Thanks Thark, it's about time someone ran this inn the way it should be, unlike certain Lossoth...anyway, if there's any way I can help you out, please tell me.

<i>Through an open window, a small, crested bird flits. She lands on an empty table and peers around. The Inn's common room seems to be mostly empty, which should mean good service! She gives a high-pitched whistle.</i><BR><BR>A plate of nachos, heavy on the cheese! And a saucer of lemonade, please; I'm parched. I have travelled from the deep glens of Fangorn Forest. I seek a place to rest, and pleasant company.

Mr. Goatleaf walks over to the bar to order a drink. He looks at Waxwing. "I say, are you related to Magpie Jen, or Thorondor?"

<i>Waxwing looks up at Jon Goatleaf and bobs her head in a quick bow.</i><BR><BR>Not closely related. I am much smaller in stature than Magpie Jen and I lack the strength of mighty Thorondor. I am more of a musician than an adventurer.<BR><BR>I say, since you are now the head chef... do you make croissants?

mmm, getting hungry...Tharkun, what's your specialty...and please, please don't say squirrels I couldn't possible stomach one more squirrel! And another thing...what happened to that delightful little shop Vhleid's Bizarre? I really miss it, I've got this sword here and thought some duct tape might fix it up but where can a soul buy duct tape if there's no Bizarre?

Can you spare a hamburger?"<BR><BR>"I'm sorry sir, but you're going to have to pay for a hamburger."<BR><BR>"Well let me see...I will gladly pay on Tuesday for a hamburger today."<BR><BR>"I'm sorry, the Pony doesn't operate like that. Go to another inn, if you want a hamburger. There's the Forsaken Inn down the Great East Road, the Green Dragon a few miles west, and the House of Bombadil in the Old Forest. If you want to walk a bit there's the Fiery Flagon in Lake Town, my cousin owns that one."<BR><BR>"Thank you sir, I'll just stay here..."<BR><BR>The little man walks out into the common room and Jon continues baking.

Tharkun, is the position of barkeeper open? My Inn has been overrun by squirrels and I am in need of employment.

Bar Keep? I dont see why not. As long as you keep your customers happy. I will be glad to oblige.<BR><BR>*Tharkun walks around to the back of the pony and comes back with a huge keg. See this keg? Its our special brand, only give it out if they are either willing to pay a ludicrous amount of money, or just come home from some deed of great importance.<BR>

Aha! They thought they could hold me back with casts and bedrest, but little do they know the power of stupidity! Okay, I'm sure nobody took notice of my absense, but a little accident happened, and I'm right as rain again. Now, where was I?...<BR><BR>This new messageboard, for starters...where did this come from? (I leave, and you guys change everything)...<BR><BR>Oh well...I vote for Tharkun's idea to transfer the old pony text over.<BR><BR>As for everything else, well, let's see what junk I can't stir up now that I'm back...

Oh, and it's good to have you back, Vlheid. I thought you vanished into the Realm of Lost Posters. Casts and bedrest - what did they do to yah?!" <BR>

Jon contines baking, and finally produces a plate of pastries for the small bird. After serving it, he walks back into the kitchen to work on the Dim Sun for the ranger. He takes a break to get some pipeweed, but decides better when he sees that there's only poor-quality Southlinch from Tookbank. After searching futilely for some Old Toby he goes back to work on the Dim Sun. Easterling food was never his forte, but in half an hour he finishes and brings it out to Strider. He greets his old friend Vlheid, them goes back to the kitchen.

Just lemonade for me, <i>pipes the Waxwing.</i> And Jon, are the croissants coming? <BR> <BR><i>She stretches her wings and looks around the common room, wondering why there are still so few guests. Then through the open window comes the raucous noise of Snowdog's nightclub down the street. She turns to Strider.</i> <BR> <BR>I think your friends have abandoned the Pony for the entertainment down the way.

"Jon, good fellow you should really give yourself more credit than that! This is the best Dim Sum I've had since I left the great eastern city! Tell me where you found such fresh Taro Root!" Strider busies himself with the feast Jon Goatleaf has put before him and offers a Spring Roll to Vlheid...

In strides a man cloaked in black and shrouded with an air of mystery. He walks to the middle of the room, throws back his hood and shouts, <b>"I challenge all those who are brave enough or foolhardy enough to come and stand against the forces of evil in <i>Toredors Arena Of Magic</i> in a few days time. If you've got the balls, excuse me ladies, to come and battle against those that want to suppress, harm or even destroy you utterly then be at the Arena by the day after tommorow. Those that don't have the courage to fight for the side of good then you will forever live in fear. For the time will come when you have no choice but to stand and fight against the forces that are rising aginst us. Think wisely upon your choice."</b> <BR>And with that he disappeared.
