Minas Tirith!! Though, if given the choice, I would pick any Shire town over any other city you can think of.

It's not on the list, but I'd choose Annuminas.

It would be the ruins of Osgiliath for me. There's only one thing better than ancient ruins, and that's <i>imaginary</i> ancient ruins. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

I think I would have to say Edoras or Armenlos, though I'd like to visit Minas Tirith too. <BR> <BR>Armenlos because it would have to be one of the more majestic places, of which the later cities were probably only a pale shadow. <BR><BR>And Edoras? I guess I always have had a soft spot for Rohan, and not just because I have a weakness for blond men. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0> Plus I like the Alan Lee painting of Edoras a lot.

Hmmm,<BR>The Grey Havens, LothLorien, the City of the Valar - but that is outside MiddleEarth so that might not count... Khazad-dum, Carn-dum, the original Minas Tirith, Gondolin... Ost-in-Edhil for sure.. <BR><BR>just some other ideas... <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

Túor, the question probably assumes you'd be there during the city's period of prosperity. Unless you meant the other cities were always complete shambles <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif"border=0> <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif"border=0>

I'd like to see them all. Minas Anor/Tirith, Minas Ithil, Osgilliath, Annuminas, Dol Amroth, Dale. All of them.

All of them? :D Seriously, I'd love to have seen Minas Morgul when it was Minas Ithil, in its heyday, and Osgiliath too. But I get so bummed by the thought of destruction. :(

Same for Dale; I'd love to have seen it before the dragon came.

Rivendell and the Shire: a real toss-up!

Yeah, I'd like to see it all. :)

Yeah there's too many good places to choose between. I've always thought that one of the best things of LOTR and The Hobbit are the exotic and homely locations you see.

What can I say? Just being in Middle Earth would be great. But specifically? Well (this is before the Elves left of course): Lorien, Imladris, Greenwood, Fangorn, the Shire, and wherever Gandalf goes! (I wanna walk around with Gandalf for a bit. That would be sooooooo cool.) - Wingi

Yeah Gandalf is practically a location of middle earth in himself with all the events that happen around him. :)

Welcome, Wingi! :hihi:

I agree; I'd like to have seen Lothlorien before Galadriel left. I'd also like to have seen Annuminas in the heyday of the kings of Arnor.

In fact I'd like to see all the places that no longer existed by the time of the story! (I'm just as nostalgic in real life, believe me.)

Hmmm... Tough choice. In the end I have so many places that I would love to visit. Fangorn, Minas Tirith, moria (pre balrog), rivendel. In the end I have no idea. Maybe I would have to pick dale. It is so rich in history and it is on the footstep of one of the greatest drarven holds in the east.
