Darkness Reigns: The Resistance OOC

Pull out your pack and head on down to the Prancing Pony for some great Role Playing (try to stay in character)!

It was just a quickie...

I guess this noise can go anywhere, either your charrie Clay or maybe someone coming from Alatar to Pallando who knows??

Hope it works for you guys ;)

It was wonderful, Eari! I might wait for somebody else to supply what the noise is. But I won't wait too long.

Excuses again for being absent. Studies again and my writing muse is being lazy these days. My painting muse is high on coffee and sugar but it seems she left nothing for my writing muse.

Don't worry Clay ;) life has a way of being in the way :D :D.

I just feel like writing these days. The muse is out and I would rather make the most of it :D :D.

Edit: just in case you guys had not it figured out. Eari does have a soft spot for the reckless Stewart. However - and that might be something only the Wizards figure out - she did not tell Boromir in the first place that she was a woman. Because she did not believe he would head her advice not to go to Gondor (plus she has the androgynous body of a she-elf who has yet to bear children ;)). So when he found out he was not too happy about it. He may have forgiven but she does not believe so.
She is under the belief that Boromir does respect her as a warrior, but does not trust her as a person because of their first encounter ;).

Just a little bit of background info on their relation as I see it for now :D :D

Hmm a hard answer from Baran but if they are fighting hard here they are even more so in Ered Nimrais. They are literally living at the edge of survival. In case nobody had figured it out yet Djazi 's got Tuberculosis. Stick enough people together under poor circumstances and with not enough food and you'll inevitably get a considerable amount of cases. Sometimes it comes in handy to be a Med student :D

Clay, I cannot answer just yet because I am at work but I will definitely get to it when I am home ;).
I had figured out for Djazi... made a lot of sense.

Eari is not a very good healer, she cannot help much there hence my not taking any steps in that direction.

I can feel her boiling inside me. Not too happy with Baran and yet... an opportunity for her   women!!

Meh, don't worry about Djazi he is not going to die anytime soon. I like him too much :D.
Glad I inspired you. Baran takes a lot after his Rohirrim grandfather which means he is brutally honest, doesn't munch his words and has a fierce temper. Probably why he got along with Boromir. Djazi has tempered him a bit however.

Ps: Still at work at freaking seven in the evening???

Clay, I am in Toronto so it was only 2:30ish pm.

Working on this ;). It is just that wedding preparation came into the picture  ... They may interfere more over the next month considering the big day is July 10

Edit: I did not think she'd be that angry... or hurt rather. Baran cannot know it but she has lost family as everyone else in this war, only she was left to survive and it does not settle too well with her ;) ;).

Well it has been a while. I hope it gives you enough to start on CR. I was wondering if Alatar would move Heather's charrie. She does not seem to be in a state to travel, but would that prevent the wizard from moving and the others?

Let me know if it works for you :D

Well maybe bringing your characters to the hideout and have them meet Boromir and mostly eari (because they would have heard of her/him) will help the writer's block. It usually does for me to write with other, something they say lights up something in my head :D

Just a note again; Baran will have known that eari is a woman because of Pallando's word to her, and the elves but most other character would know her as a man or at least with some doubt. She is one of these she-elves who has carried no child and as such still has an androgynous look about her ;)

My next one might be for Boromir though (if I take from I wrote at work today :P)

Heather this was a w0w!! post   loved it...

I loved the way you showed her dream and the feeling of trying to escape it without being able to as well as this sensation that you are not yet away from the dream and afraid to open your eyes and find that you are still in the torching flames...

Thanks for a truly inspiring post my friend :D :D :D

Postby Martin the Warrior » Fri Nov 12, 2010 8:16 am

Is it too late to join? I've been looking for a good RP and this one seems right down my alley.

If it's not too late here is the bio for the character:

Name: Marine Silverstar

Elfin Name:Raina

Race: Elf

Age: 22/23ish

Appearance: Short for an elf but tall for a human which I guess you would say she's about 6'2. Long chocolatey brown hair more often than not kept into a sort of messy bun. Usually is seen in a strange mixture of armor usually it's whatever she's been able to find covered over by an old stained worn out cloak. Keeps a small Dirk on hand as her weapon of choice.

History: She was found on the doorstep of a cottage by an elderly rohirrian man and his wife, they raised her as their own daughter. They hid here in their house after the Sauron regained the ring, that is until they died when the Uruk-Hai burned down their house a few months back. She still has the scars on her arms from her fighting her way out. Since then she's been pretty much on her own. The only reason she knows her elven name is that she was told it in her dreams by a beautiful Elven queen (she could only figure the lady had to be a queen by how splendid she was dressed). She only knows a little elvish that she has picked up here and there. She wants to get revenge on the Uruk-Hai who killed her adopted parents and so has been tracking them for months hoping to get to them sooner or later.

Martin, good to have you join...

Just as a reminder this RP is about the Dark Lord having regained the Ring, so I don't know that your character would be able to navigate as easily as you seem to be writing. She'd have to hide; the massacre of women and men is something too natural in that time and age.

Remember she was 17 when the Ring was regained and Middle Earth swept away by the darkness.
Just some tips as it will change the way you will approach the story; imagine Marine as being beleaguered every way by war and people being enslaved by orcs (uruk-hai if you wish), dark men and other evil creatures of Sauron ;) ;).

It does change the perspective I can tell you ;) ;)

Welcome aboard though it is nice to have another player :D :D

Ok, CR I have a question for you... Did you have specific ideas you wanted to set up for the villains?? I wanted to know if you'd agree to someone posting from the side of darkness...

I know I am already writing two charries in there, but I was wondering if it was something you'd envision or agree to...

If not we'll continue as is, otherwise I'll send you some ideas that I've had =:) =:) and you'll let me know if it would fit in your overall plot ;)

No, I had no specific ideas for any villains, other than they were in control of Middle-Earth. Except for the small pockets of resistance.

I do know that the Nazgul are in several strongholds, Dol Guldur, Carn Dum, Minas Morgul and of course Mordor.

It is possible as discussed earlier the Mouth of Sauron inhabits Orthanc since the downfall of Saruman.

But other than that, I'm open. Of course, Orcs and other servants of the Enemy are everywhere. Oh, I forgot, the Balrog rules Moria.
