"Well Idril my love, The wedding was beautiful as they always seem to be. Hopefully I didnt jinx this one as I did The Nzzz and Tempest, or Whitehall, and Pipestone, or Austin Traveller and Heart of Faith. But that is all in the past, and maybe this one will endure. Come my love, lets attend the reception."

They walked out slowly arm in arm ans they went toward the bridge. The evening was alight as the sun painted its hues across the feathery clouds high above. Meeting the couple with a handshake and a kiss, Snowdog and Idril congratulated them on their union.

As the dusk settled over the land, the Fireworks lit up the skies as the whisps of clouds high above meandered their way east. As the amazing fireworks ended and the smoke drifted east on the gentlest of breezes, the skies appeared dark with the stars bright and twinkling. The songs by erinhue, Elora, and Turin, and the announcement of Erenduil and Eowyn Dernhelm's betrothal were all touching and grand, as Snowdog drank mug after mug of the ale. He passed on the cake, but he did dance with his beloved Idril. He took her in arm and they spent many a song twirling and swaying in each other's arms.

"There are many here who have not graced the land in long days. Barad-Dur and Enchantress, Arathorn and Genuvere, even Broken Arrow I saw. Hunter, Naveen, and Lady Legrace, and Aerin and Erinhue. I mean, I didn't know who to expect here."

Snowdog looked in Idril's eyes and kissed her slow and soft.

"I hope you are enjoying yourself dear wife!"

Harvestar's eyes twinkled merrily as Naveen left her and Hunter and walked over to Lady Legrace and the handsome sons of Elrond.

Smiling at Hunter, she said, "I was very glad to meet Naveen for I had heard much about her."

Hearing Hunter's question about the stars, Harvestar laughed softly saying, "You do know how I love to talk of the stars, so please interrupt if you have any more questions."

With that disclaimer, she began to point to the bright stars now rising in the East. "Those bright stars there form the constellation of Menelvagar. The three stars in a row are his belt, with 2 stars above for his shoulders and two stars below for his knees or feet. If you look closely at the fainter stars, he has a bow out in front, to the right, and a sword hanging from his belt. The red shoulder star is known as Borgil."

Harvestar sighed again at the beauty of the stars. She began to think that perhaps her knight, Speaker, was right. But there was not time for such thoughts tonight, not at an occasion of such happiness. Her eyes caught next a small group of sparkling stars.

She pointed higher in the sky. "You see that small group of stars, higher in the sky?" she said to Hunter.
Hunter looked puzzled as she tried to locate the group of stars. "I see many groups of stars there," she said.
"If you follow upward, in the direction the belt of Menelvagar points, you come first to a bright star, and then to a small group of stars," said Harvestar as Hunter nodded when she located them.

"Those are the Netted Stars, one of the prettiest sights in the night sky. Most people, on a normal night, can see six or seven stars in the group. But tonight, I think I see ..." Harvestar paused in their walk to count the stars. "... 12. How many do you count?"

More realistic than romantic, the Lady Legrace rolled her eyes and shook her head with a wide grin. "Yet, Naveen, you were immune to my song last time. Shall you achieve the same feat again this time? We shall see.”

Sharing, for a moment, a wordless look with Elrohir, the lady then moved forward and towards the center of the reception. As she went, with a purposeful stride and a thoughtful expression, those ho saw her frowned and asked one another what she was doing. Without preamble or introduction, she reached a point near the bridal couple and closed her eyes.

The first notes of the song were deep and melodic, but in the insidious sweetness was a deep and abiding melancholy. At first, her voice reached out with minute and imperceptible tendrils of power. The language was unknown, so ancient that few creatures could understand the words; however, the melody quickly wove into a net of benign enchantment. Softly, exquisitely, the complex music washed over those assembled, so sad and beautiful and full of hope and aching love that all those who heard it were affected. Lovers clasped hands, and the eyes of those who were unattached shone. And then, even though the language could not be understood, the meaning became comprehensible…

Za morem nehlubsím, ya horou vysokou
Za lesem smutnejsím nez oci detí jsou
Kridla vran, ticíc vran
Devet rek vede tam
Poslochej…

Za branou ticící tam zvonková je zem
A lidé zvonkoví v ní zvoní celý den
Pro vás plac, pro vás smích
Ring-o-ding, pro vás hrích
Poslouchej…

V ulicích z perleti a lístkù okvetních
Domecky sklonené a z krídel motýlich
Barvený vodopád má barev víc nez mùzes znát
Poslochej…

