Class of 2000?

Just as Tolkien and the Inklings used to meet at The Bird and the Baby, come in here to converse about whatever might be on your mind. This is the place for all off-topic conversation.

I just spotted a sneaky Shadowfax post! :horse:

Wow! What can I say? This old thread has seen much since that one drunken night in 2004 when I started it. I had long since edited it because the original start was something like ‘we rock’ or something. Anyway, Having only recently returned from a long darkness in life, I have had a quiet stroll around these hallowed halls. And as it just so happens that the post limit is 2000 and this has stretched the limit by a few, I will take the honor of starting a new thread? Are there any 2000ers still around? It is good to see familiar names such as Anriel Mendereth, Erinhue, Heliona, Denethor, Terry D, Gungnir, Gilaglar, Dunthule, Shadowfax (of course the originals of 1999 are always welcome)…. So many fond memories.....

I'm still. Like a bad penny. ;)

I hadn't noticed the 2000 post limit had been reached. By all means, start a new thread. There are a few of us still around, popping our heads in occasionally. :) The 2000 post limit was originally because the board struggled with longer threads. I think it's all right now, so there's no rush to make a new thread, but go ahead.

Great to see you here again, Raven.

The Fellowship of the Ring was still far off.
Anyway, I trust everyone is doing well? :)

Hello, thought I'd check in here and say 'hi'! I still see a number of you on FB and on another Tolkien related board I belong to, but still fondly remember TORC.

Hard to believe it's been almost 17 years since I joined!
