Glad to see at least a few are still walking.
'berry, good to see you are still holding down the fort.
yona, OF COURSE I remember you. I remember when you started and yep, that was me who said slow and steady was better than fast and quitting. I've seen so many all excited start out and pour a big chunk of their life into it, find it not sustainable and disappear after a few weeks. Just like New Years resolutions! So you are doing awesome....still in the game and look how far you've come!! Let us know when you reach Redhorn Pass so we can celebrate
Frelga, good to see you are still on the Road. Keep on truckin'!
Hi LalaithUrwen, welcome to the Road! Yes, it's still alive though quieter than in previous years. Rowanberry keeps the torch alive and some others like myself check in periodically. I personally don't think it's cheating....if you did the miles you did the miles!! Well done! Meeting the elves is fun huh
. Please keep letting us know how you are doing...it's fun to hear about the milestones people pass and what they are seeing on the journey. My personal favorite is the first time they see the Black Riders on the Road...such fun....it's early in the Walk so people are bright-eyed and bushy-tailed and they are so excited plus it's such a visual part of the journey....EVERYONE can feel the creepiness of the Riders.
For myself, I'm still in Bag End. I've moved in with my partner and we're trying to fit two adults in their 40s and their accumulation of physical and emotional baggage into 734 sq ft of condo. It's actually going quite well...being in love makes it easier! And I let myself go physically in Sept and Oct and then in Dec. So I've got some ground to make up with that....lost noticeable muscles and put on a fair bit o' fat. My boyfriend and I are "cleansing" non-stop for Jan: no dairy, no sugar, no processed food, no junk food, limited carbs only in the first 2 meals of the day, 6 meals per day etc. We're super strict and no "cheat meals" until Feb. I've already lost nearly 5lbs in 6 days but that may be water weight. I FEEL so much better though. And my body is already processing food noticeably different...it makes for some interesting effects in the bathroom
And for the rest, I read
and live gently
I wish you all a happy and prosperous New Year. May 2011 be the year you realize some of your fondest dreams and bring you a rich and interesting life
