My Engagement to Lidless is in trouble :( & I blame Farawen!

Just as Tolkien and the Inklings used to meet at The Bird and the Baby, come in here to converse about whatever might be on your mind. This is the place for all off-topic conversation.

You know how most of the time, when someone types "LOL", they're just smiling?

No, in this case I'm really Laughing Out Loud. I'm glad that the house is empty (and hoping that my neighbours can't hear me).

It's like when the farmer comes to the chicken coope and finds a chicken for tonights tea.

Lidless is the Chicken farmer, he has chosen his chicken, the rest of us chickens can be safe....for now.

Safe?!? There is no such thing. That eye follows us everywhere, those links crack our ribs every time and his comments throw to furry feathered bitts.

There is no hope (except for Estel) - and hopefully there will ever be an end in sight either

Don't know what you're talking about, Estel, those songs sound wonderful.

Especially the pretty figwit one.

Question: How good of a singing voice does TLE have? If he's yodeling these things in a off-key baritone, it could indeed be pretty painful.

Sing? No, only one person is crazy enough to do that. :P

Plus I seem to remember finding those audion recordings a bit too painful.

 Blame me? *blinks innocently* I'm innocence personified, as anyone who's met me will tell you.

Wait. Estel has met me. Okay, scratch that thought.

Estellie, I should probably tell you that October may turn out to be a very hard month for you. Condolences. You hang in there, kiddo.

Be glad you're alone. My mother's sitting right behind me watching television. She keeps shushing me... can't figure why.

Stellie, sorry to lag on you now, but I've LOLed myself to death and have gone to my own little pre-Cubist heaven.

Take that, Din, you insolent prick!! :P And technically, that pirate thing was Jae's suggestion, so go bug her :P

Ok, i don't know what i was thinking last night, but i've read over those songs again, looked through the figwit website, and decided that Estel deserves my full and heartfelt sympathies :wink:

could be worse. It could be Farawen singing them to you.

Lidless, you're not going to sing at your wedding, are you? and have you arranged to have the wedding "televised" on Torc for us to see???

Ari-Anna, We move to Florida on the 29th. Still in Amsterdam right now.

notlistening, *sing*? I've never sung in my life. Noises have come out, but I'd hardly call it singing. As to "televising" the wedding for TORC, well no, and you can blame Harvester for that . We had toyed with the Gathering 2005 (given that we met at Gathering 2003), so that many of our friends would be there, but they put it off for a year. bundle if we were going to do the same.

Thats ok Bubblefish, she is a woman in love, fallen to a salty Seadog with a silver tongue and undeniable charm. I think it's the smooth scalp, the open front silk shirt and the gleeming gold medalion.

I mean it worked for Estel =:)

By the way Peeg, your errr, slang use is colourful. I guess some words are not as harsh in Oz as they are over here ;)

I made the mistake of showing Lidless this thread, and now he’s singing Figwit songs again.

It’s been 16 years and I still haven’t recovered from the first time!
