"I think we should beloved! May I be able to walk now!"

Turin shook the hand of Arathorn and gave Eowyn a hug and a kiss on her cheek, and he took Elora's arm and they slowly started to walk down the aisle. there began a shower of petals as they made their way to the back.

"Beloved wife, am I walking?? I can't feel my feet! How can I dance?"

Turin was locked arm-in-arm with Elora and he was the happiest man anywhere! He had Lady Elora Starsong as wife, and it would take some time for it to really sink in. He could not believe the doubts he had beforehand. He leaned and kissed her cheek and whispered,

"Dearest, the dance is yours, and I will be hard pressed to not repeat those moves from the Harvest Ball!"

Elora laughed quietly in response to both Turin's words and Erinhue's cheer, eyes sparkling with mirth.

Indeed you shall, husband, for I shall insist that such a wondrous thing be repeated so. Of course, if we're both floating then this may be a difficult thing to achieve. But then, I seem to recall that you're just as adept at dancing in water as you are over a fresh lawn.

The word husband repeated in her mind, and the sound of wife as he spoke to her filled her with a warmth hard to credit as existing at such a simple word. Memories of the ball, still sweet in their moonlit recollection, circled in her mind as they walked. It occured to her then that as they walked, everything that Turin had forseen long ago in Iarwain about this day had come to pass. She shook her head, astounded that she had considered even briefly not marrying this man.

The afternoon created dappled shadows that lengthened. Across the bridge, they took up their positions and warmly greeted those that followed them. Many faces were familiar and dear to her, and still more she had yet to meet. She could hear Syrinx's flute drift on the breeze as guests followed across the bridge. The chatter of old friends and new meetings flowed as each made their way across after them in search of food, wine, celebration and friends. There was an interesting gathering of peoples this day, and should make for a reception both unusual and very entertaining.

Turin paused before the bridge and turned to the people, shouting out......

"Everyone! Come across the way! There is much food, drink, music, dancing and converse to be had! Thank you so much!"

He turned and was followed by Eowyn Dernhelm in arm with Arathorn. There was no sign of Erenduil though, which was puzzling. Maybe he was already in the reception field. Hopefully Eoywn Dernhelm would find him.

They stood at the reception area where the kegs were tapped and the wine and champaign were poured in goblets. A couple were standing a ways away and were talking... It was Enchantress and Barad-dur.

Turin wanted to talk with them, but the line kept coming, and he was still floating away....

There was on the outskirts Hunter and another woman still sitting in the grass, and Raventinuviel alone, already in the reception area. They greeted crispycreme, tuile, Snowdog & Idril, Lady Legrace, and the twins Elladan and Elrohir. Erinhue and Aerin, Broken Arrow, Arish, Friend and Merry, Genuvere, and EntWifeLost in her 'shorter' appearance. ~Luthien~ who had arrived recent and bobbombadil. Darkmagus who performed the ceremony so well, and Harvestar so lovely! Vincent wanting another goblet of wine amd Lady rwhen and Syrinx who played so well the flute. She carried on with her playing at the reception while the band was still setting up. Arcados who had something planned still.

Turin smiled as they passed, but was thinking he was in need of a glass of wine, for his nerves were fried and he was relaxed now in the eternal love of his wife Elora.

Elora followed Turin's line of sight to Enchantress and Barad-dur. She had never met Enchantress before, yet knew her by reputation. Elora hoped to find some opportunity to speak with Enchantress that evening. Barad-dur was an interesting enigma for her though. She knew little of him, bar that they both served opposed masters. She would happily welcome him to the gathering, and it would not be the first time that strange things happened. After all, few would have forseen the Guardian marrying.

That thought prompted her to roll the word wife around in her head. She found herself smiling happily up at Turin. It was then that Eldarion's parting words became clear to her. In a lull between guests, she took the opportunity to mention it to Turin.

My love. Eldarion sorrowed at being unable to linger longer with us to become better acquainted with you. However, it seems he has seen and heard enough to convey to you his blessings. He knows a great deal of you already, although I can't really think how...oh.

She blushed faintly as she realised how, becoming well aware of how Eldarion did know of her beloved. After all, her every dreaming moment sang of him and the Flame was privy to most, if not all, of her thoughts. Those that tended it beyond the Void would be aware of those that tended within Arda, they would be able to read her like a book. She continued on, making a mental note to set in place some shielding so that they would have some privacy in their lives together.

I daresay that today's events will seem as unusual to him as such things did to me when I first learnt of such customs. No doubt he will relaying all he noted, suitably amused but very pleased with events.

