Ok, she is a human. Here is what I already have.Name: Almiel Fírebanor (meaning: mortal sun)
Race: Men
Birthplace: Minas Tirith, Gondor
Gender: female
Height: 5’7’’
Age: 19
Eyes: deep green
Hair: shoulder-length, golden color,
Appearance: ivory skin, strong, slim,
Personality: high-spirited, determined, benevolent,

Clothing: dark green tunic, white blouse, black, padded boots, dark green cloak, black leggings,
Skills: staff-fighting, sword-fighting, singing, wood carving, writing stories and songs,
Companion(s): black gelding w/ white star called Faithful,
Weapons: twin silver long-swords, white oak staff capped in silver, several small daggers,

Family: Almiel’s parents live in a secluded spot in Gondor’s mountains. She has no siblings.

History: Almiel was born to Sora and Kiari Halsing, in Minas Tirith. She lived there with her parents until the age of sixteen, when she began to get restless and left for Rohan. When she turned eighteen, she got restless again, and went to Rivendell. There she changed her last name from Halsing, to Fírebanor, which meant ‘mortal sun’ in the Sindarin tongue. She then decided that if she wanted to see all of Middle-Earth before she died, wandering would be the only way to do it. So that is what she does, with an occasional visit to her parents in Gondor.

That's it. I just came up with her.
That's good and there is lots you can enhance with time. At first I was surprised she would have an ELvish name, but you did explain it a little in her history. But why did she do that? Is there a problem between her parents and her? After all she is forsaking her family's name. And why does she feel she needs to wander?

Silwen, do you have any advice for improving my character? I posted him on bottom of the fourth page. I posted it a while ago and am still hoping for some type of constructive criticism. Thanks! <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

Hello Lady Elessar! <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

Honestly, I don't know what you could possibly improve in your bio. I read it when you posted it in my OOC-thread. It is the best one I have read and I love the character you've created. So sorry, I can't give any negative criticism. <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0> And I hope we do meet in my RP someday, when I finally get to Gondor. Alas, I am only on my way to Lorien right now. Alone. Don't know where the others are. <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif"border=0>

In her family no one keeps their last name. It's kinda like a tradition. Her parents are seclusive. They like to be alone, and Almiel just gets 'itchy' to travel. She needs to wander because she is curious to see the world before she dies. She thinks that she will die an early death, and wants to see everything there is in Middle-Earth.

Well, I'm trying to play her in 'A New Beginning', but just the occasional post. I usually play baddies, it's hard being born a Gondorian <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0> You have to stop thinking steal, assassinate, and Minas Morgul.

Hi guy, I wonder if you could take a look at what I wrote about Larindyl and offer some comments. I haven't been able to place her in an RP yet, and I fear she is too tied down to her location. I'll have to start her wandering! Anyway:-

The Story of Larindyl

Larindyl grew up in the house of her uncle, Tulcalio Coallo and her cousin Herulion, but her history is far more romantic. Her father Andrahil defied the traditions of his house and became a mariner, the renowned mariner of Dol Amroth, siling far and wide the oceans of Middle-Earth. One particular evening, when the waves were rough and the sky covered in dark cloud, Andrahil came ashore with none but a trusty manservant, and in his arms he carried a small bundle, which he laid at the doorstep of his brother’s house. In the bungle was a basket, and inside was laid a baby, with a note pinned to her chest: ‘This is my daughter, and she is named Larindyl. Look after her well until I return. That should be some time, as I am bound to explore the uttermost west. Your loving brother, Andrahil Coallo.’ And so Larindyl grew up in the house of her uncle. She had a happy childhood, but her heart was restless for the west, ever waiting for her father to return. No secret was ever made of her parentage, and Dol Amroth lore ever held that her mother had been an elven princess of high rank from beyond the sea, which would account for her name ‘Larindyl’ believed to mean ‘Golden-haired’ in the elvish. But Larindyl herself was down to earth and fun loving, betraying the wistful longings of her heart to few. In time she grew up and fell in love with Tavarila of the house of Sáya and yet they could not marry. For the tradition of Dol Amroth holds that a maiden must be given away by her father, unless he is dead, when the duty is passed to another senior relative. But Larindyl maintains that her father is yet alive and so waits for his return. It is 18 years since Andrahil left on his last voyage, and the legend of the missing mariner has passed into Dol Amroth folklore.