A lidé zvonkovi ve zvoncích zrozeni
Kdyz se stane nestesti, svým zvonkem zazvoni
Ring-o-ding, ring-o-ding, ring-o-ding, ring-o-ding
Poslochej…

Prichází I mezi nás, I mezi námi jsou
Na první pohled je nepoznás, kdyz po ulici jdou
Zazvoní, kdyz prijde cas
Kde by mlcky stál kazdy z nás
Poslochej…

Já zpívam pohádku pro deti zvoneckù
Pro vlásky holcicek, pro ouska chlapeckù
Ring-o-ding, ring-o-ding, ring-o-ding, ring-o-ding
Poslochej…

Az jednou vyrostou, pak jeste zazvoní
Mí lidé zvonkoví ve zvoncích zrození
Pro vás plác, pro vás smích
Ring-o-ding, pro vás hrích
Poslochej…

[OOC – Sorry, I’m no bard, it’s just a Czech dissident song from ’68. Losing myself in the song of Lady Legrace, I took Elora into my arms and kissed her long. The song spun me about as I drank deep my wife and I was lost to all. I did not know the words, but I felt the power, and I wanted nothing more but my wife. I did have to let Elra breath sometime though....

Enfolded in Turin's arms, Elora felt her heart leap along with the soulgem she wore in response to the song that swirled about. Withholding nothing, she met his kiss with a passion that equaled his and left her mind spinning in its wake. The song she may have been able to understand, had she put her mind to it, but she had no desire to put her mind towards anything else but her husband at that moment.

The Ring of Life stirred on her finger, its ruby responding to the subtle power about it. That too escaped her notice, all her focus on her husband as her arms tightened about him. At that moment her entire world consisted of Turin, and she could want for nothing else.

Eyes wide and searching, Hunter gazed skyward, counting the stars as she found them then smiled slowly, shaking her head. “Your young eyes are far sharper than mine. I can find only nine of the Netted Stars.”

The two women continued their walk around the lushly appointed lawn, pausing every so often as Harvestar pointed out the various stars and told Hunter their names. Soon their steps brought them the edge of a slope and spread out below, for their eyes to feast on, lay the beauty of Vanalaitaure.

A ribbon of sparkling light marked a brook’s passage through the trees, winding and turning until emptying into the calm waters of Crystal Lake. The multitude of stars in the heavens above reflected brilliantly on its surface, and when an errant breeze ruffled the calm surface, the stars danced merrily, as if in accompaniment to the soft strains of music that filled the air.

They could find no words to describe the vista before them and they silently turned back to the reception area, holding in theirs hearts forever the beauty they had seen.

Snowdog and Idril were among the dancing couples swirling across the manicured lawns. The ladies in the various colored dresses shone like moonflowers in the dark.

Guests were standing in line to sample the cake that had been cut by Turin and Elora, but Hunter declined, heading instead to a table of sweets where a tempting delight had earlier caught her eye. She had hoped that upon her return there would be a few left; and there were!

Picking one up, she sighed deeply. She knew she shouldn’t let herself be tempted, but it had been ever so long since she had treated herself to something so sinfully delicious. Sinking her teeth into the delicate pastry, the white chocolate so soothing to the palate, she groaned helplessly when the wild cherry filling found her taste buds.

The she heard them, the first notes of a song. Deep and melodic were they; an underlying pulse of music growing slowly, blending with sweetness rich and rare; reaching out to all that could hear. She closed her eyes, letting the music fill and surround her soul, healing her many hidden wounds.

As the last note hung lingering in the air, Hunter opened her eyes, a serene and peaceful light shinning from them.
The song of Lady Legrace touched Saralai deeply as her eyes found Arathorn in the crowd. She had been avoiding him, for how could she tell him she was with child? But the song and music called to her, and she would tell him this night.

But as she worked her way through the people, che smiled at Lady legrace as she was finished with her beautifly song, and Saralai held the word inside her. She came upon Elora and Turin and thought she was interrupting them, but they turned and Saralai bowed in greeting.

"I have little to give you Lord and Lady, but the adorned leather pouches with an eagle feather are for your safekeeping, for they are medicine pouches, and if you carry them whilst facing danger, they will help protect you. Thank you for allowing me to be at your wedding and party."