Elora looked about the area. Evident in the graceful decorations was the work and vision of so many generous souls. The ice sculpture was sheened in the afternoon sun. She had not seen it until then. Indeed, Snowdog had excelled himself and she planned to tell him and his wife so as soon as she could. EntwifeLost's and Arish's touches were everywhere, a garland here, a verdant plant there. Colour and vibrancy everywhere. Friend's contributions also were clearly visible. The cake in particular drew her attention. Arcados' magecraft sparked comment and wonder.

She wrapped one arm about Turin's waist, happy to feel his warmth by her side as she stood in wonder. At that moment, she felt a warm, strong presence wend it's way about her skirts before moving onto Turin. Looking down she noted the Lepoard Prince, resplendant in his jewelled collar weaving his way around them in greeting. Some guests murmured nervously as he made his way to the table holding the ice sculpture. There, he positioned himself in a spot that commanded an excellent view of proceedings and good access to food.

As if she had spoken her wish, wine was brought to them as the last guests were greeted. Elora gratefully accepted a simple crystal glass, and raised it in quiet toast to her beloved.

To you, Turin Turumbar, my husband and lord. May our days be filled with the joy we hold now.

Everyone was now partaking in the foods and drink and there stood Elora in the westering sun, glowing in her extreme beauty. Turin felt her pull him close as they too the glasses of wine and toasted each other. Turin held his glass away and he kissed Elora long and deep, taking advantage of the monent of quiet and no interruptions. But it was shortlived as there went out some dance music, and turin took Elora's hand ahnd led her out for the first dance....

Harvestar greeted tuile warmly when she came to the field before the ceremony.

In the moments before the ceremony began, she glanced over to the edge of the crowd and spotted a strange man. His attire and his face brought to mind the darker powers, but his eyes searched the crowd and Harvestar thought she saw a look of pleading within them. From far back, her thoughts came upon a scrap of overheard conversation, but she pushed it aside as the ceremony started.

"Elora is so beautiful in her wedding dress", thought Harvestar.

The words spoken and the love that shone through Turin and Elora, brought tears to Harvestar's eyes. She was thankful she had brought so many tissues.

And Harvestar smiled at crispy when he slipped into a seat at the back.

As she watched Turin and Elora kiss, Harvestar felt something in her own heart cry out.

As the guests moved over to the reception area, she noticed that the strange dark man was not with the crowd.
On her way, she spoke briefly with Turin and Elora, "May your happiness together ever grow."

As the music began, she stood next to tuile, and said, "Wasn't erinhue's song beautiful! Elora could not help but laugh as she followed Turin towards the dance floor. She managed just to set her now empty glass on a table as they passed by, her hand in Turin's as they wove their way through guests and tables. Still laughing, they paused on the edge of the cleared area where other couples had gravitated to as well. With a wide smile, Elora curtsied deep to her her husband, flicking skirts wide before she rose. She murmurs "M'Lord" in a fond voice as he bows in return to her.

Without delay, she set her hand in Turin's and danced about him with light steps, daring him to take up the dance with a mischevious smile. The music she knew well, a lively reel that made for a suitable commencement to the festivities. She felt his hand tighten about hers as she came to stand once more before him, and smiled happily as she moved closer to him.

Shall we, my love?

Elora chuckled at Turin's words. She was grateful that she had not placed the Black Sword underneath her skirts, as the entrance onto the dance floor would certainly have proved a disaster otherwise. Turin moved with a lithe sure grace through the reel, and it was impossible for her to tear her eyes away from him as they moved through the growing numbers of people on the floor.

The setting sun shone amber across his hair and the silk of his shirt. It was as if he danced limned in fire, and his eyes held a familiar glint that quickened her pulse as much as the dance did. It was almost impossible to concentrate on the dance, her feet moving more from habit as she watched her husband. How on earth would she manage the wedding dance in such a state? It was a dim thought as she claimed a kiss and spun away again.

He was impossible to ignore, and she was drawn once more to Turin. This time, she did not spin away after her kiss. Rather she held her position close to her beloved, eyes locked on his.

Turning about, He lifted Elora and she cartwheeled, with violet and ivory splaying about. They again took each other in hand and twirled as the lively tune had them bouncing about. Postby Barad-dur » Sun Oct 28, 2001 6:11 am

The knight was more than a little surprised at the sudden appearance of the woman before him. Not due to the fact that she had used magic to do so, but moreso when he realized with a start that he had never seen her before in his entire, long life. He toyed briefly with the idea of merely walking past her, believing the woman to be mistaken, when she actually spoke to him and invited him to remain and help himself to some cake, of all things.

