Dorwinion

All I know about Dorwinion is that it has lots of wine. I'm planning on researching on it but it would be nice if you could bring me some additional info/informed speculation.

Well, there's this. But you probably knew that...
http://lotr.wikia.com/wiki/Dorwinion
"And it is said by the Eldar that in water there lives yet the echo of the Music of the Ainur more than in any substance else that is in this Earth; and many of the Children of Ilúvatar hearken still unsated to the voices of the Sea, and yet know not for what they listen."

There is something profound about standing AT sea level.

Hmm...did you try copy/pasting the url into a browser? Or just typing it in?

I got to that link by googling "Dorwinion". You could try that.

When I did, it tried to correct me to Darwinian...it took a couple of tries.

Here are some sites I found that shed some light on this topic:
http://www.lotrplaza.com/archives/index.php?Archive=First%20Age&TID=181721

http://tolkiengateway.net/wiki/Dorwinion

http://middle-earth.xenite.org/2011/10/19/was-dorwinion-an-elf-kingdom/

http://www.lotrplaza.com/archives/index.php?Archive=First%20Age&TID=181721

I'll see if I can find more resources. Of course these online sites do not replace actual Tolkien writings so if you have them please share on this thread. And if you want to discuss more about Dorwinion I'll be glad to talk.
