I guess it makes sense to change the whole thing, so now this really is an OOC thread

I am bringing this up to use for ***OOC***. I have tended to need a thread to contact the other Knights/Squires occassionally so rather than starting another thread ... thought we could revive this one? Hey Mirdian ... could you change the title?

Ah ... so you are now wanting the Thread link? It is difficult to find all this in the RP. Sometime's I have to look several times just to find it! Here is both thread sites. Might I suggest that you bookmark them in your favorites or bookmarks!?! or utilize the new feature (if you are a premiere member) of my favorites at the top of the listing. (I am still figuring this one out!) <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>

Mithril Knights Warrior Guild:Beren and Luthien
http://www.tolkienonline.com/thewhitecouncil/messageview.cfm?catid=25&threadid=13930

AND Mithril Knights Warrior Guild:Knights-In-Training
http://www.tolkienonline.com/thewhitecouncil/messageview.cfm?catid=25&threadid=18040

I hope that this helps! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>

Hey Erinhue! How be you Warrior/Bard of Belfalas?

Ah yes, the struggle's of being a new squire. The typical way of a squire (which isn't easy) is to write your 'story' as we are going along and we will add to the story. Not sure if the reason you aren't writing is that you are both gone (due to spring breaks) or that you are testing before spring breaks or that you are having writer's block, which happens to us all! Let us know! Email us. We can help you out. I will try to move us along a little if I can think of something.

FYI: I will be gone tomorrow, 3/27 due to a doctor's appointment. I will also be gone on 3/29 & 3/30 due to celebrating my oldest son's birthday and helping him and his family to move. I will try to check in when we get home but most likely will not be able to until Easter Sunday.

I feel so homesick!

This is my first time I've been here since I last wrote. It's almost unreal, the changes... some of the designs, some of the colors, so many of the people... I don't know where to start except here, and even so, I know that just as much time could pass as I've already let slip by before I write again.

The truth is that, despite from being busy out of my mind (and often my sanity), this place hasn't ever completely left my mind. I realized what part of the addiction of the site is: the people. You all started feeling like friends that I had moved far away from, and never wrote to like I said I would. For the most part we don't even know each others' names, but it feels like there is some kind of connection anyways that has drawn me back, if only sporadicly.

I hope that everyone's lives have been have been filled with happiness and laughter, or if they haven't, that such things may return to you soon.

Elemmire

Hail Elemmire! Good to see you again and glad that you are back, for however long you are back for! Join in where you can and stay as long as possible!

I too, hope that my life returns to 'normal' soon. I will be mad eot slow down here for sure in a couple of weeks due to an upcoming surgery on my right hand. (Carpal Tunnel Surgery that is.) It is not supposed to slow me down here on the keyboard by too much, but we will see. I will try to get caught up tonight or this weekend!

Hello everyone. I have been having connection troubles since last Sunday. Decided to give it a try this morning to see if it would work for me. It seems to be working well for me so for now I am trying to post.

Just a note of info here though. I am having Hand Surgery on Thursday, April 18th and may or may not be able to type much for the next few days. PLEASE carry Idril along in the story line with you all for this time if I am unable to type. I don't want to have to come back and try to figure out how to bring her along. I would appreciate it and I will try to get something moving along today (later) and tomorrow to help give you all ideas of what I want done with her.

I shall make certain that Idril is moved along with us until we return to the GuildHouse and I am certain that Nenya and Parador will agree. Although I am following Parador's lead we will have returned from our mission when or before Elbren returns at or about the 27th.

Scotland was fabulous! I put 1500 miles on the rental car driving through the Highlands all the way from Glasgow to Oban to Mull to Skye to Loch Ness to Stirling...absolutely breathtaking...18 castles, 7 stone circles...good pints, sheep, and Highland cows <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

Just a bit of FYI (call me a horse freak!) <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0> <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0> <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0> <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif"border=0> <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-rolleyes.gif"border=0>

Larger horse's, ones that pull a loaded wagon say a Percheron, would do 20-25 miles a day walking if well conditioned. (These were some of the kinds used by Kings and Knights in the Medeival times because of their stamina. I have based my steed Thalion on the Percheron.) So to run a horse 100 miles in one day would, technically, kill them.

I would say, alternating a gallop with some walking, the horses could feasibly do the 100 miles in 36 hours but we would have to stop and rest them for several hours during the evening. If we are moving throughout the night we could make it back in 36 hours or so but we will all be completely exhausted.

Just a bit of horse info.

<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif"border=0>

Your horse may have died, but mine is still alive...<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0> Both Eärglin and Luinsul have been conditioned for many, many years, and they happen to be of a special breed...<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0> Luinsul was raised in my homeland, Diadron, and Eärglin is and has been under a powerful spell that has enhanced him from the normal horse he was.