He felt a sudden and nearly irrepressible urge to burst out in laughter at the incongruity of the request, but caught himself at the last moment. He did not laugh because he did not want the woman to mistake his mirth for rudeness, but also because he found himself inexplicably wanting very much to take her up on her offer and indulge in one of life's simpler pleasures. He took the hand that she had extended and gently kissed the back of it, and was about to make a reply and introduce himself when yet another woman walked up to the two of them. This one he recognized, though it took him a moment for his memory to place a name to the dark, yet beautiful face.

"Hail and well met, Lady Raven," he replied to her greeting while bowing low from the waist, an admirable feat considering the armour he wore. "Indeed we have met before. It has been some time, but I well recall the pleasure of having made your accquaintance at the Severed Head Pub in Minas Morgul, during my friend's send-off party."
The fact was not lost on him that she had noted his sadness, but looking into her eyes he saw some of his own pain mirrored there, although he could not guess at what ailed this striking woman.

He had been about to turn his attention to the woman whose hand he still held and name he did not know, when yet a third woman appeared out of thin air before him. Only moments ago he was feeling more alone than ever in his life, and now suddenly he was finding himself surrounded. Yet when he looked at the new arrival, the air froze in his lungs and he found it suddenly very difficult to draw his next breath. The cold and paralyzing sensation was immediately followed by an intense and nearly painful flash of heat that ripped through his heart and twisted his stomach into a knot. His knees felt weak and the world seemed to lose its focus, defining all the more sharply the woman that stood before him now. After all this time, she still managed to utterly and completely disarm all of his senses with her overwhelming and stunning beauty.

Speechless and motionless, he stared on as she walked up and wiped the tear from his cheek with a trembling hand. That touch... never forgotten and whose memory haunted his every waking moment with remembered passion, was nearly his final undoing. His contained breath exploded out of him in a rush, and spots swam before his eyes. Then he heard her melodious voice speaking to him, the words sounding tiny and distant even though her face stood mere inches from his own, a weak smile hesitantly forming upon her soft lips. He searched the soulful blue depths of her eyes, but encountered none of the recrimination and resentment that he feared he would find. He had long rehearsed what he would say to her when he saw her again, but the words drifted from his mind like lonely leaves down a rushing stream.

Vaguely, he heard the woman who had arrived first excuse herself before disappearing, and some detached part of his consciousness made a mental note to seek her out later and apologize for his rudeness in not introducing himself. He also felt Raven quietly withdraw to give them some much needed privacy. When he found his voice at last, it sounded hoarse and oddly disjointed to his ears, as if he had not used it for a very long time.

"Yes, I have come. I could not stay away. Eru himself would allow the Dark Lord to rise again and rule all of Arda before my love for you would diminish by even the smallest fraction. You look as splendid and as breathtaking as the day my undeserving eyes first caught sight of your radiant form," he managed to stammer feebly.

When she made no immediate reply, he took the overwhelming emotions that were plainly visible upon her face to be the cause of her silence. Without further thought and unable to restrain himself any further, he threw his arms about her and drew her in with a tight embrace. It was with great difficulty that he reminded himself of where he was, and when Turin's distant words inviting all guests to enjoy the food and drink drifted over the field, he pulled slightly away from her and held her face softly in his hands, allowing his lips to brush lightly upon hers.

"Take my hand, my love... and I swear to you I shall never let go of it again," he whispered to her. "Come with me now, and let us meet the happy couple and gracious hosts of this wonderful event."

And with that, Enchantress and Barad-dur walked slowly back, the fingers of their hands entwined gently but firmly with one another's.

QueenBeruthielsCats quietly approached the diminutive barefoot maiden with the Elvish air and the unsettling leaf-green eyes. Laying her right hand on her arm, with the two Master Rings gleaming, "If I might have a hasty word..." she whispered with a slight smile, "I have brought you a little something," and passing to from the depths of a rose-colored sleeve a small silver, ribbon-bound flask embossed with many symbols and runes, tighty capped but still emitting a potent fragrance. "It a Flowers of The Hours Extract," she said, "which I captured last night when an extra hour was passing away to be wrapped into the Next Year, and was able to strike a bargain with Vairë the Weaver, who has noted your own weavings, not to mention Vanalaitaurë, with interest... so here it is, since I think you may find, if the Deadline approaches on a certain Spell, by Quaffing this fragrant Tea, you may extend the life of the Glamour by one more hour." Seeing the happy look on Prisithorn's face, she turned her gaze out over the crowd, and added, "I thought about tipping some into the Punchbowl, but..." and then turning to go with a wink, she said, "I have always thought you were lovely just as an Entwife, Prisithorn, but the Goddess herself wears many aspects, so why should we not as well? You look marvelous! (and any Cat will tell you, shoes are highly overrated)." <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>
QueenBeruthiels<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif"border=0>Cats.