She saw Arathorn coming so she excused herself and lost herself in the crowd. She was not ready to talk to him. But she stopped and stood, and turned as she saw Hunter's eyes of peace felt inside a raging soul. This touched Saralai even though she had never met Hunter to her knowledge, and it gave her courage, but she only smiled and was going to pass, but she saw now her spirit-sister Arwen and her husband crispycreme, and she reached out and gave them both a hug. She turned beside Arwen and crispycreme, and they were near where Hunter stood, and she had now the strength from these friends and strong spirits to be able to tell Arathorn.....

Turin and Elora paused from their embrace after the lady Legrace's song and thanked Saralai for her gift and attendence.

"I thank thee Lady Saralai for a gift such as this, for it has power, and will be worn by me whenever I go about."

Saralai nodded and seemed to leave quickly, and Turin again turned to his wife. Again holding Elora in his arms, they did sway slowly to song and music, and as they danced about, the feelings Turin had for his wife was that of melting. Yes he was melting, and he had this feeling before... at the Harvest Ball. He was melting together with Elora as he held her close with thoughts and visions of them together as they walked their path through life. He wondered about how the life of the wandering warrior and the Lady of the Imperishable Flame would bind through the years. His knew his heart was bound now and interwoven with Elora's and she would surely make him happy the rest of his days, and he could only hope he offered her as much. Turin slid his hands slightly over Elora's shoulders, back and waist while his eyes were closed as though he had to re-assure she was really there, for he felt as though he was in a magical dream and he never wanted it to end.

Elora sighed softly before raising on hand from where it rested upon Turin's back to his cheek. She traced the line of his jaw and fell into deep eyes that returned her gaze. His hair brushed the back of her hand lightly as they swayed together. She could feel his heart beating through her, and she smiled once more in the knowledge that now hers stood with his and would do so beyond time. Her happiest moments could not compare with this, and she knew that her life would hold richer reward than it ever had with Turin now to share it with.

So much of what had been hers alone she could now share, sights and experiences of Arda that few sought or encountered. Her home for the first time rested within mortal lands, within Turin no matter where they might roam. So she happily danced with her beloved husband, revelling in the love she felt for him and the promise she knew their lives held.

The touch of her hand sent shivers through me an i held her close. Turin was content to just hold her, and as the music Syrinx played and others sang, as the evening wore on into the night. Kissing her neck, her soft skin he brushed with his lips as he traced her jawline with them, finding again her lips awaiting as the waning half moon started to rise in the eastern horizon.

"Oh beloved! I wish thee! Let us steal away to the boat once again!"

Elora's eyes lit up at Turin's words, but she whispered to him,

"But love, we cant......"

Turin hushed her with another kiss and with all he had to drink this night he was letting down his guard. He couldn't stand it! But realizing there were people about he slid his cheek along hers and whispered in her ear,

"Um.. maybe we should make sure we have talked to everybody......"

The memory of the boat that he referred to combined with the touch of his fingers caused a light shiver to ghost through Elora. She closed her eyes, feeling dangerously reckless despite what seemed to come from her mouth but smiled her agreement and whispered her reply into Turin's ear as his head bent close to hers.

Yes, beloved. We should thank our guests for their company this night with us before we leave.

Weaving their way about, the pair began to seek each guest to offer their thanks and behest to ensure the fare that remained was put to good use.

Elora led Turin by the hand and his other hand was handed a full ale and he drank it, spilling some down his chin. After schooning it he tossed teh mug and his hand searched out Elora's ....

"Sorry dear, But I... "

She looked at him with a playful smile before she pulled him up next to her, and they talked to Arwen and Crispy, and Broken Arrow. Turin said something about Erenduil and Eowyn, but they seemed to have been embarrased by Turin's antics in announcing their betrothal as they seemed to have slinked off somewhere.

"Heh.. maybe the boat os already occupied?"

Turin definitly was in good cheer, but he felt he would say something that would get him on deep water, so he decided to let Elora do all the talking.[/l]

After the big annoucement, Eowyn and Erenduil had briefly left Vanalaiture to go and get their wedding gift for Turin and Elora. They returned from the stables leading two little horses just old enough to have finally been weaned. They were white with large shining dark eyes, one male and one female.

They walked up to Turin and Elora where they were dancing, and Eowyn said, "Er, um, Elora," and tapped her shoulder to get her attention. Both stopped dancing and turned to look. "We're sorry to interrupt," Eowyn said, "but we had to give you your wedding gift before you left for your honeymoon. These young horses are our gift to you." Eowyn pointed out which one was male and which was the female. "They have no names as yet, we leave that to you," she said, smiling. The little horses had already gone over to Turin and Elora and were sniffing and nuzzling their hands. Eowyn and Erenduil were standing back smiling.

