Hmmmm....well, I like the cat one (obviously :D ) but that sun daisy thing would probably freak me out.

Especially if it moves.

I bought a house last weekend in an undisclosed location in Bremerton Washington. Nice location. 3 bedroom, real good kitchen, finished basement and parking for 2 cars.
Like my home here so I don't know if I'll be moving there yet or not. My son and his girlfriend will take up residence for now. Also has a fantastic fenced backyard where I can put up some of these great lawn ornaments everyone's posting. "Maybe I'll even pinch that sea monster from that persons yard" !! Mwahhhhhh

Ninui Congratulations on the new house! I go down to Bremerton now and then. Perhaps I can stop in to see you. Are you in Bremerton or somewhere else in the state? I often go to Tacoma to visit my sister there.

I have changed the title of the thread for the new month! Since Feb was traditionally MoST month, we can stick with the Trek theme. In a rather sad twist, Calma's sig pic is from last February. :(

Hi y'all!!!!! Don't duct tape me to anything, I promise to pop by more often.

Melwa, that meme is briliant! I love ST month. Especially timely as Picard has launched on Amazon Prime. I've only watched 1 ep so far but like it. I'll watch the rest when Amazon has dropped the lot.

Sorry I have been so absent. Work has been crazy busy with award season and people on leave. Also planning my holiday consumes me at times, but that is mostly done now. Just one flight left to book. I am hoping to see Alys and Angel (and mini Angel) when I am in Scotland (the UK one, not where Tooks mum lives) but dates are tight so may be a very quick visit. Been about 8-10 years since I last saw them.

Back on ST stuff, I'm still not loving the new Netflix Star Trek Discovery. It is okay but hate what they have done to the Klingons. Dreadful head ridges. What was wrong with Worf's look? It's like the new look Dalek issue all over again.

punts soap box for someone else to rant upon...

Oh dear, you're right, Tooks. Maybe his is the command red that doesn't indicate death like for TNG? Cackle, that bar fight is definitely great enough to deserve appearing in two separate episodes.

Image

Ninui - I only watched TOS growing up and have since watched a bit of TNG, and the new alternate timeline movies. I do enjoy Q popping up everywhere.

I know it's a bit late, but have y'all seen this wonderful Christmas carol? https://youtu.be/XQ_17Lk7k4w

*catches the soap box* Mm, Dove, good stuff. So my hot take is that my favorite Star Trek show is not Star Trek but Galaxy Quest. I have the theme music as my ringtone. https://youtu.be/3VwDwvlSJRk

Wow, today I came onto the board for the first time in over 7 months, and I discovered to my dismay that Calma was gone. :( She was my buddy on Huan's Hounds almost every year at Westminster Kennel Club time (this coming week)--I should have known something was amiss when she didn't reply to me last year. Of course I'm so sorry for her babyman and all the friends and family, and even for her two remaining cats. I was on her Christmas card exchange list too, and all unknowing I sent her a card this year, but nobody mailed me back to set me straight...

But now I have a LOT of catching up to do! The first thing that derailed me last summer was my hubby breaking his ankle and spending 4 months forbidden to walk, much less drive, which took out every long weekend and vacation plan we had for a good half year, punctuated by my hysterectomy in August, and it all put a big delay into finishing settling our late friend's estate (she died in Nov 2018) since I'm executrix and hubby and I are half her heirs... sigh... She was a hoarder, poor dear, and she was another one who didn't tell people of her ills or ask for any help.

I hate losing friends... :(

I really want to watch Picard - I've never been into Star Trek that much (blasphemy, I know), but that one looks pretty good, and Patrick Stewart is always a delight. Seeing some of the original cast returning is also quite nostalgic and sentimental - and I saw that Stewart invited Whoopi Goldberg to reprise her role in Season 2 of Picard, so that'll be fun.

Wow, I need to make time to look at all your links. Meanwhile, we have BBC America here which is running DS9 right now, jolly good too because I really liked that series (especially the first few seasons) and when the other networks were running all the ST series in marathon they were NOT running this one!

Hi Morwenna!! I don't drop by near as much as I used to. Real Life gets in the way.

I'm waiting for Amazon to drop all 10 shows of Picard then I will try their fre month (or whatever it is) and watch the rest. Not sure what else there is to watch on AP, but Treadstone was good. Far too many streaming services to watch everything. Though I did enjoy the Witcher more than GOT. That comment may get me roasted by dragon fire, but Witcher wasn't nearly as MA+++ rated and less is more. Heard they were alos doing Wheel of Time. I may finally have to read that very lonnnnnnng series.

We didn't have any clips yet from the new alternate timeline movies. They're not bad, really. Bones is played so spot-on it's hard to tell the actor is different, and for some reason Spock in this version is very cute.