Amidst all of the eating, dancing, and talking, Friend felt the need to move the cake to a more prominent spot. She stared at the cake, concentrated all her will on it, and waved her hand in a strange motion. The cake began to lift off of the table, and slowly hovered across the field. as it floated above the main table, Friend let it hover for a minute so that everyone could get a good look at it. It was a huge cake, five layers tall, and was nearly the size of Friend herself. It had white frosting, and leafy green vines made out of frosting wound their way around the whole of the cake, and at the top all of the vines seemed to converge to form a platform, atop which rested two figures, one of Elora, and one of Turin. Friend let the cake settle on the table, and turned to address Turin and Elora. "I hope everyone likes the cake! I made it from scratch! And don't worry, Elora and Turin, the frosting may be vanillia, but inside, it is completely chocolate! I even put chocolate chunks in the batter, a little recipie of mine!<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>" she said. "Now, for my gift to you. I had better present it now, because it can be used for the honeymoon! MERRY!!!" she called. Merry, the little blue dragon about the size of a cat, came flying in with a GIGANTIC basket of Hershey's kisses! (if you don't know what those are, they are chocolates shaped like bells.) He dropped it on the gift table. "Enjoy," said Merry, and he flew off to the trees to take a nap.

After that, Friend noticed the dark knight she had tried to persuade to come back to the party and Enchantress coming back to the field! Friend ran quickly over to finish her introduction. "Hail dark knight and Enchantress!" she called. Barad-dur and enchantress turned quickly her way. "I am sorry not introduce myself earlier, but it is good to see that you and Enchantress are coming back, dark knight. My name is Friend. Praytell, what is your name?"

QueenBeruthielsCats now approached the Receiving Line, where it seemed a meteor had landed, and a small star now hung in place, but in fact, upon growing closer, it was simply Elora, radiant, evidently hovering several inches off the ground, orbiting in the vicinity of The Black Sword, greeting the growing mass of wedding guests, and making introductions, and pausing repeatedly for kisses, as though for punctuation...

As she made her way through the crowd of Revelers, QueenBeruthielsCats passed EowynDernhelm, who appeared a young Queen herself today, resembling nothing so much as the palest faceted Pink Tourmaline gemstone. Yet although Eowyn was flushed with the excitement of being Maid of Honor, and the obvious devotion of Elora's best friend, and she was quite oblivious to the fact that many valiant sword-thanes and high Elf-lords observed her, she was yet a promise, a rose bud, compared to the rose in bloom she might have been had her knight Erenduil been present, and the stress and mystery of his absence was plainly written on her face. She stood with quiet dignity in the wedding party, yet her eyes never ceased in their search through the merrymakers. As she passed Eowyn, Queen BeruthielsCats touched Eowyn's tense arm briefly and whispered, "Your time is coming." The Ring of Yearning on Eowyn's hand gleamed out suddenly, and was met by an answering gleam from Cats' Master Ring of Serenity.

Now it became evident that QueenBeruthielsCats was leaning upon a Staff, which was unusual for her. Folk wondered if she must be overly weary from her labors over her Cauldrons the night before, for although she was older than some of her Guildfellows, with the first streaks of silver in her long dark braid (and had had a birthday that week in fact), she was not THAT old!)... and then again, she was one of the Istari, and "The staff in the hand of a wizard may be more than a prop for age," (II, 147 <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0> ). However, as she came to stand before the Couple of the Day, it became evident that the Staff was in fact a fine Corn Broom, which she had treated generously with Herbs and Roots for good measure, and this she now held out to Elora. "I thought you might need this, Elora, er, Mrs. Turambar <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0>, to set up Housekeeping, or perhaps to Jump Over... I do not know if you have done that in your Ceremony, since I could not attend -- but if you two would take your first Leap Together, I should be honored to provide the Broom." And with that, she held it out, smiling hopefully. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0> <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

...And now, I should like some of that Cake!...<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

QueenBeruthiels<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif"border=0>Cats.

