The TVM goes thread-diving...

Just as Tolkien and the Inklings used to meet at The Bird and the Baby, come in here to converse about whatever might be on your mind. This is the place for all off-topic conversation.

Even after all these years the Ride of the Rohan still brings me to tears. Actually I think I cried more in ROTK than the other two put together. :horse:

And for the first time I noticed Theoden watching Eowyn fight after the oliphant knocked them down. May have been his first inking she was at the battle?

I know it's been years since I last came in here, but I fondly remember this place and Sir Ian Holm's death also brought back some really fond memories. I missed y'all!

How is everyone here at the TVM doing? Its been *so* long!

PS: So I took a good look all around across the board and I feel like such a stranger here. I would love to reconnect with you all, some I haven't heard from in *years* like Melwa! Brings back many memories.

Oh well, just getting more tangled up in societal life and everything to end up being another work machine.
I'm a graduate now though :)
But I also have developed a special interest in movies. Just as a hobby.

And since this is supposed to be about bugs, I'll just leave this here. Byeeeeee

Excellent MoME trailer, I like it. Looking forward to more as they surface. :)

I found out last week the name of the bird that wakes me up at 4am with a TWEE-tweetwee. It's a chickadee. No fair, they're supposed to make quiet little chirps, not keep me awake. :x

Sid, I too got tangled up in other societal life, both on and off the internet. But it's nice to be back on TORC, and to get to know the current inhabitants of a quieter forum than when I first joined. Tell us more about your new movie hobby?

Happyish 4th July US peeps. Sorry you can't go out and play properly.
I'm glad we have not major holidays coming up here, though peeps in Melbounre are claiming that Covid is a conspiracy and they won't get tested. Really, they think the whole world shut down for no good reason and more that 1/2 million died to keep up a hoax? So in the words of Zoe Washburn: I think you have a problem with your brain being missing.

Stoofid firework holidays are stuoofid!! Poor dog didn't even eat his supper last night. Stuuufid neighbors too. :P >-O >-O >-O >-O >-O

As for stoofid people all over the world, we have some saying they won't get a Covid vaccine if it is available. They are afraid Bill Gates is putting tracing chips into the vaccine. No. Really.