"Congratulations, and thank you for letting us share in your joyous day!" Eowyn said.

With a grin, Elora let one nuzzle her hand before it moved onto her dress. She laughed with delight at that.

No, little one. You'll find no joy in those petals.

She smiled widely across at Turin who stood running his fingers through the silken mane of the other colt. It was obviously enjoying at attentions it was receiving, eyes rolling and ears flicking in response. The filly before her lost interest in her dress after realising it was fabric and quickly had run her head under Elora's hand until it rested in just the right spot behind it's ears. Elora dutifully began scratching, laughing again.

So precious a gift are these, I can hardly find words to express my thanks. Perhaps it can be in the sharing of the names.

Elora gazed intently at the young horse that gleamed in the moonlight before her, searching and calling for it's name. Suddenly it came to her lips.

Windsong, I name thee for so swift will be your passing over field that the wind will sigh behind us.

Elora nodded once, before she stepped forward to embrace both Eowyn and Erenduil. Windsong moved off to sample some of the ferns, snorting at the tiny blossoms that rained down around her nose as she chewed.

We look forward to sharing your day with you both.

"Beautiful horses Erenduil and Eowyn!"

Turin said in a slightly happy voice, He stepped to them and shook Erenduil's hand and gave Eowyn a big hug and kiss on the cheek.

"They will be great steeds in their coming days! But they will have to pasture for a bit whilst we honeymoon. Will you have them watch for whilst we are gone?"

Turin had stepped back by Elora and petted the horse nearest hin while his other hand wound its way behind Elora. It was then Turin waved at Arathorn who seemed to be seeking out Saralai.

"I dont think I better drink anymore dear ro I wont be responsible for what happens next."

His hand slid a little lower before being re-adjusted by Elora. She glowed in the moonlight, and Turin moved to get another dance with his wife before they left.

Windsong found the ferns much to her taste, and Elora made a quick note to ensure she found some more in the Grove for her on their return. She blushed slightly as she altered Turin's hand and followed his lead to the dancing. She stopped to watch the dancers, to be sure of where the dance was up to, but Turin it would brook no delay.

With a breathless laugh, they swept onto the floor and quickly lost themselves amongst the others. There, amid the dancers swirling about, they flung themselves into the intricate dance that weaved in and about the floor. Once more Elora found herself transfixed by her husband who executed the forms flawlessly. The music leaped about them, urging each dancer onwards. With a grin, Elora found her own dancing brought her delightfully nearer to her beloved. This time it was Turin's hand that checked her own, for which she felt no remorse. She saw one eyebrow elegantly rise as his hands closed about her errant ones and a smile tugged at her lips.

Snowdog and Idril danced the night away and Snowdog took care of a fair amount of Ale before he was unable to dance anymore. He saw Turin and Elora all over each other as newlyweds should be, and He took Idril's hand and they went to sit and eat some.

"Dearest Idril, I need to find time to give them this fine gift from far away lands. But what is there a Lady like Elora lacks? I am sure your gift will help her in need. When I see them take a break from the dance I will give our gifts to them."

Snowdog kissed Idril and brushed her hair with his hand, smiling and see her in the moonlight, more beautiful than ever.

The sweet melody that they danced to made Turin whisk Elora about and off her feet. As they blended with the dancers, Turin was want to let Elora's hands go where they may, but in the company he checked her after the thought of where his hands could go was checked. Surely they were burning for each other, and Turin smiled as Elora and he bumped and ground. But surely they tired as the night stretched toward the early morning. The party showed little sign of ending which was a good thing, but Turin was anxious to get lost in the trees with his wife....

The music flowed into yet another dance seamlessly, this one slower and more tender than the other. Smiling, the two fell towards each other, her eyes searching his and seeing the answer she sought in their dark depths. Her hands tightened slightly in response, before one hand flicked up to one of elven women who had helped her prior to the wedding.

Whilst Elora and Turin swayed against each other, two grooms led the horses that each had arrived on earlier to where they had gathered. Elora almost laughed aloud at the sight of one side-saddle before she remembered she could hardly sit a horse as she normally did her her skirts. The grooms and their horses waited patiently for the dance to conclude. Elora found herself torn between enjoying the sensation of Turin about her and trying to remember how to ride side-saddle. She did not wish to embarrass her lord and husband by tumbling out of it. But Turin was too tempting, and she decided that she could always cheat and use her powers.