Arwen rushed to the ceremony just in time to see the fair couple depart, hand in hand. Her dear Crispy sat alone in the back of the crowd, an empty chair beside him. How she had longed to sit beside him during the ceremony. Sadly she wiped a tear from her cheek and waited for the guests to begin departing. As her dearest Love came near, his downcast eyes rose to meet hers and they suddenly glimmered with joy. A smile radiated from his noble face that filled Arwen with warmth and golden light. Here was her true love at last! He slid his arms around her slim waist, pulling her up against his body.

"I'm so sorry I was late, my Love," she whispered. "I so wanted to share this beautiful day with you. I hope that Turin and Elora will forgive me. I rushed as fast as I could to get here."

Crispy's gentle hand caressed Arwen's long golden hair. His warm voice glowed warm against her neck. "My love, all that matters is that you are here with me now." His hands gently cradled her face and he softly kissed her cheeks and lips. Then clasping her hand he eagerly led Arwen towards the reception.

Stunned, QueenBeruthielsCats looked at Friend, unbelieving, her face flaming with embarrassment<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif"border=0> . She had spoken of the cake as an afterthought, since it had materialized there, intending only to draw courteous attention to the wedding cake and to all of her Guildfellow's hard work -- but instead, she had unwittingly made a fool of herself with an apparently churlish comment. For she of all people would never DREAM of touching a WEDDING CAKE before...<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif"border=0>
But now she was humiliated in front of everyone... After all she had hoped...
Unlucky at weddings.
"I hope you all enjoy Vanalataurë and the Gardens of Iarwain Ben-adar. Please make yourselves at home." She emptied the pouch of party favors out onto a nearby table where they lay shining in the candle light. Searching for Kanyar but not finding him, she bit back a tear, turned and walked toward her cottage with as much dignity as she could summon.
QueenBeruthielsCats.

"Queen B! Queen B!" shouted Friend at the retreatin back of Queen B. she followed her back to her cottage, and stopped her outside the door. "Queen B, I never meant my comment to be taken that way! I am so sorry! We all make mistakes. I for one have said many things that were taken the wrong way, and I always get over it. It's okay! What I meant by what I said is that Elora and Turin should probably eat some cake sometime soon. I meant no embarrassment to you! Queen B, please, forgive me and come back to the reception. Elora would want you to be there, I’m sure.” Friend looked at Queen B with sorrow in her eyes; sorry that she had caused anyone pain or embarrassment. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-crying.gif"border=0>

Twisting the ribbon on the tied flask, among her fingettips...The Lady Ent wanted to much to keep her gifted appearance...She was growing accustomed to the new body size and she also enjoyed her more approachable guise! She liked the wind upon her barky skin..and perhaps partaking of the punch much to early....she was ready to make her guise last longer....She gulped in down about halfway and returned the flask to her thigh...hiding it from eyes who might ask what she was drinking......

Here eyes became wider and as she looked around for a familiar face, she noticed that the Queen was trodding back to her Iarwain cottage and Gardens. She ran barefooted thru the grassy reception area and yelled to the Queen in a Forest Holler, but her Usual voice was gone and her little squeaky Ent HOOMSIE wasnt heard by any human walking the garden paths

......The Queens Prince, Kanyar, heard the little Elven Ents screeching and pounced upon her feet....

GASP!!!Aiy - Ive caught you now Leopard Prince!! HAHHA...She picked up the silken and jeweled Feline and cradled him in her smooth arms. "Come now, your Princess awaits your purring!!!"

She almost floated back in a blink, to the cottage of the Silver Tongued Queen and she startled the Queen who was tidying up and arranging items....

Thank you CATS....how you know of my needs before i ask them...is always a mystery!! I love the Tea you have carefully and selectively brewed for me!! Thanks to you I was able to enjoy the Couple's first dance and the Guests were so noble and hearing the tonques of all languages of love was so nice to listen to! And all because of the Brewstress and her potions of Magic!!! Look who i found in the deepest of Tree Holes Up High!!!

She pulled her long brownish red hair back from her frontside and purring away inside her silken locks, was the Leopard Prince Himself...Barely opening his catty eyes to notice he was back home now...He enjoyed the silent and Earthly humming that came from the Entwifes Soul.....And Prisithorn had a way of soothing animals to the brink of Pure Cat Napping!!!

The Entwife told Cats of all the happenings within the last few hours of the reception and she even brought her a few slices of the Wedding Cake.............. Oh Dear Queen, now that we have found your Prince...let us go again and re enter the reception...For there are still lingering guests who may definitley take you up on the lodgings and the sweet smells you Brew up!!!!"