....?

Lady G, I just have a knack for it. Honestly, I just dreamed up Luin. I never meant to make him a character, until I found out that Rien has relapses, and Luin not being dead would cause one. Poor Rien...I make her go through so much. But, the only thing I have trouble with with my characters is, I am really bad at histories! I mean, I must have edited Rien's about fifty times, and I don't really want to repeat that with Almiel.

Hullo, I'm totally new at TORC RP, but it looks interesting (just finished reading the rules thread that's my sum total of experience).
My persona is a female Uruk from Sauruman's pits in Isenguard, who as a child, disguised herself as a smaller Orc male in order to become a warg rider. I imagine her as a thin, wiry goblin who would rather hunt the forests and mountian slopes freely with the monster wolves she loves, but is constrained by race and duty to fight and kill. While she has managed to keep her true gender a secret she is, like the other small orcs, brutally treated by the other Uruks. If, after the fall of Isenguard and Mordor she suddenly found herself and a couple of Wargs unsupervised, she would not hesitate to take them and run away. However convincing anyone that she wasn't just another murdering orc might be difficult....
Any suggestions? Help? Critiques? Any ideas of an RP I might fit into?

Sorry I haven't been around here in so long - I just got back from a week long vacation and before that was quite busy! I tried to post before I left but my timing was bad - TORC was acting up and I couldn't get it through.

I like your character history, Larindyl. We do know that there were some in Dol Amroth who had Elvish blood. Having her mother be an Elven princess from the West is a bit of a stretch, though, since all of Tolkien's writing indicates that no Elves went back and forth from Valinor between the time of Feanor's crossing (and Fingolfin and Co. crossing the ice) and those who sailed at the end of LotR, but that is ultimately your call - Earendil was a special exception and it may be improbable though not impossible that their could have been others.

Having the absent father and believing he will come home gives the character some good motivations, though. A character doesn't just need a history, but reasons to participate in stories, or go wandering into Middle Earth. This character has some good possibilities including something like going looking for her father.

Ulugz - I like the idea of a female orc! I'm not sure how well she may fit into RPs here but perhaps you can post in some OOC threads that are looking for 'bad guys'. I once had a female orc character whose name is somehow escaping me, but she had a pretty gruesome past! She was a 'snaga' type (smaller sneaky orc) who had been basically a breeding slave in the pits of Dol Guldur. Tolkien doesn't say anything about female orcs as far as I can tell so I went on the assumption that they were mostly kept for this purpose. Because she didn't care for this life, she did a little self surgery (I told you it was gruesome!) that left her incapable of bearing baby orcs and snuck off into the wilds pretty much fending for herself, though sometimes hooking up with parties of raiding orcs. She pretty much had no morals, but I could see, particularly after Sauron's downfall, some orcs who reform their ways or at least want to. Why not, after all? They were corrupted from Elves or humans at some point (one of those things Tolkien couldn't quite make up his mind about).

Some nice character work in here! <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

THIRD CHARACTER

(This History was written during the 1st year of King Elessar’s reign)

Name: She does not rightly know, but the family she lives with calls her Rhíana al Maësara
Prefers to be called: Rían (It is what her mother always called her)
Race: Man (Gondorian)
Gender: Female
Age: 17
Height: 5’9”
Weight: 110lbs

Physical Appearance: Her face is a perfect oval, with high, classical cheekbones, a straight and slender nose, and a delicately curved mouth that dimples when she smiles. Her slightly full lips hold a suggestion of sweetness and vulnerability when she is not on her guard. If her smooth forehead is a little too broad, it is by no means unattractive, and it is balanced by he widow’s-peak hairline that cuts into her clear skin dramatically, and by the exquisitely shaped brows that are sweeping golden brown arcs above her wide set eyes. Her eyes are a deep, deep green, set below thick and curling golden-brown lashes that cast gentle dusky shadows on her skin. This is like pale cream silk, and as smooth, and without blemish, tinted with the palest of apricots. Her luxuriant russet-brown hair, falling thick and straight to her waist when open, is usually plaited and then tied up in such a way that it nestles at the nape of her neck, and seems like a rich velvet cap threaded through with golden strands. She is tall, slim and has an athletic grace that comes from hours of training, riding, and long treks throughout the lands.