As they swung about, Turin caught sight of the horses and smiled widely. She answered with one of her own and whispered.

You have but to say the word and we can leave these good folk to their revels, beloved.

Snowdog saw as Turin and Elora quietly moved from the dance and seemed to be making their way toward the lakes that reflected the Moon and stars, anD Snowdog and Idril arose to meet them,

"Fair Lady Elora and Sir Turin, we bear gifts that you may find useful upon your time ahead. I have little but these packs of exotic teas and herbs, and also this wolf-jerkey. it will keep and though it tastes not the best, it will sustain you long in the wild. For you Lady Elora, Idril gives you this lock of her hair, for it has been worked by the wizard Curinifin and retains its veiling ability. With this necklace, byy wearing it and letting it rest upon your breast, it will veil you from eyes that seek you. But its use is limited, and is more effective at night, for though it may veil you, it will not veil your track or dust. Use it in need."

Snowdog shook Turins hand and gave Elora a hug, and as they all turned to see the ice sculpture fall to the side, They all smiled. Snowdog said,

"May life be long and filled with bliss!"

With that Idril had signalled for their horses to be brought and the walked off slowly into the darkness.

"Surely your gifts will be put to good use Snowdog and Idril. I am familiar with wolf-jerky as I had made some while in the wild only recently, but only out of need. I am sure your maranide has made it more palitable! Again I thank thee for the herbs as well."

Turin kissed Elora after Snowdog and Idril parted with Elora, and he whispered to her something about maybe announcing they would be off to their honeymoon...

"If you love care to tell where we go, it is up to you, but dont you desire some time now alone?"

Turin nuzzled her neck as he finished whispering.

Elora watched the pair depart, her smile in place as she held their gift in her hands. Such gifts were often what lent hope in places and times of desperation. She looked across to Turin, and grinned as he embraced her. His breath moved softly across her skin, and she rested her cheek against his for a long moment, and she needed little convincing that he was correct.

Well I think it time to announce our departure, and I shall borrow from my beloved husband the chosen manner.

Leaving the reins in the hands of the grooms, Elora sought the closest table to stand upon, and beckoned Turin up beside her. In a clear voice she made her announcement.

Friends, old and new met all. A more joyous night I could not conceive of, and I hope for you all that you find the blessings and happiness in your lives as you bring to Turin and I tonight.

But now, we leave to seek our paths together across lands long untrod. The wine flows still, the music beckons, the night is still alive and so we urge to take it up and enjoy it to its fullest.

May the blessings of Valinor and the peoples of Hador shine on you all. We bid you farewell on this fair night.

Together, they bow to the assembled guests and the musicians pick up a happy melody as they rise. With ease, they jump down from the table, mount their horses and turn to the south. Relieved that she had made it into the saddle without incident, she raised her hand in farewell as they skirted the silvery lake and headed off.

Behind them, a sweet scent drifts across the gathering, one mingled of blossums. For each guest, in each place, appears a parting gift. On the snowy linens rests one of two things. In some places, carven from crystal hued many colours, are two flowers twined about the other. One is native to Valinor, the other native to Hithlum, the homelands of husband and wife. In other places rests a realistically carven figure of a wolf. It is shaped from a smokey and silvery crystal and represents the qualities of strength, loyalty, endurance and fierce pride.

(OOC - Again, my apologies! I've been having SOOOOO much trouble getting on TORC.)

Aerin reached for a nearby glass of champagne and lifted it. "To Turin and Elora - may you enjoy your honeymoon, and may every day of your lives be as happy as this day!" She drank from the goblet.

"To Turin and Elora!" Said Friend, and she raised her glass. After drinking from it, she walked over to the table where Queen B had put the silver trikits. She wasn't exactly sure what to do with them, so she put the one that she had taken on a chain, and hung it around her neck. She then went to enjoy the food table.<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

Elrohir went to his lady as the inner flame lessened to a soft incandescence. Her eyes were unfocused, and she blinked several times. When she saw him, a loving smile curved her lips and she held out her arms to him. He embraced her and turned her face up to kiss her.

Elladan found that he had instinctively reached for Naveen’s hand. Still not quite realizing that the song was making him impulsively enact his thoughts, he gently pulled the lady into his arms and stroked her hair back from her face before kissing her sweetly upon the lips. The lady did not protest and he felt her hands and arms sliding around his shoulders. She seemed to be enjoying the moment as much as he was. Them he lifted his head and loosened his hold on her. “Lady, you know not what you do to a man,” he murmured.