The music floated on air, weaving (maybe, hmmm?) a magical spell around those in attendance. The day was bright and sunny, and the air was fresh. The ceremony had been beautiful, and now some dance music was sorely needed--

Syrinx nods at the small orchestra she has assembled from parts of middle earth...The silver ring on her hand glows as a little bit of magic is unleashed, but no spell could possibly make Turin or Elora any happier this fine day.

(OOC: Attention! Anyone who didn't get a chance to post in the fast pace of yesterday I apologize. If you wish to 'retro-post in the timeline that is cool, or just join in the reception. I know it should have been spread out over a week for just the ceremony. Bad communication on my part. Again, I apologize.)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Turin and Elora Danced up a thirst, and they went to gain another glass of wine. It was then that he noticed and pointed out that Enchantress and the Dark Knight Barad-Dur were coming as well.

"Great Knight! Fair Lady! It is well that you both came! Though I was only in the shadows at the fine affair last spring, I had noted the flowering between you and had heard much of you both about the land as I wandered. It pleases my and the Lady Elora's hearts that you have come. Please have some refreshment and dance and enjoy!"

Turin smiled and shook Barad-Dur's hand and took Lady Enchantress hand and kissed it. Also noted was the lonely Master Baker of Buckland who sat quietly through the ceremony. The reason became apparent when a most beautiful woman walked over the bridge to the reception area, and was met with loving embrace from the man. Turin smiled as the bonds of love were thriving there by the bridge as Turin said to his wife,

"The happy couple of the Donut Guild (and real life!) are here now together! We will have to greet them proper when they come to gain some wine or ale or punch."

Turin and Elora looked at each other nad again clinked their glasses and had sips, and again Turin kissed her afterward.

Naveen had nudged Hunter a few times while she tried to concentrate on the ceremony and the exchange of rings, but she ignored her, whispering once as the Bard Erinhue began his song.

“Naveen, please…” in an exasperated tone.

As the bride and groom were presented to those in attendance and together walked toward the bride, Turin paused and turned, announcing,

“Everyone! Come across the way! There is much food, drink, music, dancing and converse to be had! Thank you so much!”

Then the blissful couple proceeded across the bridge to the reception area, followed by those of the bridal party. Soon many of the guests began to leave their seats, and Hunter saw that there were many that had attended that she knew and had not noticed before.

Leaning over to Naveen, she said, “I see Genuvere, whom I have not seen in quite some time, and of course Snowdog and the lovely Idril are here. I don’t believe you have met them, but perhaps you will.” She paused, “And Arathorn, I think you mentioned that you had already met him?”

“Yes, a few times, the last being when I wished to indulge in some sword play, but he was injured and the day ended before my chance came.” Naveen answered with a wry shrug.

Naveen, sipping from the bottle, had been watched the milling crowd as one by one they stood and began to wander over to the reception area. “And the lovely Legrace is here,” a smile crept across her face, “And with her of course are Elrohir and Elladan…” her words faded as her eyes lit with roguish mirth. She had seen Elladan’s rakish grin earlier, nearly choking on the wine when she did.

Standing, Naveen brushed off her leathers, then extended a hand to Hunter, helping her to rise. Waiting while Hunter smoothed her skirts, Naveen took another swallow of the wine, then held the bottle up in the fading light.

“If I am to enjoy anymore of this wine, I must eat something first,” and laughed as she pulled Hunter toward the bridge and the reception area, leaving the empty bottle on a table that they passed.
As the Lady of Mordor moved expertly through the throngs greeting and chatting, Elladan was lost in thought. Today's meeting with the Lord Sauron had not been either better or worse than any of the others; however, he had been a bit unnerved when the fould Maia had threatened to "toast their ears" if they didn't take good care of his wife. In all honestly, the Elf Lord imagined that the lady would have no problem taking care of herself, but such things were not said to fellows of the Dark Lord's stature.

There were many friends and acquaintances (as well as enemies) among the other guests. Now, his Elven eyes caught sight of Hunter and Naveen far ahead. Interesting, he thought with a grin.

Old friends and new came to greet them, and others were glimpsed talking, laughing, and embracing. Some unusual matches, as unusual as Elora taking a mortal to husband, he mused. There was Aerin and her mortal bard, Erinhue, and the fearsome Dark Knight with the delicate Enchantress. Catching sight of his brother, Elrohir, and the Lady Legrace sharing a smile, he decided that there were far stranger pairs in Middle-earth.

[ooc, Sorry, but Turin is, mortal, isn't he?<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif"border=0> And FYI, SNW phoned to say that she has arrived safely hom and that her computer isn't working properly, so she may not be posting for a few days. I'll try to take up the slack (as usual <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>).]

