Hey, thanks Arassuil!

Things have taken a bit of a break of late thanks to time spent adventuring with my fellow writer. After bellyaching for 7 years about a honeymoon, really couldn't spend it glued to a keyboard. But we're back, refreshed and ready to shape the conclusion of this tale. Yes, folks, a conclusion. I find them harder than beginnings. So please bear with us.

Hello elora... for some reason I was a few posts (as in last post of page 5   ) behind in your story. I caught up yesterday and found myself smiling, laughing, teary-eyed. Love every single one line of this story.
Thank you and your partner for sharing.

G'day earendil - glad you're not bored stiff by it! I am hopeful that this will be the first project my partner and I have ever managed to finish in 13 years of writing together.

As for the next project, I have no idea yet. At least, no clear ones...

Alrighty folks - exciting news...my conspirator and I have been planning the arc to - drum roll please - THE END.

Yes indeed. We will certainly finish this tale. In doing so, themes and arcs will be drawn together. Not all subplots can be resolved, however and that is purposeful. We are melding (with varying degrees of success) epic fantasy with realism. Makes for a creature that is sometimes sublime but more frequently nightmarish, but there you have it. In real life there are unanswered questions and what ifs. Same goes here.

(A tad convenient but I'm OK with that).

It will take some work to finish this off. At least another two "acts" at my guess. And finishing things is not what I could say is a skill set for writing projects I share with my collaborator. So please bear with us. The end is nigh - ish. It is there.

We hope you like it (even just a smidge - that would be nice).

Triple post - how self indulgent!

A heads up for any TORC people in Brisbane and not fleeing for the hills as the G20 Summit juggernaut descends on our fair city.

Lord Hanasian and Lady Rosmarin of Cardolan shall be appearing in the G20 cultural parade on November 1 2014.

Just keep your eye out for a stoic, long suffering Ranger and an opinionated Dunedain princess fidgeting uncomfortable with the fancy dress she's been forced to wear.

We haven't forgotten this - we're working hard on it at present. A few major jolts in life's road have delayed our usual galacial rate but with good fortune that will soon be remedied.

Apologies to our long suffering readers, if indeed you still exist. If not, then I'll add this to the list of talking to myself incidents under #3,987,374,081,263.01

Thanks much earendil81 !

The 500 pound gorilla has been removed from our collective backs. Hope it was worth the wait, somehow. :)

And we're done - aside from an epilogue.

Thanks to all who bore with us.

Thanks for a great tale, elora! Just recently started rereading some of your older posts so I could get back up to speed with what comes afterwards. Looking forward to your next story! *nudge, nudge*

Glad to hear you've enjoyed it and funny you should ask that question.

Just so happens my collaborator and I have been discussing the self same thing. Any suggestions most welcome, of course.

We will take a break, to reset our brains, given we've been writing this tale and these characters for 4 whole years. Time flies when you're having fun, as they say. :)

Yes, 'tempus fugit', as they say! Especially when you're engrossed in your subject matter. Writing Tolkien fan-fic is addictive, is it not? Every time I say I'm finished with it I always gravitate back to it somehow!

As for suggestions for topics I'm sure whatever period you choose will be interesting. Personally I'd like to see more stories/fan-fics set in earlier Ages, as the War of the Ring era has already been covered ad infinitum by now...But I will happily read whatever you decide to go with in the end :)