Marital Status: Single. By choice.

Occupation: Scribe; Blademaster; Archer; Assassin and Thief (unknown by most people)

Outfit: Forest-green peasant blouse; black riding breeches; black leather boots; and a deep grey cloak and hood. These are the types of clothes she loves, and is most comfortable in, although she will wear dresses (which are like the ones Eówyn wears in TTT) or skirts, if the occasion calls for it.

Skills Include: Reading, writing and speaking various languages (well, she isn’t a scribe for nothing! <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>); forgery; horseback riding (she grew up in Rohan, so duh! <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-rolleyes.gif"border=0>); sword-play; throwing daggers; archery; a keen knowledge of herbs and plants and potions that have healing and/or restorative properties, as well as those that can be used to drug or kill.

Weapons and Other Items: A small chest in which she carries the herbs and plants and powders she uses for her ‘work’, as well as quills, parchments, and ink.
An elvish sword, one of the first things she ever stole. She is very attached to it.
Several daggers and knives; hidden.
A longbow made of ash wood, and a quiver of arrows.

Means of travel: A grey mare of Rohan, sister to the horse owned by her foster-cousin, Léanë, which she named Mithuial (Grey Twilight)

Personality: Strong, determined, forceful, and sometimes a little too questioning of authority. Energetic, ambitious, full of energy, full of ideas and the drive to go out and put them into action. Intellectual, yet emotional, Rían can be very changeable in mood. Intelligent, adaptable, inventive and versatile, and if you can take the pace, she is great fun to be with. She is charming and ingenious, and she knows it; and uses this to her full advantage – most people find it very hard to disagree with or oppose Rían. Independent and masterful; she knows she is a natural leader, which can make her seem proud, haughty and patronising. She is courageous, and loyal, but she expects the same in return. Rían is also a perfectionist; she sets high standards and lives up to them, but she expects others to do the same. She is methodical, clear-thinking and tidy-minded; she suffers fools badly. She is warm and friendly, generous and sincere, and enjoys being part of a group. Yet the outward show of an abrasive and forceful nature hides a keen and calculating mind, subtle and deadly in its dealings. Her success comes often because she has manipulated other people, or made good use of her connections. Because of what she does, Rían is very good at finding things out, whether in gossip about other people, or in investigative research – but no one knows anything about her; she makes sure to hide herself in an aura of mystery and enchantment that cannot be penetrated, but at the same time, makes her all the more alluring.

Bio: Rían was born to Míriel, the daughter of the Royal Scribe of Gondor, in the year 3004 of the Third Age, under a cloud. Míriel, then only 24, and already betrothed to a Guard of the Tower, had refused to say who the father of her baby was. Míriel’s father was furious and promptly disowned her, telling her to never set foot in Gondor to darken his door ever again.

Míriel moved to a remote village near Rohan, and there she remained, together with her daughter. Rían’s childhood was happy; her mother made sure she never lacked for anything. The absence of her father did not bother Rían for the most part. But too soon, her mother was taken away from her. When Rían was six, her mother was seriously injured when a runaway horse and cart had borne down upon her while she was in town. Míriel never recovered and died a week later.

At her mother’s burial, she met a strange old man, who told her that from then on, she would live in Edoras, as this was what her mother had wished and arranged for her. Rían was surprised, but did not question him, and accepted what he said with the trust of the child she was. She had not known that her mother had arranged for her to go and live in Edoras when she turned 10 years old, and to learn to be a scribe like her grandfather – her mother had meant to tell Rían herself a few years later, when the time actually came for her to leave. The old man remained with her at her old home for a week or so, putting all her mother’s affairs into order, before they finally headed towards the Golden Halls of King Théoden.

The old man told Rían not to mention him to anybody, and then left Rían at the doorstep of the Weaponmaster of Edoras, before disappearing into the night. The Weaponmaster, Léod, did not seem particularly surprised to see her. “So you are Rhíana al Maësara,” he greeted her. “I would have known you anywhere. You look like your mother, though you have not her ebony hair. Come inside, child.” He introduced her to his family, and told her that from then on she would be like on of his own daughters. But he never made any mention of the old man. His family accepted this new stranger amongst them quite easily, and Rían was made to feel most welcome.