Elora smiled warmly at Enchantress and Barad-dur, dropping a curtsy in emphasis of Turin's words.

Well met. I hope you find enjoyment in this day, and I thank you both for sharing it with us.

Behind them, Elora saw the departure of QueenBeruthielsCats with dismay. Knowing it was improper, bordering on impolite, she excused herself to pursue her friend.

Forgive me, please, though you have no reason to. It seems there is one I hold dear that leaves before I have been able to speak with her. Beloved, I shall return soon. It cost QueenBerthuielsCats dear to attend and I would like to speak to her.

But upon my return, I bring a gift for you beloved.

She smiled mysteriously and placed a kiss on Turin's understanding cheek, before moving off after EntWifeLost. She knocked on the cottage door, a little short of breath after her speeded pursuit, and peeked around the door.

QueenBeruthielsCats? It's only me, Elora. I... I noticed that you had left and... Well to be perfectly frank with you I'd like to persuade you to come back... Please?

Elora rolled her eyes. Hasty as ever, and who knew what the guests were thinking about a bride who went almost running away, skirts clutched in her hands. She hands flew to her head. A relieved sigh came forth when she knew she hadn't lost the veil on her run. Wedding dresses were not made for such activities.

Thankyou for your gift, my friend. Most unforeseen and yet entirely befitting. And the favours, simply exquisite. Will you not return to see how they are bestowed?

Elora fell silent. Her two friends regarded her quietly, unreadable expressions in place. At that point, she decided she was probably doing more harm than good. She smiled, hoping they would not think her a complete idiot, and mended what she could.

I see that I have interrupted you both. I am sorry. Of course, you will come and go as you would and I am exceedingly grateful to have had what time I have with you both today. I'll leave you to it, or the guests will start to ask uncomfortable questions. If I don't get another chance, I'd like to thank you both now for all the generosity you have shown to Turin and I. You've made this day into what it is, and it will shine in memory ever for us.

With that said, she smiled and withdrew. Returning to the guests, she wandered about until she found Eowyn.

Time to put your gift to the test. We have master bards in our midst this night, but I fancy that harp of yours will stand up to the test.

With a wink and a smile, Elora wandered across to the musicians and began discussing what she would need. Turin was still wandering about the guests, but his eyes were searching the crowd. It was difficult for her to speak to the musicians, having to duck behind people when his eyes came in her direction, but soon she had it in place. She sat, checking the tuning of her harp as they organised their own accompaniment.

(ooc-I think I'll take you up on your offer, Turin. These time-zones are killing me! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0> LOL)

After the ceremony, the gathering crowd were treated to a spectacular fireworks display made be Arcados and Dark Magus. The many greens yellows and blues rained down on the on lookers like a rain shower of many lights. It was then, that Arcados' wagons were opened, and their contents revealed. The giant bowl-shaped vessel was filled with a burning water of Flame that kindled the hearts of all who beheld it. Nothing had ever been seen like it in Middle Earth. The many gems, mithril and silver atatched shone and lit up the sky with its radiance.

Before Arcados had talked and greeted everyone in his usual manner, he congratulated the bride and groom on their wedding.

"...may your wedding to one another last forever. Not just for the time on Middle-Earth, but for eternity. And for all you see; may they be strengthened by your love to one another, and may they smile upon you, as the Elven Kings do. And may all of Arda sing and rejoice at the proclaimation of your name for you shall lighten their hearts."

The fireworks had the guests entraced with their beauty in the night sky. All fell silent as they watched the display unfurl above them, the occassional gasp punctuating the clap of bursting showers of light. When it ended, they were left with a new appreciation of the art of Arcados and Dark Magus.

Elora had always loved such things, and found that when it had ended she had not finished tuning the harp. With a start, she completed what little remained and signaled her readiness to the musicians. A short piece was played to attract the attention of the guests to the slightly raised stage, and Elora stepped forth. She gave the bards a deep curtsy, spreading full skirts widely and opals in her hair tinkling lightly, before rising and turning to the gathered guests. She had waited long for this moment, and it showed in the smile that illuminated her face as she spoke.

Honoured guests, I ask that you indulge a happy bride on this day to bestow one of her wedding gifts to her beloved husband. Those who know me, will no doubt know that I am loathe to give long speeches.

She paused to grin at the laughter the rich irony in her voice brought forth before resuming.

This is particularly so if there is food or dancing awaiting and always so if there's wine to be had. So I will limit myself to these few words before I bestow my gift. I am honoured beyond belief at enjoying your company on this day, the happiest of my long years. I am humbled by the kindness so many have shown in contributing to this celebration.

