OOC(3) :: Redemption, The Reckoning

Pull out your pack and head on down to the Prancing Pony for some great Role Playing (try to stay in character)!

Aw Scribbles, sorry to hear about your loss. And sorry to hear the ski season is over; next year, eh? Great news about the new job for the Hubster! And two weeks you're shipping him off? :D Hey, maybe we'll catch one another on chat?

And I am taking vitamins - yes, so that's good advice. As for rest; I want to do a bit of writing before I fold myself into my sheets tonight. I think my having no energy to write is one of the reasons I'm a bit edgy and unhappy. I've got too much 'creative buildup' - it's gotta come out!

:) and I miss you lovely, cwazy bunch of talented writers. I love playing with you all.

my life needs more play.

And Bardy, hope you get better ASAP :*

Ro, you've got to post this over in EP! Great picture. :)

Bardy, I do hope you feel better. Perhaps going out was unwise, but hey, my philosophy is, if I'm going to be miserable, at least I can be miserable some place fun. Take care of yourself now.

Scribbles, sorry to hear of your loss. And sounds like your hubby's unemployment was very short. Good luck for his new job.

CR, how are you?

My job is revving up into the final two weeks before the release. I might have time to eat and sleep. Maybe. But then things should calm down a bit.

So what was that writing you mentioned, Bardy?

It's for Recks; trying to move the dance-floor scene along and get Scribbles and Guil in the lime-light, as it were.

Know where the phrase 'lime-light' came from? They literally used to burn quicklime in an apparatus and shine the light onto the stage in the early 19th C and that lasted until electric lights took over. Highly flammable and dangerous. Like the Scribe. :P

And yes, I haven't forgotten; Dale.

Added to add: And good luck with the project, Frelga. I can empathise. :)

Edit to add : 940 words! yay! I'm drafting in the Gdoc Dancefloor doc if any member of SOMA wants a preview. ;)

Our regular readership will have to wait.. but not for long. :D

Hiya, Bardy! Nice work there in Bandit tales. :)

My big project is nearing the end, and is now in the cleanup stages. Ah, to breathe again. :) Not coincidentally, I am also climbing out of dry writing spell.

Can it be that we'd see some posts here soon?

Glad to hear you're on holiday Bardy! I will be too in . . . oh, four more days. ;)

Frelga, that's good news on your end too. Been there, done that, (still doing it actually) so you know I feel your pain. :D

I never did peek into the GDoc for a preview and now I doubt I'll get time before landing on the islands Wednesday. :P:D

Looking forward to relaxing in the sunshine and reading what all you folks cook up . . . =:)

ALOHA all!!!

Landed safely on Wednesday, exhausted but happy. ;) Now that all the brouha of settling in is over, we can kick back and relax, and in my case that means let the muse run wild. Which, in a fit of pure spite, she's yet to do for Recks. Other stuff? Yeah, no problem there. Sheesh. Ah well, she'll come around after another few Mojitos . . . :P :D

I'll try and check back in a day or two. Unfortunately, I still haven't managed to afford a laptop to bring on Holiday, but I think I'll be looking into our Employee Purchase plan as soon as I get back. ;)

:hihi: Island waves to all, hope your week is going well. :D

Later!!

Well, well, well . . . barely a month since I got back from holiday and I'm so exhausted I could scream. :(

Hubby blew off the job he was supposed to start when we got back (but good thing since it was as close to fuel hauling as you can get and he HATES that gig). However, bad thing too since he's been waffling mightily with the other job he had on the table and is STILL NOT WORKING. At this point, I'm on my last nerve, lemme tell ya.

It doesn't help my muse either that the minute I got back from holiday, work slammed into nuclear gear and hasn't let up. Between work and home stresses, I'm not sleeping regular-like so the muse has thrown up her hands in disgust and gone off to party with the sailors in Vancouver again. Stupid cow. :P

So, I'm not going to jinx anything by saying anything right now. Suffice it to say that writing for our story is at the top of my "First Things To Do as Soon As . . ." list. :P

Now, where is everyone else and how's life treating you?

:D:D:D

No worries Frelga, I know exactly how that happens . . .

So, here it is another month gone and work is still insane (if not worse), hubby has been out of work 5 months to the day and now I'm waiting for my cousin to arrive in the city . . . who was supposed to arrive on Saturday because I TOLD her that I work and coming for a visit on a weekend would be best . . . How much of a weekend is a couple of hours Sunday night? Because by the time they get to my moms to drop off my aunt and then I go get the rest of them and get back here, it'll be after 10 pm.

My Team Lead and Project Manager both are quite understanding and I'm green-lighted to work from home tomorrow and Tuesday. But NOW cousin is saying they'll be here until Wednesday because, well, THEIR schedule slipped doncha know.

Tough Enchiladas. I absolutely HAVE to be in the office on Wednesday morning for a meeting that was already postponed from Monday, so if you're leaving Wednesday, guess what . . . you're leaving when I leave for work . . . and I'm not pushing it later than 8 am.

:P:P:P

Am I being mean? :(

Re: OOC(3) :: Redemption, The Reckoning

Postby SilverScribe » Fri Oct 26, 2012 11:50 am

Scribbles wanders in and wrinkles her nose at all the dust and cobwebs lurking about the place. A few muttered words and a flash of silvery light brings two ethereal winged pixies armed with dusters and buckets; both sporting bright pink aprons with "Mighty Mini Maid" emblazoned on them. While they set to work with a vengeance, Scribbles saunters over to the fireplace and after licking her thumb and forefinger, reaches out and touches the laid but unlit fire; causing it to burst into warm, inviting flames. Soon the chill in the big common room disappears (along with all the dust and cobwebs and the cleaning pixies to boot). Scribbles saunters over to the bar, pours herself a stiff one and then plunks down in one of the many comfy chairs by the fire to muse aloud . . .

Soooooooo, the summer just screamed past like a Nazgul on Steriods with the fall in hot pursuit . . . :( Here it is, nearly November and we're not only still in Imladris, we're all still sitting around on our collective duffs eating . . . and DRINKING!! (Or was that SMOKING!!) LOL . . .

Anyway, I know the uber crankiness of TORC in the past month or so has made it near impossible to do anything much less post, but now that the Great Renovations are well in hand, Ithought I'd test the waters as it were and see who's around . . . or at least who's notifications might still work, LOL. :P

I realize that a "busy" season is approaching, especially for our American members what with their big Thanksgiving frou-frah followed closely by Christmas (the Festivus for the restofus ;) :P :D ).

But it would be nice to know that someone else besides me is still alive after all this time . . .

:P :D