And so a new kind of life began for Rían. She went to the courts of Edoras everyday for her lessons with the other children of her village. During the day, she learnt the arts of scribing, how to take care of the stable animals, and played with the children of Léod and the other children in the courts. For the most part, the children treated her kindly and she did not feel all together alone, although at times she missed her mother terribly. After a few weeks, Rían also began to learn weaponry with the boys, and her best friend and foster cousin, Léanë. Her foster-father had not wanted her or Léanë to take weaponry at first, saying that these skills were not for girls to learn. But Rían was stubborn, and also had a keen eye and a remarkable accuracy that was quite astounding for someone her age. Léanë, too, was no less stubborn, and already a remarkable rider at the tender age of seven. And so, after a few weeks of persuasion, her foster-father agreed to teach both the girls.

Rían sometimes wondered what had happened to the old man who had been so kind to her when her mother had died. Since the day he had left her with Léod’s family, Rían had not heard from him. Questioning the children, or the people brought no answers, for Rían was reluctant to say too much and betray the old man. All would look at her blankly, then shrug and turn away.

Then one day, about 6 months after she first arrived in Edoras, the old man re-appeared. He came through a secret entrance in her bedroom, in the middle of the night. He led her to a secret part of the Golden Hall, a part Rían was sure no one knew about. And here, he began to instruct her in the fine art of assassination. He told her his name: Charon, and that he had been asked to train her in his craft. Though at first he had not wanted to teach her, in the end he had been persuaded. He did not offer any more information – why he had been asked to teach her, or by whom - nothing.

No one, not even Léanë, knew of these nightly trysts, for Charon had warned her against it. Though the schedule was punishing and demanding on a growing child, and these lessons made her tired and quite unable to keep awake during the day for her normal lessons, Rían never thought of complaining to Charon or refusing one of his calls. As a matter of fact, if asked Rían would have said that her lessons with Charon were the ones she enjoyed the most, though what he taught her to be was far from enjoyable in the long term.

There was a tremendous scope to his lessons – which were almost like games – for Rían, at least, that is what it seemed like at first. Rían learnt about herbs – what was good for a cold, what could give relief from an ache or pain, and later, what could be used to drug, to kill – she also learnt much about observation in the process. How to befriend the common folk to gain their confidences. How to remember conversations – who spoke to whom, what was said, the unconscious and conscious gestures made. Her shyness and reticence were never accounted as a good enough excuse for failing to execute such an assignment, and so she found herself meeting and coming to know a good many of the folks in and around Edoras. Even though her questions were inspired by Charon, every one of them welcomed her interest and was more than willing to share expertise. Without intending it, Rían began to garner a reputation as a ‘sharp youngster’ and a ‘good help’. Other games built on her nerve as well as her powers of observation. Charon would send her to play certain ‘games’, all of which initially appealed to her natural love of mischief, and she seldom failed at them. When she did, the consequences themselves were her look-out. Charon had warned her that he would not shield her from anybody’s wrath, and suggested that she have a worthy tale ready to explain away being where she should not be, or possessing something that which she had no business possessing. She learnt to lie very well. And it was not taught to her accidentally.
These were the lessons in her assassin’s primer. And more. Sleight of the hand and the art of moving stealthily. Where to strike a man to render him unconscious. Where to strike a man so that he dies without crying out. Where to stab a man so that he dies without too much blood welling out. She learnt it all rapidly and well, thriving under Charon’s approval of her quick mind.

Soon Charon began to use Rían for small jobs about the keep. He never told her, ahead of time, if they were tests of her skill, or actual tasks he wished accomplished. To Rían it made no difference; she pursued them all with a single-minded devotion to Charon and anything he commanded. She never knew the underlying reasons for the tasks Charon set her. At that age, she set her mind to how she would do a thing, rather than why. By the time Rían was 12 years old, she was already highly accomplished in the basic necessities required of her future profession. It was then that Chade began sending her further and further away, outside Edoras, to towns and villages, and once in a while, to Rían’s great delight, to Gondor. She did not go alone, but always accompanied one of the many groups of people that travelled frequently between Rohan and Gondor.

Léod and his wife never questioned Rían’s disappearances from home; they – Léod at least – seemed to have an understanding of sorts with Charon, although it was clear they did not really approve. Not that they knew why Rían was going away. No one knew that. But her foster-cousins and her friends were curious about her mysterious journeys, and they bombarded her with questions. Rían gave nothing away. She remained close-mouthed and tight-lipped about where she had been and why, knowing that in the long run it would most probably cost her her friends, but she could betray Charon’s trust, and a part of her still shrank from what she had become.