So much of what you see here is brought to you by the grace people that I am flattered to be able to name as friends. Countless people have worked hard, and in particular I must thank EntWifeLost, Lady Eowyn Dernhelm, Lord Arathorn, Dark Magus, Arcados, Friend, Syrinx, Lady Aerin, Arish, and of course Snowdog (who insisted that he is not a lord, although his lady wife may have other words on the matter).

But there are so many more that have have brought this day to pass, and what you see around you is the collective effort of many peoples and cultures. All of it points to the richness of our lives and worlds.

Elora gazed across at Turin, her eyes shining with pride and love.

But most of all I must thank my beloved lord and husband from granting me this joy today. For him, I sing this song. The words are not mine, for I find it impossible to find words to fit what fills my heart. The music however, it started to course through me at the first sight of my beloved, and it is that which forms the gift I offer him this day.

Her harp was brought forth as she spoke her last words. The opening chords floated out amongst the guests as her fingers plucked at harp strings. Softly, the music built in volume until it filled the warm air and her voice lilted in a haunting melody around the crystalline notes.

My love, you are the song
That sings inside of me
The song is always the same
It starts with love and ends with your name

The more that I love you
There's more in you to love
And yet I just don't know how
I could love you more than I do right now
They say that love grows old
But our love turned to gold
You kissed my sorrows away
You touched my heart
What more can I say

Each day my life is new
For Eru blessed me with you
And when my life is through
Without a word you always knew
That all my life, my life was you

As she sang, the melody shaped a vision that took shape in front of their eyes and within their hearts - Turin's most of all. The harp fell silent.

Ever and always my beloved, all that I am and will become, Turin Turambar, vanamelda.

She left the stage and returned to her place beside Turin, her eyes shining with her joy.

The two women crossed the bridge, stepping into the reception area. The wide-open lawn, perfect for dancing, was ringed with tress whose lantern filled branches swayed gently in the lingering breeze. The breeze set the lanterns to dancing, filling the growing darkness with tiny pinpoints of lights that bobbed and swayed.

Leaving Naveen to head in the direction of the enticing tables spread with all sorts of tempting delights, Hunter made her way to where Turin and Elora stood greeting a few of their guests.

Fireworks filled the night sky, fabulous colors of gold and green, sparkling pinks and darker magentas rained down, twinkling out at intervals as they drifted slowly to the earth.

Elora had disappeared by the time Hunter made her way through the throngs of guests waiting to greet the happy couple, but she waited her turn, until Turin noticed her.

Extending her hand, she smiled, “Thank you again for the invitation. It is not often these days that I leave my Inn.” Then added, “I hope you do not mind that I asked my friend Naveen to join me. I did not wish to attend alone.”

Turin bowed slightly as he held her hand, “I am glad you have decided to attend, and you friend is welcome. I only wish that Elora were present to meet you.” And she saw his eyes once again scan the crowd in search of his bride.

“I bear no gift, for it was a last minute decision to attend. And any gift that I would have brought would have paled beside those whose abilities and means far outweigh mine. But I will offer my heartfelt wishes that you and your beloved might live a life filled with happiness and joy. Trust one another when apart; honor each other’s choices in life, no matter how they may differ from your own. Offer comfort, care and understanding when needed and never forget the love that you have shared on this day.”

With these words Hunter turned to leave, pausing on the edge of the assembled people to search out Naveen. Her attention was caught as the bride Elora made an announcement. She started to sing, and the beauty of her voice filled the air and as the last notes of the harp drifted and died, Hunter walked across the plush green lawn to where Naveen stood.
VTurin kissed his wife as she left to visit QueenBeruthiel, and in a short while he greeted Hunter and smiled saying,

It is good to see you here lady Hunter, and it warms my heart as much as the fine Prancing Pony Inn you have. There is a strange mix of folk here, and my wife seemed concerned with a good friend. She will return shortly. And it is good you brought your friend. I would like tomeet her, for my friend Arathorn says she handles a sword well?

Hunter smiled and nodded, and as she spoke her words Turin listened intently, and he wished it so with he and Elora.

"May your word be so! For there will be times we will be away for times long. But I believe our hearts are woven together. worry not you bring no gift, for the time I spent in the Prancing Pony is gift enough, and we will always stop there when we are by. But bring your friend and share this food and drink, and maybe have cake and a toast later? But if you cannot, I understand, but know your presence has brightened ever more this day."

Turin excused himself as he saw RavenTinuviel walking alone.
