Some nice videos of nice blizzard may be nice to watch. The next few days we'll be hitting the 90s F in the afternoon. :P

But.... since I am not 'playing' outside in this heat, I am getting some house-cleaning done. Yep. Cleaned the bathroom good yesterday. Got a new shower curtain to put up, and new curtains. Of course, the problem with clean bathrooms is that they don't stay clean very long.

Tooks I hear ya on the cleaning thing. My bane is FLOORS. What? Am I some sort of midnight piggie that spills stuff and doesn't clean it up?? I know I FEEL that I clean my kitchen floors way more than I should need to. ;) I personally blame Scribbles. I think she sends her muse down to trash my kitchen while I am sleeping. :D

Sunday and a needed day off. And I am doing.....little or less to nothing.

I am still working on it. I am able to find a photo, copy it to my paint shop and resize it, but can't get it copied back to TORC. Very frustrating. I also searched for my mouse and didn't find it. They are relatively inexpensive, so I might just pick one up.

Work today and already got called in on my day off tomorrow for an opening shift.

You can't upload sig pics directly to TORC anymore (I know we could at one time). You have to upload it to a place like IMGUR and then hotlink in your sig area of TORC.
For example, this is how mine looks, except I put an extra space after the img tags before the brackets (if I didn't put the extra space there, it would just show my whole sig pic).

[img ]https://i.imgur.com/6SJb4a4.jpg[/img ]

The link to IMGUR is https://imgur.com/ .
You have to set up an account, but it is free (unlike photobucket anymore).

Wish we could get siggies now. I love you guys siggies.

I like Imagur too. Works pretty well.

Can't wait for tomorrow. I have arthritic knees and have to get my teeth fixed before I can get knee surgery
So in the meantime I get cortizone (sp?) shots for both knees and tomorrow is the day. They work pretty well giving me mobility.

*looks around the ceiling* um I got a few spiders here if anyone wants them. *wiggles eyebrows and giggles*

Just send them to rwhen. She lives not too far from you... ;)

Sable, are you planning on joint replacement for your surgery??? I guess it depends on how bad they are. I know a woman who had both knees done.

Hey all!!! I hear ya Sable on dental and knees! I am sort of in the same boat. I have a tooth that broke last October and just got the money to go in and get it fixed. The knees according to one of my doctors are not bad enough yet. I have to take any stairs one step at a time because my left knee wont help me to go up the stairs so I step up with the right and pull myself up. SUCKS!

I am going to have to look into Imgur but all my photos were on Photobucket so I can not even get to them now. I will have to start over finding pictures.

I need both knees done. They are bone on bone right now however I don't have the 6400 to get my teeth
fixed so they will do the surgery. Surgery is covered in my insurance it's just the teeth that are the problem.

I love you guys so much. You make my day when I read all your blogs.

Okay Tooks. Gonna have to help this dunce of a computer user. I did open an account at IMGUR and I uploaded a saved photo from my desktop. I tried to resize it and saved it but it keeps coming back to the original size. So I tried to upload it to TORC and couldn't find a URL to copy or link to. HELP.... I think this is the final hurdle, once I get it figured out...I'll be posting some Nature photos for you.

I size mine at 400x300 or less before I upload it to IMGUR. I never like using the online re-sizers.

Once I have it on IMGUR, I click on the picture and it lists all the ways to use in on the right.

Image

I use the 2nd one down -- Direct Link. Click copy.
Then go to your Profile/Edit Signature page on TORC and Paste the line there. Highlight the whole line and click on the IMG button.

Image

Voila! That is how the pic shows up in your sig. If it is too large the system will let you know.

I have some news about our friend Calma and what a caring person she is.
Today her babyman told me she discussed with him that she wanted some of the
insurance money to go as a loan to me to get my teeth fixed. Even from the beyond she
is reaching out and touching hearts.

On another topic. In Imgur there is a selection on the auto resize that says message boards
sizing. That is what I use to resize my picture. Hope that is an ok selection.

One of my favorite nature picture from my archives

I am taking notes so that I can also get pictures added of nature things like my hummingbirds and such.

Okay so if I am doing this right.....there is a new nature photo in this post (yes, there are fairies in nature, wanna fight about it?) and I will find a new siggie pic to upload soon. THANKS Tooks for all your patience!!

Sable, that is our dear Calma, she loved and loved well her family and friends. Especially you. Now you can get your teeth fixed AND then your knees!! :drink:
What a blessed gift to receive!!

Vanadarlin', if I did it right, nothing to it. You just need to play around a bit with IMGUR. ;)

Spiders????? *collects them up in a glass jar and lets them out down the end of the grassy knoll!!*

Howdy TVMers!! :hihi:

Edited!!! I GIVE UP!!! I started this at 5:00am my time and it is now 6:35. I added the space and typed out img code so link could be viewed but it wasn't there when I uploaded the post. I am going back to bed!!!
7:20am
Edit Part two: I finally got it. I had to manually add in the (.jpg) and the (i.) in the web address, but that did the trick. *passes out at 7:20am*

My photbucket isn't happy with me so no pictures from me.

Centipedes!!! They has so many legses! Ewww, I don't like creeping things. Nor worms. Wiggly things. Good for the garden though.

Hugh Jackman is doing shows here in Sydney tonight and tomorrow. Sadly I can't afford to see him, though friends of mine are going tomorrow. But I can afford the semi professional Mamma Mia show so I'm taking my parents today.

And speaking of shows, I finally get to see Queen (or what is left of them) on stage. I am taking some wedding photos for a friend and said I would do it for free as it was only a small one (I did her 1st wedding pics too) And she kindly bought me a ticket to see Queen in February. WOW! I remember wanting to see them when they came out here in 1984 but my mum said I was too young to go to the show and stay in Sydney by myself.

That's incredible, Sable - Calma was truly an amazing person.

I'll have to find a nice nature-themed signature pic - the nature around here is something wild, as I've mentioned before. Everything from coyotes and bears to that infestation of moles a few years back.

Tookish, that centipede is absolutely terrifying - I probably could never live in a place like New Zealand just because of the bugs alone: I think, if I ever had a real life Weta cricket in my house, I would just evacuate the premises. I don't know what I would do. :D

Nature #2, I tried to find something of right size from Multnomah Falls, very close to where I live....but nope, I thought this was a lovely nature photo though.

NL I would have loved to see Queen!!

Thor'n, not sure if you can have an actual siggie pic that will stick....but you can post in thread any photo of the right size. :) Can't wait to see your photo!

Vanadarlin' How are you this very warm here Saturday morning? It is going to be blazing by tomorrow and first of next week, upper 90's. Oi. Hug a kitty for me and a Guru too.

Tooks??? Why for the love of all that is good and kind do you have to post a photo that scares the "poochies" (thank you dear Calma) out of me??? :Q