Although it was not known to many, Gondor and Rohan, though at constant war with the Southorns and Easterlings, had, in secret, sent many a diplomatic envoys to them over the years, and a line of communication was always open between the two sides. Many of those lines had been opened, and remained open, because of Rían’s brand of ‘persuasion’, and by the ‘persuasions’ of others like her.

As Rían grew older, her ties with her foster-family began to unravel, and more specially, her once great friendship with Léanë disintegrated almost completely. When Rían was fifteen, Léanë’s family experienced the worst sort of difficulty. Within the space on 16 days, Léanë lost both her brothers and her little sister. Rían wanted to be there for Léanë, to help her get through and provide a shoulder to lean on. But she could not. Because of approaching war, Rían and others like her were doing more work than they had ever done before. And Rían was needed elsewhere. The day before she had to leave, she went to say goodbye to Léanë, but she could not tell Léanë where she was going or why, and Léanë, her face a stone mask, simply told Rían she wished her well, and walked away. At the same time, Léod told her that he would no longer have anything to do with what Rían had become. He had guessed, over the years, exactly what it was that Charon had been teaching her. She would have to choose between remaining an assassin, or staying with her adopted family and giving up this deadly game. She could not answer Léod. She begged him for a day to think about it, saying that the next morning she would have an answer.
That night, she met Charon for what was going to be the last time. She was unusually quiet as he was giving her the instructions for her assignment, and he noticed. He asked her what was wrong; mildly concerned that perhaps she was having second thoughts about her task. And suddenly the whole story tumbled out. “What am I to do, Charon?” she asked him when she had finished recounting her tale, her eyes pleading with him for an answer. “I cannot choose... I feel like I am being torn in two. I love my family, but I cannot change what I have become.” Charon sighed, knowing that this day would one day come. He told her gently, “Rían, I cannot choose for you. This is something you must decide on your own. I knew that Léod was not happy with things, but I had not expected him to speak now.” He paused, and then walking up to her, laid an old, gnarled hand on her shoulder. “Rían. I am afraid I shall not be teaching you anymore.” Rían looked up at him, startled. But before she could say anything, Charon continued, “I had meant to tell you this after you came back, but I see now that it cannot be delayed. I have taught you as much as I can about our craft. The rest is up to you. From this day, you must forget we ever met, forget that I exist. From now, for you, I am no longer a person, but a memory.”

Rían was stunned. She was being abandoned. By everyone. Even Charon, whom she had considered a friend, was leaving her. Anger, fear, hurt, the sense of betrayal... all these things welled up within her as she fought for control of her emotions. And suddenly, she made up her mind. She stood up, and looked at Charon steadily. “I thank you, Charon,” she said, her voice icy. “For being so honest me. I thank you also, for what you have taught me. I promise, I shall not let you down. I have been taught too well.” With that, she turned and left, never looking back. She spent the night walking around Dunharrow, watching the preparations of the Riders, as they made ready to travel to Gondor’s aid, and laying out her own plans. Before dawn the next morning, she went to her foster-family’s house, and quickly packed her belongings. She wrote a note, addressing in to her family, explaining that she had to go away. She gave no reasons, simply stating that the time had come for her to make her own life. She thanked them for all that they had done for her, and asked them not to seek her out. She saddled her horse, Mithuial, and as the sun’s first rays shot up in the horizon, she rode away, travelling East, to complete her final assignment, and forever leaving behind her former life.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

~Dream Weaver of Destinies and Memories

~Master Ring Holder at the <a target=new href="http://"http://www.tolkienonline.com/thewhitecouncil/messageview.cfm?start=0&catid=37&threadid=49731"">Rings of the Elements Guild

~True-Blue Bookworm! <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0> (Visit the Bookworms in their <a target=new href="http://"http://www.tolkienonline.com/thewhitecouncil/messageview.cfm?start=0&catid=24&threadid=63971"">Lounge, Garden and Gothic Hall)

~Daughter of the Stars, Twilight Sister of the <a target=new href="http://"http://www.tolkienonline.com/thewhitecouncil/messageview.cfm?start=0&catid=37&threadid=52394"">Twilight Guild

