Drieske's and Canamarth's Fashion Tips - We also do Chitchat

Drieske's and Canamarth's Fashion Tips - We also do Chitchat

Postby Canamarth » Fri Nov 16, 2007 7:27 am

It's the other one's fault!

We just found out that pink ribbons suit Maeglin very well and she thought we should open a fashion agency.

So, anyone else in need of styling tips? Are the Gondorian fashion weeks not as inspiring as you thought they would be? Is the Angmar style guide too gloomy for you? Come in and ask the ...experts. I'm sure I can provide you with some exotic accessory tips from Dorwinion and drieske will be happy to add some horsey touch from Rohan.

Other than that - you are welcome to just chat with us. We've been away for a while now and I guess we better open our own thread before we totally hijack rwhen's "For the Fallen...". Thanks for giving us a starting point!

I'm glad to be back. :)

Alright, I'll take the blame, here's "the other one" :hihi:

Yes, like my partner here pointed out, we are totally ready to be of fashion-service.

Ofcourse we're qualified, certified and registered, so you can put your trust and taste in our capable hands. You'll all be amazed at the results! :happydance:

Boy oh boy, uhm girl oh girl, yes it's sooo good to be back :)

I hereby declare that you two still need to improve your fashion taste... me with pink ribbons would be terrrible!

Rather try comming up with a better design for a dark elf...

*growls at his lady and Drieske for making fun of him*

It is that i have use of you two in my master-evil plan otherwise your fashion design would go up in smoke...

Alright, let's be serious about this, Maeglin. I had my doubts about the ribbons, too (though they still suited you :P).

For you, I wouldn't bother with too much cloth.
This should suit you well. *swoon*

I don't have much of a sense of fashion.

I have discovered, however, that I look better while wearing black than I do in anything else. :P

I either have no fashion sense at all, or an extraordinary one. I make my own clothes :D

(really now, Maeg. Pink and black go so well together! How can you deny it?)

In truth I don't like pink at all, most certainly not for clothes :P

So Maeglin and Ugluk, you may both dress in black! And if you decide to take Canamarth's offer, then I'll supply you with a sturdy piwafwi, so don't worry

Tell us more Jiyadan, what kind of clothes? :D And you mean sewing them and all? Whow, compliments. Never made it past the fourth lesson, then I decided those talents were wasted on me hehe.

Do you wear the same style shorts along with a really big hat, sunglasses, and flip-flops, Tooks?

a fancy way of saying "eternal, depressing darkness" I believe. :P

I used to wear all black all the time, now I just wear half black all the time. :P Well, most of the time. I finally got into my pretty embroidered hippy hip huggers that my hubby gave me for Christmas when I was pregnant so I wear those nearly all the time now. :P

Sounds real cosy the way you describe those 'hip huggers', they must be really comfy right? Black is really beautiful :)

What do you think Dubatuluk, should Ugluk wear those happy shirts too, so his eternal depressing darkness will lift? ;)

Ugluk, please let us know if we can help you to brighten your soul?

I'm mostly wearing earth colours, or black, and jeans, lol or white

Great to see you again, been too long!

So long even that it clouded your judgement off what would look good for me :P

CanamarthThat is already much more like it! Cool piwafwi with it, and I am all set for "work".

Tookish_Traveler, nice clothes, I know a certain friend of mine (who used to post here) who would love your style hehe

Psssh, as if I need fashion tips. One day the world will realize that polka dots and stripes go together like peanut butter and jelly. Like milk and chocolate. Like Al Gore and global warming.

But until then, maybe I'll try some Gondorian styles, they seem pretty interesting.

There is no way to brighten my soul. Besides, I'm a writer, and writers need to suffer in order to right well. If I wear bright and cheery colors I may become a bright and cheerful person, and my writing would suffer. Black's the color for me, at least until they invent a darker color.

Nope....actually it's black and there's white text on the front that says "It's just an ordinary rabbit, isn't it?" and on the back it says "We shall not risk another front assault - that rabbit's dynamite!" and a huge picture of the Killer Rabbit.

It's a simple fact that Monty Python was very often about death and violence.

Polka dots and stripes *scribbles in her notebook and ponders*
Thanks for that tip Elf-Maiden!
And don't feel n00bish, I was away from TORC for years, and so was Canamarth.

*makes another note: the quest for a darker colour than black ~ Ugluk*
This fashion-agency will be keeping us busy for the days to come, Canamarth, when will we set off on this quest? Next week available? ;)

Perhaps wearing hawaiian shirts will help your writer's soul to go deeper into that rainy miasma, the controverse between colour on the outside and whatever you want on the inside? :P

*Sits down to watch Monty Python*

Welcome GwenElf, that was a bold statement

Reminds me of something Beth Hart half joked during her concert in Tilburg: "Things are going too well at the moment, I can't feel the deep emotions I need to write a good song", or something like that. For the ones interested in this great singer: Beth Hart - leave the light on... goose-flesh :rose:

Aloha Silwen-in-pink, I'm grinning here :D

Please tell us, what did you change in? Is it bright and merry, or dark and brooding? ;)

Ah what the heck , is there even a connection between what you wear and how you feel?

I am downloading the Beth Hart song, I really like it! :D

As to my clothes, I've... not changed at all. It is Saturday, so I will be in my nighty all day, I think - unless I change into pyjamas. Those would be nice because my legs are a bit cold (we have some snow here).

It is the perfect weather here to just stay in bed with a pot of tea and some knitting, so that is just what I am doing. Does that make me sound like a bed-ridden grandma? :Q At least my nighty isn't a baby pink, but a strong darker shade.

I'm wearing a black shirt with "carmen et error" on the front and "Bite me, Augustus!" on the back, which Luthy and I designed and had made for ourselves. :D Over it, a black suede coat which goes down to my knees because this building is cold! *shivers* I don't feel particularly emo or morbid despite all the black, although grad school application deadline time is approaching... *twitch*

Silwen-- Here, "nighty" and "pyjamas" are pretty much the same. At least to me.. they're both things you sleep in. What's the difference, pray tell?

Tomorrow... lime green and orange, all the way! =:)

A nighty is like a dress, PJs have bottoms and a top.

Right now I have my PJs on, after a shower I felt like a change. :D Coincidentally, I have changed into a black jumper - I have no idea how old it is, really. I bought it sometime in my teens and it's from Levis. On the front it says "We put a little bit of blue in everything we do". Interesting...

I think I would be interested in some fashion from Rivendel. I would imagine they have a lot of autumnal colours which I would like very much. And I like the designs anyway.
