Fishy dahrling <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0> you don't need to be PM to add it to your 'favorites' here on TORC. I'm sure with whatever web-browser you're using you have an option to bookmark your favorites <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0>
I have a folder in my browser web-favorites marked TORC - and in there I log my bookmarks.
Just a tip. <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

and Braga: actually, it was the Rohirrim part of me that started all this <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0> Have fun with those links <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

I'm glad I happened to check out some of the links in this thread. I was able to use some of the materials for the Gathering of the Keepers: horse color and gaits and martial arts. I like the Encyclopedia of Arda. I find it one of the best sources.

I agree, Shieldmaiden_pippin. I just recently started with formal RP, and I keep coming back to this thread for help. Alandriel is a good RPer, and so are the others here.

Updated. Thanks Fishy. I've added it although I personally think it's rather 'random' - but some folks might find it interesting... it certainly is quite amusing <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif"border=0>

Also added a new link to an Anglo-Saxon online dictionary (under Langage). The Rohirrim will be pleased I trust <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0> It's still in the works and so far they cover just letter *A* I believe but let's hope it will grow and grow
<img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>
Alandriel, I found this site with a made English-Black Speech dictionary a couple of weeks ago. I've got one that's not so much helpful to RPers but just anyone looking for a rather lovely, AFFORDABLE sword. And no, they're not cruddy rip-offs. <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif"border=0> Cheers to my brother (Taurnil) for finding it for me! Just click on 'LOTR swords' on the menu on the left hand side. <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

And thank you to anyone who posted links to maps! I'm hopeless when it comes to ME geography <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-rolleyes.gif"border=0>

This is wondeful, Alandriel. <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

One of the pages I tried seems to not be working, though. <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif"border=0> It's the first one under 'Medicine', the page was probably taken out (or geocities is just acting up, as usual <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-rolleyes.gif"border=0>).

I'll leave it to your judgement if you consider this add-worthy. It has a list of herbs as known in the 19th century, with dosage, effects, dangers and descriptions. It's not medieval, but it can come in handy at times, at least to me. <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

http://www.botanical.com/botanical/mgmh/comindx.html

Thanks Anya <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0> for reporting the non-functioning link and your more than worthy addition.

For the time being I'll keep that link still listed. Geocities is indeed very temperamental as I oh so well know <img src="http://www.tolkienonline.com/mb/i/expressions/face-icon-small-rolleyes.gif"border=0>; with a bit of luck, the site-owner will correct whatever problem there is there, for it had some good info in it.

Just wanted to give you a heads up that the webmaster of the LOTR maps site changed his site around. It has a much nicer layout now (in my opinion) and I just thought I'd let you know! As it is, in my opinion, probably one of the best links in all the RP resources.

Anyway, here's the site now: Maps of Middle Earth

Just a bump and a wish this thread could be made a sticky. :D

Maybe I should ask the fairy admin with the magic wand to grant a wish for me, what do you think?

IE, oh helpful and ubiquitous one, are you listening? :D

And while I am at it (bumping with reason!), here is a cool site for astronomy info. Not sure if this is on page one already. Anyway, the Astronomy picture of the day is always awesome and might come in handy sometime for RP purposes.

Thank you to everyone who contributes their findings here and especially to the ever-charming flaming-haired one!!

(((hugs))) to Alandriel :D

Thank you, lovely Lady Fala. I've added it - for those stargazers out there

Sticky? I don't know lol.. I did ask sometime back but I think there are more important priorities at hand. Add it to your favorites in your browser  that way you can always find it again (or click on the link in my sig) :D

HELP! I have a broken link it seems for How to create a good character thread and more ?? wrong thread – does anybody have the correct link??

I guess I should share this gem. ;)

The Weald and Downland Museum.

It gives a rather delightful insight into the appearance of a variety of mediaeval and later agricultural and domestic buildings. Even if you're European and used to seeing this kind of thing it's still a valuable reference.
