Hey, basil. Yeah, dentistry. Six more months till I get prefixed. How's your health and miss b's?

It's obvious you are still well-adept in UnCapitalized UserName Procedures and Protocol! :) I'm seeing our dentist tomorrow for cleaning by the Hygienist, whose family background, BTW, is Indian. miz b has been in a nursing home since Dec 2016. Doing OK, but still, ya know?

2 cats now, Jeremy & Miss Meeps. They visit her from time to time, whether they like it or not. :D

basil----sorry to hear about miz b, but it's good to know she's doing ok.

Also glad kitties get to visit her. That probably cheers her up. It would me.

Basil:  and pass one on to Miz B

Lost another friend today. He's been unwell for a while now...strokes, other things. Pneumonia finally got him. The flu has been a disaster around here...I wouldn't be surprised if that wasn't a factor too. That's three this month. And there may be at least three more from our church this year...maybe four. *sigh*

Iris I am sending my condolences to you and those whom you have lost. I lost a second friend from Cancer on the 24th. I am not liking these numbers for this early in the year. It sucks that cancer is so prevalent in our society anymore. The meds to treat it as just as bad as the condition they are treating.

Let us pray for a better year and that the worst may be behind us.

There's a couple in our church that's had a difficult time recently. He's had one thing after another, mild mostly, but they build up on you...his wife was recently diagnosed with mesothelioma. She had her first chemo treatment and her body did NOT like it at all...it nearly killed her. She's finally home and another treatment is planned, but the doctors said she would definitely not get that medicine again. Meanwhile, the husband was taken to Hershey Medical Center with an infection...it turned out he had sepsis and had to have a colostomy and another surgery and will eventually have a third one to reverse the colostomy...I guess he nearly died as well.

I declare that February will be good...I command it! :P

I do hope February listens to you, Iris. Especially since I'm scheduled to have surgery next Wednesday. I'm going to have septoplasty to straighten my deviated septum in hopes that I won't get so many sinus infections or headaches anymore.

I'm rather nervous about it, especially since the risks include infection, the septum may tear, numbness in nose, upper teeth or gums, changes in taste, sense of smell shape of my nose. My special favorite is brain fluid may drain from my nose. :Q

And some of these things may be permanent.

So if anyone thinks of it next Wednesday Feb. 7th, just send some special thoughts my way. Healing vibes, steady hands for the surgeon, NO COMPLICATIONS!!!

Especially the brain fluid one. (Not that I want ANY of them.)

LK, you will be fine...but if you want, I'll put you on my churchs' prayer lines and we'll have a bunch of people praying for you, okay?

I know when I have surgery, sometimes I do just fine until the day of, then fall apart. When I had the last one, the surgeon was delayed and that didn't help at all. My mom came back where they had me and I knew she had her bible with her, so I asked her to start reading Psalms to me. It helped. When they tell you (or you read) everything that could go wrong, your brain immediately says, "That's what's going to happen!" but it doesn't. My husband had surgery on his sinuses twice for sleep apnea and the worst thing that happened afterwards is he lost his singing voice. He said it was a small price to pay.

Handsome doctor: "Of course you will!"

LK: "Great! I couldn't before!"

;)

I'll get you on the one now, and the other Sunday. You'll be well prayed over.

I know another of those jokes.

Patient: Doctor, can I continue my life of wine, women, and song?

Doctor: I have good news and bad news. The good news is, you can sing your fool head off!

LK: be sure to have someone from your family email or text someone from TORC and let us know how you did. I know I'll be asked about it at bible study that evening.

I cracked the whip this morning, despite Rob not feeling good, to get to church early so that I wouldn't miss the pastor's talk on this trip over seas to visit his daughter and son-in-law and new grandbaby (they're somewhere on the Peninsula in the Middle East, but we're not allowed to know where). Anyhow...either I misunderstood or there was an abrupt change in plans because he talked about Revelation instead. Which is okay. But when you're psyched up to learn about their trip, and that's not what you get...

So I have to be at the hospital tomorrow at 10:45.

And of course the weather is going to be really bad and driving conditions hazardous.

I can't eat or drink anything after midnight. Not eating is no problem, but as soon as I was told I couldn't drink anything I immediately got thirsty.

I just hope nothing goes wrong and I heal up quickly.

Calma Iris & CR-----Thanks guys for the prayers and good wishes.

To answer your question Calma, no there is no one here with me except the cats. I try to limit my moving to just going to the bathroom and such.

I think the bleeding is slowing down if not stopping altogether.

I cannot wait for this day to be over.Tomorrow I go back to get the packing out, and I'm sure that will be a big improvement. At least I won't be an 80% mouth breather anymore. :D I can inhale through my nose, but not very well.

I'm limiting the amount of time I'm wearing my glasses cause I don't want undue pressure on the bridge of my nose. So I'm not reading any books, and the time I spend posting is limited.

I do watch TV even though that's rather blurry, but I choose a movie I'v already seen a few time, so I already know whats happening. Just helps the time go faster, and if I fall asleep I haven't missed anything.

Later.

Just keep your mind on how much better you feel once this hurdle is over.

And we completely understand about not posting much. Just rest, snooze, pet kitties, and get better.
