Some of us have been able to add a sig pic with the [img] code, but a couple people haven't been able to get that to work, but it's worth a shot. I found you can get bigger pictures now too. :)

The question I have is: how do you get anything into Img from an iPod Photos album? There's no e-mail address to send it to, no URL to enter. It's been frustrating because no matter where I look I can't find advise that matches my situation. Help!

At least for now, until we can upload our sig pics on this site again, you should host your pictures on Photobucket or some similar site, from where you can link the image to your sig (or post).

I have a thought which could be totally wrong. But maybe only those people who paid for a PM prior to the boards changing over can add an image into their sigs. Even though every one shows "red" at the moment. Even if you didn't have a photo image linked into your signature, your text should still come up, if you are able to have a photo there as well.

Just some random thinking here. But I have looked at those who are posting sig pictures and all of them had PM's prior to the boards going over.

Effff Teeee, I did send you an email on the exact steps for putting a photo into your signature block. Do you need me to send it again?

Good luck folks.

I did receive your email. Your directions were very clear and concise. I thank you for that. I just have not taken the time to upload an image as of yet. I do thank you for the directions. I saved your email.

Well I'm not Rwhen, but this is how it goes at the moment:

Host your picture on Photobucket or a similar site. Size limits are the same as before.

Copy the [IMG] link from there. Go to your User Control Panel here, choose Profile -> Edit signature, and paste the link there. Submit.

Your pic should show up now.

What rowan said. Just a note, you can't upload directly from your computer/desktop(my pictures) like one used to. The photo has to be hosted somewhere else...like Photobucket (that is what I use...it is free), then follow the instructions that rowan left. As she said, there are size restrictions put in place...and the photo shows on top of the signature rather than to the side...so you have to actually put the [img] at the top of your signature block. In the old boards we had the "browse" feature to upload photos.

Easy once you play with it a bit. Good to have you back again safe and sound!!

Is there any other photo host websites compatible with TORC besides Photobucket? I've been trying to sign up for an account with them for a couple of days now with no luck. I don't know if it's their website or my computer.

I must be doing something wrong, because this isn't working for me. It copies the link, but not the picture. Is there something else I could try?

You might have already done some of this.

At PhotoBucket...

While at your image,

Click Edit ( Top of screen )

Click Adjustment ( At Bottom Left )

Click Resize.

Resize your image to max 400 wide or 300 high and stay with the default..."keep proportions".
400 wide / 300 high is what TORC now allows.

Rename the image so you can refer to your resized image.

Then click on the IMG box...on the right hand side. That will copy it.

Then..go to TORC...Control Panel..Profile...Signature...and "paste" your stuff. Rake over your stuff and click the "img" option.

Your image should appear in your signature.

I hope this helps.

Please don't think I'm being condescending LadyKat, but I need to ask, are you putting a [img]

before the link and

[/img]

after the link address?

(Sorry for the weird formatting here, it wouldn't let me do it any other way! :) )

Another issue with the signatures is that posts from the previous board don't show signatures whereas posts made on the new board do show them (for instance, heliona's signature shows up in her recent posts in the Movies - Hobbit forum, but older posts (see the Adoptions forum) don't show the signature).

Hey Iris. No, I don't think you're being condescending.

No, I haven't been doing that, but I will give it a try. I still think my main problem is, I just can't resize the picture. As the song says "nothin I do don't seem to work." All the buttons/icons people are telling me to click on when I'm on photobucket---well maybe I'm dense, but I don't see them! I contacted the help desk (or whatever it's called) at photobucket, and they keep telling me to send them an image of the page I'm seeing. :?

Like I really know how to do that!

(Hello heliona in disguise. :D Thanks for the tip, I will remember that.)

Ok, I just went into photobucket and went through the process.
Here's what I did:

Open the site and there is the top border... Click edit photo
It opens a window with all your pictures.
Choose your picture it gives you all sorts of options around the picture.
Go to the bottom of your picture and click adjustment then resize

Make your picture 400 wide x 300 high.

click apply

That should get your picture the right size for TORC.

Another option is to copy your picture into Paint (on your computer) and resize it there...then save it on your computer and then save it to photobucket.

Ladykat . . . I find a real simple list of steps usually works for me . . . ;)

If you want to send an image of your Photobucket screen to their Help Desk, try this:

1. Open a blank Word Document
2. Sign in to your Photobucket account
3. For a "Screen Shot" of any screen in Photobucket - hold down the "Alt" key, then hit the "Prt Scrn" button (or on some keyboards 'Print Screen' ;) ) while on the screen you want.
4. Release both keys, then go to the open Word Document, click on the blank page.
5. Either click the right mouse button and select "Paste", or just press "Ctrl" and the "V" key. This should paste the image you just captured into the Document.
6. Save the document to your hard drive and when you answer the Help Desk e-mail, "Attach" it to your reply.

You can put as many screen images as you want in the document too, just separate them with a blank line (or a nice typed explanation of what the screen is and what steps you took to get it . . . ;) )

Hope that helps!

And y'know, if you like you can send me the picture and I could re-size it for you . . . (I have Photoshop) ;) Just let me know.

:D :D :D

Hey, thanks Silverscribe! That's really nice of you to offer! :D I may just take you up on that if I can't get anything else to work.

Thanks too, for the step-by-step on how to send an image of the screen to Photobucket. Always good to learn something new. :D :D

Hey Cillendor. Welcome.:)

For your sig to be visible you have to get a Premiere membership at TORC, I'm afraid.
Untill then it would show up only in your previews.
