooooo, the FLOWERS!!! Because of the rain.

I bet we'll be happy for the rain now come August, Tooks.

We have a roof leak, though...and it's been impossible to fix thanks to the constant rain. Rob and my cousin are doing that this evening.

Well Arnie was right, he was Back...a lot.

Finally have Netflix at home, been trying it out on my Foxtel puck. Works pretty good so far. I tried Star Trek Discovery and liked that, though Klingons certainly have changed. Watched 1 episode of Shadowhunters from season 3 and tried Altered Carbon. Not sure about that last one, a little odd but may give it another episode or two to see if it captures my interest. There were a few Netflix originals that look good (Lost In Space and Travellers) but there is a lot of stuff on there I had already seen on Foxtel ages ago. No idea how much download I used as Telstra metering is not calculating at the moment but I do have 3 double up months to use. And watched the season finale of the Flash. Run, Barry RUNNNN!

We had an...interesting day.

My great aunt is, apparently, experiencing some form of dementia. And this weekend it was in full force...we had no idea how bad she was. I think what got her mixed up was the annual trip to her sister's farm was cancelled. And a couple unusual events happened unrelated but in the general time period of the cancellation. And I guess that just got her all balled up. And she isn't recognizing people or places well... My one cousin is taking the lead (she has no children, so the cousins have to step in) but we're going to do all we can.

Otherwise...it was a beautiful day. Warm. Humid. But beautiful. And I killed several wasps today too.

And good, good hamburgers. :D

I took Monday off as a mental health day and went to see Solo: A Star Wars Story. Not bad, Rogue One was better. But still a fun film.

nl: yes, Memorial Day. :)

I'm glad to hear you liked Solo. One of my other friends did as well. I read where some people are pointing at the low box-office scores, but that it's been up against some heavy hitters this weekend. Hopefully we'll get to see it this week. I really, really liked Rogue One (I need a copy).

Sable: my cousin cooks three times a year (well, it will only be twice this year) Burnt dogs and burgers on the grill Memorial Day, July 4 and Labor Day. She is NOT a cook at all! I'm sure you did much better...right?

I believe the sequel to Infinity War is due next May.

We know another Spiderman and another Black Panther are planned, so those two are going to come back. ;)

So....Tooks...what's the plan for June? I was thinking Mythology...if it hasn't been done. We've Greek, Roman, Norse...and more.
