Welcome Lumi and Neko!:D

Thiri: What do you mean double questions? There is no rule in grammer against double questions. I think your thinking of double negatives. Thats when someone says Nobody no where kind of thing. The proper ways Is Nobody anywhere. Get it?:D You've never had that problem though so don't worry.:P

Hey Neko, I'm not one of the people that has really studdied the Sil, but I have read it, and enjoyed it. It is not however light reading. Be prepared to spend some time and thought if you expect to enjoy it. :)

Welcome!

Woah, look what happens when you're gone two days....
Anyhoo, I spend way too much time on my 'puter, so tomorrow I'm "fasting" from technogical things.
But for now, I am here, and I have no idea what to say... err. Obviously I like Tolkien's stuff. I got started because there was this little brown book in our bookshelf with brownish pages, and maps, and runes, called: "The Hobbit." I actually started it twice.. Finally read the whole of it, and then read the Two Towers, which was the only other Tolkien book we had, and the end part had fallen out. So I was a bit confused at first.

Ah, how cute, Solo did his first double post!!! :P Yes, I did draw the pic in my sig. To get a signature picture, you have to become a Premier Member, which means you are helping to support TORC. Only $5 a month  though I would not expect you to jump on the band wagon so soon, it took me about two years to do it, and then I did it first so I could edit my submissions to the Reading Room, then I just enjoyed it so much that I couldn't drop it. Some day I'll decide it's not within my budget (which it really isn't) but that day is not this day, this day I pay!

Hi Neko! Welcome!
The Sil is one of my favorite books too, and the Unfinished Tales. There's so much fun information on it! :D (fun for the ones who really enjoy Tolkien's inventions). But you can only say you like it or not by reading it, so go ahead! :P

Nim: Yes, yes, yes...sorry, I meant double negatives  Didn't quite get it  , but I guess I learned the right way, since you tell me I didn't have that problem! :D Anyways... 8)

Lumi: Really?!?!?! :Q My God, then I really don't know anything about it!!!

Didi: ooohhh, now you got me...Don't know...I thought this "War" game from Grow was like worldwide....well, nevermind :D

Hello Neko!
I've read the Silm five times. It is nowdays my favorite book from Tolkien. BUT it wasn't even near that when I read it for the first time. The first twoo hundred pages were so boring.Only the story of Beren and Luthien impressed me. Year later I read it again and then suddenly all the tiny details started to look really intresting. Now it's just getting better and better every time. So an advice: read it twice! You understand much more on the secound time... Btw. Are you as confused as I am? I mean about TORC... This is a huge place...

Don't worry Lumi, things start to make more sense as you get to know more people. :) It took me a little while to get my feet. (Don't be deceived by my join date, this is my second username) But now I love the people here, and the wonderful discussions that happen. Have you checked out Adoptions?

Yes, I'm in Hobbituk Homely House 3. And today I've had time to hang around here all day and I'm getting to get a better picture of this place. I have actually gone through everything else but the RP parts. I don't understand anything of it though it sounds interesting...

IMO the RP forums are the best part. :D But then I'm not the most vocal of people in general, but I love writing. I know Hobbi writes RP, so he should be able to answer any questions you have, though if you wanted to ask here I would do my best to answer. :) Basically it is just story writing, but instead of being responsible for the whole story, you interact with other people's ideas. It stretches your creativity, and improves your writing, and its fun to boot! :D If you are interested, you should take a peek in the Lucky Fortune Inn in this Welcome forum, its really a great place to get your first taste of RP, and its a nice newbie friendly atmosphere.

Am I still a newbie? Can I be welcomed again? :P

Well, if I don't get a welcome, I may as well post here in hopes of drawing more newbies in for you all. Maybe if the new newbies see me posting here, they'll post here too. :D

Come my fellow newbies, get in here! :horse:

It seems fewer people find our site... how can we make them come? I'm sure Suga & Carnë is evil enough to think up a Plan B!

Surely you don't want to scare away the newbies from this thread? This kind of plan just might.

I think that Vey doesn't really have a plan. After all, if it would scare away the newbies, how can it make them come? :P
