WOW what a week! 8) HOT as Mordor here! Broke and reset records yesterday and today! It could cool down to the 90's now THANK YOU! I didn't expect to add another client to top it all off so its been even busier than I first thought I'd be!

Soooo, I will get something done tonight at least get us into the air CR! I have to finish my time sheets for last month scanned and sent but that isn't too difficult IF the printer/scanner works and since its so warm, everything has been on strike! I got the hottest room in the house (YEAH-NOT!!!) Some uninterrupted sleep would be appreciated greatly. hope to get that tonight!

Postby erinhue » Sun Jul 21, 2013 5:40 am

I been gone but I'm back now, sort of. I generally shut the center down for two weeks in August so my staff ( )gets some summer prime time time off. Dan is old enough this year for a local youth marching band group started by a High school music teacher who lives in the neighborhood. Ya shoulda seen this guy's face when he heard m'boy on the drums I might be a little bit biased here, but the boy is bang-a-rang good  All that ta say this, I got some free time coming up that is actually gonna be free. :D

OK the Pity Party Express has looped back to the beginning and is pulling in to it's last stop. Once I do that, I'll be back to the present time. My question is just exactly when would that be? Where are we all and where are we in the timeline as opposed to the actual start of the actual memorial service. While I am perfectly fine with working without one, a timeline or at least a time consensus helps keep us all on track.

I am also perfectly fine with just writing on the fly, batting back whatever is tossed my way. The honest fact is I am lost as to where this is going and where we are in it. Maybe it's just me, it's been awful hot in The City of late. (not angry, just hooot  )

Re: OOC: A WARRIOR'S MEMORIAL (Read first post please.)

Postby Idril » Fri Jul 26, 2013 8:38 pm

A few weeks ago, I saved a baby bird that had fallen out of its nest. Actually the nest shifted to one side I believe dumping the 1 bird out. There were a total of 3 baby birds in the nest and they were just getting their feathers on. I had to rebuild the nest as bottom was falling out of it and then moved it about 4 inches so that a Y branch held the bottom with another branch to one side that seemed to stabilize it. I then carefully placed baby bird into the nest. As I did so I noticed 2 things: 1 it was a robin baby and 2 it had a dark spot on its throat. I was amazed to see momma robin sitting, watching me, chirping at me while I did all this. about 30 minutes later momma Robin brought a worm to the nest. All was well and I was amazed as I had heard that the nest is usually abandoned after a human touches it, much less the bird. But I had to try.

I checked on the nest once a week over the last 3 weeks watching from a distance as momma Robin fed the 3 babies. Today I heard the chirping of momma as she once again sat on the lines above so I went to make sure that the baby hadn't fallen out of the next again. To my amazement, there were no babies left and the one that I had saved, with the dark spot on its breast, was sitting on a branch starring at me. Didn't make a sound but watched all my movements very closely. I hoped to get a picture so came into the house to get the camera and returned to shoot the following pictures. The first 3 shots are of baby and the spot on its breast. The last shot is of momma Robin watching from above.

Ummm how do I attach personal photos?

I reposted part of Morgan's Joy one because it seemed logical and two becaue frankly, I don't know where to go from here. The Pity Party Express has pulled into the station of its last stop so me and The Bard are about done with that. Next move here is to set the two of them on the road back. Yeah yeah I know, he could get there in a wink but get where :? I can play around with the return trip but I think the collective we are gonna have to come to some conclusion since the Boss don't seem likely to be around. I'm just saying....I got ants in m'pants and I wanna dance

I,m busy like mad until I wrap the summer camp. then I close the center to give my staff ( ) some vaca time. When I got time I am gonna try and come up with a start for the initiation. way I see it, with the Boss AWOL and all we could start that one in time out of time mode. We could just say it is sometime after the events of the memorial and start from there. This way the memorial thread can creep on on its own and it is there ready for the Boss should he come to complete this. Wadda ya all think. A possibility or fugedaboudit

Just marking space and time this rainy evening. I'm gonna start them out on the road next...I can play around with this for a few more posts (unless ya want me ta go off on a tangent and write the mini movie that just started rolling in m'head  )

I really am lost here. In the Boss' absence I think we need to come to some sort of consensus about what we are gonna do here. We can all put in a placement post that says where we been and get us to the memorial. Then we can just do it and get it over with. I am more than ready ta rock and this waitin' around is making me antsy

I'm pretty sure everyone is already at the memorial, except for Erinhue, Idril, and the Great Eagle. I've just been cooling my heels waiting until everyone gets here, and then I say we end this thing and close the thread before we lose all interest in seeing a conclusion. Then, we should probably open another thread for the initiations and go forward from there. SB already gave us his blessing to go forward without him, and I say we do it!