~Master Bard and Proud Member of the <a target=new href="http://"http:// http://www.tolkienonline.com/thewhiteco ... adid=61713"">Bard’s Guild

~Silk Ribbon Embroiderer of the <a target=new href="http://"http://www.tolkienonline.com/thewhitecouncil/messageview.cfm?start=0&catid=37&threadid=36615"">Weaver’s Guild

~Gryffindor Student at <a target=new href="http://"http://www.tolkienonline.com/thewhitecouncil/messageview.cfm?start=0&catid=37&threadid=62422"">Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry

Awww, you have good characters Lady G. I like Rían. Rian was also the name of Turin Turambar's mother I think. It's a lot like Rien too <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0>

Your character is great. Unlike mine....which I keep editing...over and over again...

I really like her occupation: Assassin and Thief, good choices <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>

Edited for strange, large spaces that appeared in post, most likely sent to me by those cursed lightsiders...

Hey! i'm fairly new to TORC RPing also. so far this is my character:

Name: Lindaranel
Gender: female
Age: unknown
Race: Elf
Height: 5'10" (short for an elf but taller than me <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>)
Skills: medicine, gardening, and archery
Appearance: fair complexion with soft golded hair reaching to her waist. She is very lovely and many men have fallen for her outstanding beauty. Her eyes are a pale blue that glisten in the moonlight. Don't let her appearence fool you, as it had fooled many unfortunate enemies, she's sharp with the bow and arrow, not bad with a sword and daggar, she it tough and determined, and can survive in almost any weather.
Likes/dislikes: Lindaranel loved peacefulness, but she never hesitates to go on an adventure for the good of ME. Lindaranel doesn't like groveling as it lowers dignity.
Weakness: her only fear that she shows is the death of a loved one, which sometimes can keep her away from adventures, and if a loved one does die, she goes into a state of total despair for a while.
History: Lindaranel grew up in the forest of Mirkwood where she spent many happy days until her mother died. Her father didn't really care about Lindaranel. Blinded by her tears, Lindaranel ran away and lived in the middle of a beautiful forest for 10 years. There she learned all the skills that she has today. Often she would go down to the stream and talk to the birds that were there. for they were her only comfort. One day, she left her forest in search of an adventure to heal her spirit that was still broken from her mother's death and father's ignorance. She traveled to the outskirts of Mirkwood where she took up a job as waitress at an inn. Until, a small party with two red-haired elves and more (and surprisingly an uruk)...
You can read more about her adventure in the Forgive Me
i figured that she should have a weakness because nobody's perfect. it brings her more down to Middle-earth (sry, i just had to do that, lol).

this is my first character that i've done, so please don't hesitate to critique it (especially with the history part). Any suggestions are very welcome.

Carnimiriel,

Thanks! I do agree about the elven princess thing though, and so I've kind of fiddled it. The people of Dol Amroth believe that this is her mother. Larindyl doesn't know. I don't know if she'll ever find out. In reality, her mother could be a human from somewhere, and elf from the havens, an elf from another elvish settlement in the east, or anything. But it's nice to have her belive, since the people of Dol Amroth wouldn't know about the Valar's restrictions.

LadyG - thanks also. I like your character, and I have immediately made up my mind to develop mine as well as you have developed yours. Expect an update soon!

Thanks larindyl and Rien for your lovely compliments... it gives me hope! <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0> Rien, don't worry abour editing your character soo much.. I STILL Edit Elena and the rest of them from time to time... It's nature... you always want to improve your character.. tweak a little here, tease a little there.. also, the RP's you get involved in also changes your character... look at RIen and Morion for instance! <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0>

Lindaranel: I like your character... I can't wait to read more about her!

Anyway, I'm hoping to introduce Rian in a RP soon.. any suggestions for a RP???

LadyG

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
“I can resist everything except temptation.” <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>

~Dream Weaver of Destinies and Memories

~Master Ring Holder at the Rings of the Elements Guild

~True-Blue Bookworm! <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0> (Visit the Bookworms in their Lounge, Garden and Gothic Hall)

~Daughter of the Stars, Twilight Sister of the Twilight Guild

~Master Bard and Proud Member of the Bard’s Guild

~Silk Ribbon Embroiderer of the Weaver’s Guild

~Gryffindor Student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry
