Hi. Before reading the story, the background information might help clear up a few things.

Main Themes: A mix of wartime and supernatural horror.

Time Period: The story occurs near the end of the Fourth Age, several centuries after Aragorn's death. Memories of the Third Age are not crystal clear and time has changed many things.

Setting: The story is mostly set in the wilderness of Southern Eriador, close to the borders of Rohan and Gondor.

Background: It is said that Eomer of Rohan and Aragorn of Gondor waged constant wars outside their realms for the security of the people. Unfortunately this has set a bad precedent for their descendants. Conquering distant lands brought much prosperity to the people of Gondor and Rohan and an aristocracy soon formed. Eventually, a point was reached where the well-to-do were reluctant to risk their lives of splendor and ease, but still wanted more riches. When a shortage of soldiers occurred, certain laws were passed on Eriador and Dunland demanding high quotas of crops and other materials. If the quotas could not be met, the family would have to send a relative to be drafted into the military.

Years passed, countless battles were won and lost, and fewer and fewer young men returned home. In Gondor and Rohan, people reveled in new found riches and attended outlandish events. Degenerate orgies were the norm and cults sprang up promising eternal life. Resentment grew steadily and hostilities broke out. In several warning gestures, Gondor has sent soldiers to maintain the peace and make examples out of rebels. To make things short, recently, Eriador has declared independance from the Throne. The Easterlings are tentative allies. Now Gondor and Rohan set out to crush the rising rebellion. They do not concentrate their full strength yet, as they are fighting other battles.

Not everyone in Eriador is in support of rebellion, but the revolution is inevitable.

The current story: In recent years, it has been common knowledge to many in Eriador that the Throne has sent several squads of soldiers into the eastern wilderness of the land. While many rumors, and dark ones at that, have been spread, most people fear the Throne is seeking what amounts to a weapon. Whether this amounts to some occult spell from ancient times, a powerful artifact, or whatever else, it worries the rebellion.
In our story, rebel captain Andel leads a small squad of fifteen men, including young swordsman Archer. They have caught wind of rumors that a squad of Gondorian soldiers are transporting something of great value. Seeing as they were the closest fighting unit to the borders, their mission is to capture whatever the Gondorians are trying to transport.

At the moment, they have finished an ambush on an enemy squad and defeated them to a man. However, it was later found to be a diversion, and that a second squad had gone by with the cargo. The cargo appears to be heading back east for some reason, perhaps to meet with another squad. Fortunately, a rebel checkpoint was nearby. The current plan is to spend a night there and gather up capable people before resuming the pursuit.

Where the writers will join up: Generally, if you wish to join, it will be in the the Flet Checkpoint. Following after the elves of ancient times, this is a Village in the Trees, complete with inns, stores, taverns, and the like. It is filled mostly with rebel sympathizers and many rebels themselves.

I will write up the post describing the Flet Checkpoint when I feel there's enough writers.

Goals: Fill in some background on the current civil war. Also, discover the nature of Gondor's plans.

Characters:

Archer: Drafted into the wars of Gondor and Rohan at the age of fourteen when his family couldn't meet the quotas. Although still not twenty, he has been scarred by battles both physically and mentally. Eventually defects and joins the rebllion. He has no clear vision of his future, but someday, he hopes that he can simply sit beside a creek on a lazy summer day and fish in peace.

Attitude: Cool and calm, collected. Sometimes too cold, but out of necessity. In battle, he occassionally loses himself to bloodlust. There's a side of him that rejoices in killing, and the extreme stress of the battlefield can bring it out. He has not accepted this side of his nature and in fact may not ever.

Appearance: Slightly on the tall side at an even six feet, thin and lanky with long limbs. Wild, long shock of black hair, tied in the back, frames a youthful face set with gentle black eyes. A black mask usually covers up the lower half of his face. Wears a dark gray cloak and otherwise non descript clothing.

Of note: Master swordsman in the making.
Could not shoot an arrow straight if his life depended on it.
Likes fishing.
Likes reading.

NPC's include Captain Andel, a rebel captain in his thirties and others as I introduce them.

Posting will begin after I make my Flet Checkpoint. In the meanwhile, post some decent profiles of your characters. They don't need to be soldiers, either. It's a rebellion movement, so pretty much anyone's game for recruitment. Keep in mind that war has taken a toll on the population of Middle Earth in general.

A few basic guidelines:

I cannnot stress this enough: READ EACH OTHER'S POSTS.

I don't even want to count how many times people mess up the time of day, when the poster right before them stated it clearly. Or how the setting is one time a building, then suddenly becomes a forest. Simple things like these can be avoided by just reading the posts before yours. Or just ask in the OOC if you're not clear. And take your time, it's no race. Yeah, I know reading other people's posts can be pretty damn boring sometimes. I get bored when I read my own posts. But it's neccessary.

That said, I know some mistakes are unavoidable. If there are inconsistancies, I'll point them out. If I post inconsistencies, point them out. Don't just go with the flow.

Also, if you're one of those types that state you're going to join, then completely ignore the RP for no reason, don't join in the first place. It's slightly annoying.

If you're going to disappear for a while, give us a heads up if you can. No shame in admitting you don't want to continue this RP. Then we can remove your character gracefully. If not, well no big deal, it happens.

As I mentioned previously, take your time.

Discussions in the OOC are encouraged.

And um... well that's probably it. Do I sound harsh? I'm not. I'm not expecting this to be featured in the New York Times anytime soon, but I do want this RP to go relatively smoothly while it can. And, for people to try out their writing skills in a fun setting.

So, that's all.

Wow Mugen, I really like this idea it's so detailed. :D
Not sure about a character yet but could I join? There aren't many RPs that I've read that go beyond the time of King Elessar so this looks really interesting.

OK, I'm hooked

Could I please join? If you don't mind a bit of lycanthropy, of course. ;)

Edited to add bio.

Name: Linn Amahil

Gender: Male

Race: Human. Gondorian/Easterling, plus a little extra.

Age: 20

Side: Rebel

Appearance: black hair in a braid down to his hip. Dark caramel skin. Brown-black, slanted eyes. Lean, slender build. Face slightly effeminate. Oddly sharp teeth.

Quirks: Don't touch the hair. Also, if you want your face broken, tease him about his race or his masculinity. He fights dirty, with fists, knees, teeth, and whatever else is at hand. Also, he's fast. Faster than any normal person has a right to be. It's a matter of great pride to him. He often lashes out before thinking, a trait that has made him unlikeable and very much ashamed of himself.

Bio: Linn's mother was the second consecutive wife of a prosperous merchant. She wasn't too happy about the arrangement, seeing as the man was old enough to be her father, so she fooled around a lot. Linn was the result of one such escapade, probably fathered by a particularly hunky member of the Easterling delegation's escort she met at a formal ball. Linn's mother was a redhead, his "father," the merchant, a greying blonde. The merchant put two and two together pretty quick. Unfortunately, gossip travelled even quicker, so that the merchant couldn't just drop the baby boy off at a handy orphanage and claim his wife had a stillbirth.

Linn grew up under the merchant's sufferance. He was the fourth child in the family, and the third son, so he often was the proverbial fifth wheel. He knew he wasn't really a part of the family. The day he turned old enough, his father drafted him off into the army. He managed to run away after about five years, joining with the rebels not for some higher cause but for a chance to get back at people like his merchant father.

He doesn't know it, but his real father was chosen as escord material for his lineage rather than his good looks. He had werewolf blood. Not enough to make him howl at the full moon and sprout claws, but enough to make him a brutal fighter. Linn has inherited his father's gift for violence. What Linn does know, however, is that another part of him seems to leap out and take command when he fights, so that winning is almost a surprise. So is the bloody heap of his former opponent when the red mist lifts. Like Archer, he's scared and ashamed of this, but unlike Archer, he's also fascinated by it. He tries to hold it back simply because he's not sure he wants to know what would happen if he let go completely.

Mugen, welcome to TORC (If you're new, a lot of posters have two IDs, so one never knows anymore.) You have really got a great idea here, and I am very interested in it. A few quick questions though:

What kind of characters are you wanting? I know you mentioned meeting up with some other rebels and then moving on from there, but are you just going to write from one side of the conflict or both. There are a ton possibilites here.

Are you looking for just human characters? I seem to always be human, so that is probably what I would be.

I hate the idea of seeing Rohan turn bad, but this is a very good looking RP.

Arwen, Aiwe, Elladan, welcome and thanks for considering my RP.

Arwen: Yes, you can join when I approve of a character. If you need any hints on what kind of characters would be needed, look further down in my reply to Elladan.

Aiwe: As soon as you mentioned lycanthropy I wanted to stab myself, but seeing as it's not the return of the wolfman, it's all well and good. I think you handled that issue pretty well and made a good character.

Elladan: Now that you mention it, I see there is some potential in having people play the the other side. However, I have decided against it at this point, as there are certain tradeoffs in complexity and focus I'd rather not make. There may be a time, if the RP reaches a certain point, where I'll be willing to allow Gondorian/Rohirrim soldiers to be played, but not now.

As for character species, yeah, I want to keep it human or mostly human. It's the Age of Man, after all.

Now, in terms of what kind of characters.... remember that this isn't strictly a military unit you'll be joining. They're going after something mysterious, with an aura of darkness and rumors surrounding it. We'll have plenty of NPC rebel soldiers, so don't feel that you have to be a soldier.

People interested in arcane lore. Scholars. Cultists. Researchers. Those folk who chronicle important events.

Cooks. Gotta eat.

Adventuring type. Wanderers. Vagabonds. Travellers. Thrill-seekers. They must have various reasons. Perhaps they're going through rough territory and want the security of travelling in a group. They're willing to lend their swordarm until they part ways with the squad. They're just attracted to danger. They see a nice cause/distraction.

Greedy or opportunistic folks. Your traditional rogue, thief, scoundrel, entreprenuer. Nothing makes a profit like looting. And maybe that special something the Gondorians are guarding is just the thing you need...

Those spoony bards! Storytellers, singers, entertainers... always looking for an inspiration.

The mercenary. That reliable staple of modern RP. May or may not like fighting, but hey, you gotta put food on the table somehow.

Healers/Combat Medics. So you're going around, swinging that damn broadsword +12 you bought from the Everquest player at Ye Olde Rennaisance Faire. You think, hey fighting is cool, then you get cut from sternum to kidneys and your guts are spilling out. But lo, a healer comes and stitches you right back up faster than you can utter "HEAL please" and we all come to appreciate the importance of a medical background.

Priests/Monks/Religious types. It's the Fourth Age and I'm sure some religions must have popped up. Maybe dedicated to certain of the Valar. You know how armies have chaplains? They might also have their own reasons for coming along.

And finally, splinter groups of the rebellion. The rebellion is not entirely united just yet. There are still various splinter groups, factions, and whatnot. For an example, in the Flet Checkpoint, I plan to introduce one of these splinter groups who call themselves "Rangers", after the wandering Dunedain of the Third Age. They are composed mostly of trackers, woodsmen type. If you're feeling creative, make one up and I'll see if it fits.

Hi, Mugen, and welcome if you are new. :) In any case you seem to know what you are doing.

I would like to apply for your RP. The character I have in mind is a 17-year old street performer - acrobat, juggler, jester and your general-purpose daredevil by name Geli. She can be a spy for the rebels, or a semi-innocent bystander, or something. I found that Geli works very well in adventure-type RPs, but she is not a dark, brooding character. If you are looking for a very dark feel to the story, I have three or four warrior types to offer.

Thanks for letting Linn in! He's a lot more human than most of my werewolf characters, so it'll be interesting writing him. ;)

Thanks Mugen. :)

Ok I've finally got a bio, please tell me if she's not suitable.

Kylion Drelath: With seemingly black eyes, dark hair and a very nonchalant attitude as well as an insolent streak in her personality, Kylion Drelath was raised into a family of scholars and storytellers with many brothers but only one older sister who married and left before Kylion was five years old. When her mother died when she was just ten, her father was not sure what to do with her and so taught her the exact same skills her brothers learnt. Kylion has a knowledge of history but lost interest in it the first time she held a sword and also has a working knowledge of healing and medicine. All her life Kylion felt that she wanted adventure rather than to stay at home and become a scholar like the rest of her family, so when the opportunity presented itself to join the rebellion she left with barely a second thought.

Name: Tarrine Kylion Drelath (Despises her first name and goes simply by Kylion)

Race: Human (Gondorian mostly but with some distant Haradrim blood from her fathers side)

Height: 5’9”

Appearance: Quite tall but slender and strong Kylion has long dark brown hair, which appears black except under the brightest sunlight and which she normally leaves loose to fall over her shoulders, and very dark eyes that are usually the only way that her true emotions can be read and are the most obvious suggestion of her Haradrim blood. Her skin is fairly tanned from exposure to the elements while travelling but she always dresses in simple hunting or travelling clothes and carries a thick black cloak with a heavy hood. She is normally quiet and casual preferring to let others talk which gives her time to think but at first appearance, she often appears indifferent and insolent or cynical and sarcastic to those who don't know her well.

Occupation: No real occupation. Has worked as a scribe, healer or mercenary depending on what skill could get her the money she needed to keep travelling.

Weapons: Carries a hunting knife for practicality and several small daggers as well as her bow and arrows but although she is quite accurate with these much prefers to use her sword as she relies on skill and speed to win a fight rather than strength and weight and has been able to use her sword for many years.

Personality: Quiet and thoughtful but often incredibly stubborn and headstrong, Kylion is confident and reserved except if challenged about something she feels strongly about. Can be sarcastic or insolent when tense or made to feel unimportant by someone, but is normally calm and quite cheerful. Although she is usually quite friendly she does know when seriousness is needed but is often reckless and with a thirst for adventure. She does not trust people easily but once she does trust them she'll do almost anything for them. Sharp tongued with a dark sense of humour, Kylion is perceptive and intuitive and is much more intelligent than most people would expect, although she generally hides her true emotions as she is extremely wary of letting people get too close.

Marital status: Single

Travel: Foot

Likes: Travelling, standing up for what she believes in.

Dislikes: People who take advantage of others. Winter storms.

Fears: Being betrayed by someone she trusted.

Skills: Reading, writing, combat, archery, history, healing and medicine.

Family: With five brothers and only one older sister Kylion was the second youngest in the family. Her mother died when she was just ten years old and her father remarried just after Kylion left their home to join the rebellion.

Kylion is a new character though so some of this may change. :D

Mugen, you're not being harsh either, this is your creation and you have every right to want the best for it. Below is a charcater bio. Let me know if he will fit in to your story.

Name: Elamar

Gender/Race: Male Human Rohirrim

Age: 33

Appearance: Tall (6-2), but only average build. Elamar has medium to long length blondish/brown hair, and blue eyes. He has a thick brown mustache, and a short cropped beard.

Bio: Elamar was born in the Eastfold of Rohan, near Aldburg. He joined the military of Rohan voluntarily at the age of seventeen, and quickly became a capable Rider. He was an errand rider for most of his career, but toward the end of his service he was placed under the command of a very evil Captain.

His two younger twin brothers had just recently joined the military as well. They had just turned seventeen, and they were placed in the same unit as Elamar, who had just turned twenty-eight. His brothers had only fought in a few battles, and they were still very inexperienced. Their Captain sent his twin brothers along with several other young Riders to their death, when he knowingly sent them against a larger force from Dunland. All of the Riders were slain, but the Captain was able to outflank the Dunland force while they were engaged with the young men. The Captain and the rest of the unit were able to slay the Dunland forces.

Elamar had been sent to scout out the area west of where the battle was to take place, so he wasn’t there to see his brothers die. Upon finding out what the Captain had done, Elamar confronted the Captain and eventually the two came to blows. Elamar slew the evil man, but was then brought before the King for judgement. He was unjustly deemed a murderer, and was sentenced to death. He was to be executed in two days, after his family was notified. During the night before his execution though, his father assaulted the place where he was being held. His father slew the guards, but was slain himself as they escaped. Elamar vowed to see the end of the Kingdom of Rohan as it was then. The stories of its former glory were forever gone in his eyes, and he eventually was able to join the rebellion.

Weapons: Sword, two daggers, and a bow with arrows. He is very good with a bow, and would rather use it than anything. He can handle his own with a sword, but is much better with his bow.

Elamar has turned very quiet since the events of the death of his brothers and father, but he will speak his opinion freely. He has proven his loyalty to the rebellion, but still yearns for the chance to take out his anger upon the King of Rohan.

Thanks,
Dan

Hello, Frelga. Looks like your character is good to go. Arwen, Elladan; same. With Aiwe that's four, and that'll do it. I'll still take join-ups if anyone's interested, though.

I'm going to start thinking up the Flet Checkpoint intro, nothing's been put to paper just yet. Might take me a few days and a few rewrites, so don't look for it anytime soon.

My character is a rather unlikeable fellow at times. Could he, perhaps, be an old friend of Archer or another character, in order to bring him into action he might not otherwise be selected for? Just an idea. I'm open to other thoughts on how to get him involved as well. :)

Thank you, Mugen! Here's a more detailed profile for Geli.

Name: Geli

Race: 17 year old human female of undetermined race

Appearance: Medium height, and slender, athletic build. With wide shoulders and narrow hips, she looks like the gymnast she is. Olive skin, large black eyes and long, wavy black hair - in a few years she might become pretty.

Allegiance: whoever she considers her friends.

Attributes and abilities: A street performer: acrobat, dance, tightrope walker, juggler, singer, and a general-purpose daredevil. Has no concept of fear. Knows how to pick a lock or a pocket. Has some skills in street-wise self-defense with knife, stick and such, but her primary weapons are two fast legs. She is very hard to catch.

Personality: Geli is usually on the sunny side, but she's reckless. She has been known to fly into violent rage at the slightest provocation and with no concern for consequences. But mostly she is an entertainer, and will try to cheer everybody up even if she herself is falling to pieces.

Bio: Geli was born in a small town in the Southern Gondor. Her father was a soldier, lost in one of the endless wars; her mother had died of fever not long after. Orphaned at the age of two, Geli was left in care of an elderly couple she called grandparents.

When she was four, a traveling circus came in town. Seeing the little girl dance along with the performance, their master bought her, quite cheaply, from her guardians. Geli loved the wandering life, the freedom, the risks and the applause. Her most spectacular talent is at mimicking manner and voice until a patron thought he was looking in a mirror. Her little was doing quite well, thanks to the endless celebrations enjoyed by Gondorian nobility.

Things began to change when she reached her 16th birthday. The boys she grew up with now wanted to sneak off without her for a taste of a man's freedom. The patrons seemed to expect the sort of entertainment she was not willing to provide. Instead of protecting the girl, her master, the one father she has ever known, demanded that she complied with the wishes of a wealthy aristocrat.

Furious, Geli left the caravan and struck off on her own, making a precarious living from her performing skills. Her wanderings took her North, just as the rebellion broke out.

Where she fits in: she can either be serving as a spy for the rebels, or at the start of the story she could just be traveling along when she gets caught in the midst of the struggle. Mugen, please let me know what would fit with your plans.

Aiwe, just how unlikable, huh? Would Linn rescue an innocent girl from the mean Gondorian soldiers? ;) If she's already a spy, maybe they caught her snooping.

I'd like to try my hand at this, if there's room for one more. If not, just say the word and I will back away.

Name: Arianwyn

Race: human, of Rohan stock, but knows no allegiance to nations. She has a Gondorian education and is fluent in myth, legend, and story.

Occupations: assassin, street magician and storyteller. Her stock in trade is sleight-of-hand and sleight-of-tongue, and in the ability to maneuver within shadows to eliminate the person whose name happens to be on the card she's carrying at the time. A good person to have on your side.

Allegiance: supports the rebellion, partly because of her experience: she is a woman without a country. Lacking the proper temperament for life among her own people, and disregarded by her family (like Linn, she has some mystery in her birth, but not the same mystery as he), she has been seeking something to believe in, though her considerable dark side suggests to her that any power is, by its nature, corrupt and eager to exploit anything and anyone under its foot, and should the rebels be successful, they will soon become the same type of powerful evil she derides. In her dark trade she seeks to strike a knife-blow against the powerful and comfortable, so, for now, she's on the rebels' side. (As an assassin she has some scruples: she won't work for just anyone; she wants to know plenty about a mark before she takes him down; and she will not kill an underdog.)

Temperament: unlike most of the characters I've worked with in the past, Arianwyn is a cynic, inclined to be suspicious of the people she encounters and to keep a close eye on their hands. She does, however, have a fertile imagination, and the tales she loves of the glory days of the past indicate a closet idealism. She likes to spin stories in order to spend time in a world "where after a storm of trouble, the right things can happen." Real life -- even with her help -- isn't like that. (It would be interesting if she and Geli could be old acquaintances; since they are both entertainers, that might be plausible, and they would be an interesting contrast.)

Appearance: golden hair with a faint dash of red, blue-green eyes, slender, dainty, a round and innocent face. She looks like the archetypal Pure and Innocent Maiden, but then, one of the things she exploits in "the art of illusion" is the disconnect between Appearance and Reality; she's in the business of making things Appear other than they are.

Skills: can handle any sort of weapon: knives (long, slender blades are her preference), bow & arrow, poison darts, poison pills. She has some knowledge of herb-lore and can mix her own poisons; however, on occasion she has been known to put her knowledge to healing use, depending on what side the injured person happens to be on.

That's it, for now. So, any room?

Wow, this looks awesome, Mugen! I hope my character will peave everyone just enough...

NAME: Guarth

RACE: Gondorian

GENDER: Male

AGE: 26

PROFESSION: Clerick/monk

BIO: Guarth is a young man who comes from a strange history of religious killings and teachings. He is a Neophite, a group of men who believe in one God who controls all life and death in malice, and draw a dark holy power from this source. They, like a contending religious group called The Way, call their deity God, and therefore have spawned a great war between factions, as The Way is based entirely on love and kindness.

Still, Guarth was inducted into the Neophites when he was six, the age at which fathers induct their sons into the sect, and was taught of God's power and rage, and learned to appease and thereby use that power for his own advantage through methods of sacrifice.

Now, his 20 years of training complete, he must take his final test and go out into the world to do some great work for God, and become a full Priest under His name. He is accompanied in the world by Dewrok, his dog, a creature which is said to be God's messenger to the world, and whose body is covered with cryptic tattoos and spiritual talismons.

WEAPONS: As a monk, Guarth has a staff called a Divination Rod made from copper and oak. He also carries a bow of ash and arrows with the feathers of doves and crows intermingled. He also keeps several unconventional concealed weapons, and Dewrok counts himself as a weapon, as well.

APPEARANCE: Clean-shaven, black hair (pulled into a short braid), blue eyes, fair skin, average height. Tattoos on back of neck, hands, arms, etc.

So tell me what you think!

Make up a character and you can join Monoceros.

That character's fine Aurabella.

Echo, as long as Guarth or his dog doesn't start shooting holy power everywhere, you're good to go.

For the rest of you, the Flet Checkpoint post has been... posted. The RP begins in earnest now.

Ah, good! The green light! We're off!

Thanks, Mugen.

Frelga -- your character could know my character's "day job" as magician and storyteller; they may have worked together as performers. I have in mind that Arianwyn would like and respect Geli and even admire and envy her sunny optimism and innocence, which, given what she's seen, she can't share.

I'll be looking forward to seeing where this goes. The opening posts are splendid!

Mugen, great opening. Geli will be arriving shortly.

Aurabella, sounds splendid. Geli likes to be liked. :) She only does some basic sleight-of-hand tricks, so she would be very impressed by an accomplished magician.

Aiwe, I'll place Geli into a ditch for you sometime over the weekend. :P

Right away.

bio:

Name: Miriam

Age: 18

Gender: Female

Race: human from eastern lands.

Appearance: Not very tall – 5’3”, slender, dark brown eyes, long straight black hair. Wears black leather clothes.

Occupation: thief, burglar.

Items: Short sword, several daggers, lockpics, and other stuff she must have according to her occupation.

History: she ran away from her home at the age of 10. One woman, thief, took her as an apprentice and taught her everything she knew herself. Miriam considered this woman her family.

After some time the woman was executed for the burglaring and Miriam had to hide from everyone she knew at that time. Two years ago she came away to Gondor and worked there on her own pickpoketing and burglaring.

Soon, I'll think over how she will neet the rebelions.

Mugen, Guarth isn't the Sailor Moon of Middle-earth... :P

I'll try to clarify through example during the RP, but basically, the Neophites believe that their strength comes from and is increased by sacrificing creatures (or their souls) to God. It's highly unusual for any monk to be able to use holy power like you've implied unless they've reached a certain level. Guarth is too young to even try that really...

I'm not excessively familiar with the geography of the Flet Checkpoint area, so I'll do the best I can. :)

-------

I updated, but it's not so hot, and if it's not to anybody's liking, I'll change it or dump it. Okies?

Ok, I just posted my characters intro. I left if open for Archer to tell all of the newcomers what we are to do at the same time if that works ok. As always if I need to change anything just let me know.

Your character looks fine Monoceros.

Ok, I have read the first batch of posts (Echo's, Elladan's Aurabella's) and things are mostly as I expected, in that they're good. However, I have one minor issue

First off, it seems there's a vagueness on Flet Checkpoint's nature. Not one to leave things to chance, let me clarify it, whether or not everyone knows this already. It's a village in the trees. Like way high up. We have several flets interconnected with narrow walkways; and buildings, such as homes and commercial establishments, are fit into the hollows of the trunks.

As such, jury rigging a fountain that high up, while appealing to my aesthetic sense, is not happening. I'd like you to edit that out Aurabella, otherwise your post and character is fine.
Mainly, I want to keep the sense or feel that this is a village up amongst the trees.

I've begun thinking up my next post, but it's definitely a long ways off from being posted. Possibly I'll divide it, one half answering the first three join-ups, the second half answering the rest.

I'll be looking forward to reading the remaining posters'... posts.

Geli is in. I hope I didn't overdo it. Nasty of me, taking out my frustration on a defenseless character.

Aiwe, I hope three soldiers and three dogs is not too much for Linn to handle. If it is, let me know and I'll edit it back to just dogs or something. If you feel like getting us to Flet in your next post, go right ahead, otherwise I'll do it next turn.

Edited because I posted in such tearing hurry last night that I forgot to say how much I enjoyed everyone's posts. Elladan, chicken soup indeed. How could anyone resist a man who can cook! :D Echo, your character can have a field day trying to convert Geli, if you wish. ;) Aurabella, I can't wait til Geli can renew her acquaintance with Arianwyn. Looking forward for more. Aiwe. :P
