RPresources A-Z

Pull out your pack and head on down to the Prancing Pony for some great Role Playing (try to stay in character)!

I've just seen this thread by coincidence - if you don't know it exists, you can't look for it.

It's a great idea and very helpful - I've only made a handful of RP posts so far, but even for these I had trouble finding names for parts of architecture or ideas for costumes - wish I'd known of this thread then.

So, I think it should definitely be made a sticky!

Why don't you just e-mail one of the mods who works with the RP forums, they would understand how helpful this is.

Maybe your previous mail just got overlooked - you should have had a response of some sort in any case.

Doesn't cost anything to make a thread a sticky, so why not? :)

Excellent list you have here, Alandriel :) You really do have too much time on your hands

Though i can see you already have one or two links to English-Quenya dictionaries, the Quenya Corpus Wordlist is a wonderful resource. :)

Oh, and if you find a dictionary for English-Haradrim, do make a note of putting up a link....

Thank you PG :D Great addition! As to English-Haradrim: sadly, there is no such thing since JRRT did not make a Haradric language. However, there is some MERP stuff and if you keep sticking your nose into Seekers, you'll see a bit more  And who knows, maybe Dindraug one day will be so bored that he......... :D

And LadyG - you're very welcome. Glad you find it useful :)

Alandriel, this is a great thread. Thanks for putting it together.

I've noticed that under Maps only the last link still leads to a real page. :(
Here's a still-live link for a very good map (IMO): http://www.jrrtolkien.org.uk/Images%204/middleearth2_c.jpg.

Thanks Frelga :)
It seems there's been quite some 'issues' going on about ME maps on the web - many sites have been shut down. Your best bet is to google, but if you're really serious about your ME maps there is no better way than getting the Atlas of Tolkien's Middle Earth (Karen Wynn Fonstad). It's really worth the investment.
