Oh, I don't know. It appears Jar Jar is actually a Sith Master pretending to be an idiot.

Tooks Skywalker entered the darkened room. In the far corner she saw the wooden chest covered in dust. She slowly walked toward it . . .

I was really hoping that video was right, CR. It would have justified JarJar's existence. Alas...

Not sure how much I'll be able to participate in the Star Wars month. I've only really seen the first three movies.

And when I say first three, I mean the first three made, when the Star Wars universe was first brought to the screen.

I think those three are considered the middle of the series?

Dunno, it's too confusing. :)

There are those who say the three prequels don't exist. Any more than the Star Wars Holiday Special.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars_Holiday_Special

I've already got my theme for the Star Wars month.

Those 3 movies are all you need, LK.

Even the more recent movies are better than the prequels, IMHO.

Nope. Not here.

Seems like every time something like this happens----eclipse, blood moon, etc.------they talk it up on local news stations, but then say: "But we won't really be able to see it here because of all the cloud cover."

ALWAYS cloud cover!!

I have the perfect picture for Star Wars month, but it's on another computer...so we'll have to wait until Sunday. ;)

I wasn't willing to get up that early to see the whole moon thing. I did see the full/blue moon that night, but like LK said, the clouds were moving in and any time after 12 is too late (or early) for this chicka.

Iris----well at least you got to see it. That's more than I did.

As far as the groundhog, that evil little rodent ALWAYS sees his shadow, like that matters. We'll have more winter shadow or not.

And Happy Birthday to Mr. Calma. :D

Poor Punxsutawney Phil. They give him a nice, warm borrow, all the kale he can eat, a girlfriend...and then every Feb. 2 in the dead of winter at the coldest moment of the day they drag him out and wave him around in bright lights and a noisy crowd...I can't really blame him for being grumpy and giving us a bad forecast. I suppose we should be glad he's not ripping off faces while he's at it. ;)

One of the handlers was interviewed the other day and he said he has been bit repeatedly. I thought, good for Phil!

Ninui Calrissian and cousin Lando, had just arrived in this outwardly desolate town here on the outskirts of the empire. "So", Lando said to his cousin, "what should we do now" ? Ninui shrugged her shoulders at the question. "Not sure " replying as she adjusted her belted blaster at her side. Let's head over to the cantina. See if anything goes on there". Lando smiled as they turned in unison their capes flaring as they walked down the ramp of Ninui's small cargo ship.

I agree. Of course he's going to cast a shadow if they shine bright lights on him.

Why not just let the poor critter sleep?

Saw this on a greeting card the other day:

"This is the time of year when we wait for the groundhog to come out of his hole and look for his shadow.
Because when it comes to the weather, we'll listen to a rodent, but not to scientists."

And apparently, they don't wait for him to come out on his own, they drag him out!

No wonder he bites.

Tooks ordered a pint at the Cantina bar. She took a swig before she noticed a quiet figure at a table in a dark corner. A small creature sat alone with a bottle of Corellian Reserve.

"Hmmmm", Tooks thought. "Looks like a ... raccoon?"

He was so polite and kind.
