i write no more for you

i write no more for you

is this all there is?
is nothing more to be?
bound and divided
at once by civility?
we're kind, we speak
i cry, i'm weak
i watch you there
i find i stare
there once was more
and now i'm torn...

screw it.

poetry sucks.

you turned away
now i stand here
you turned back
and expect to begin again.
no dice.
you hurt me
now pay the price.
be a man and suck it up.
admit you screwed up
to me, to us, in words, in deeds.
and then...
CHANGE
life brings responsibility
love brings responsibility
accept it. embrace it. meet it. face it.
rebuild what you tore down.
it won't grow back on its own
and ruins of old are shaky foundations for new castles.
i'm done.
i write no more for you.

WOW! There is such feeling in your poem. I can feel that you are sincere in what you wrote and to whom you wrote it. I am hoping that you dont stop writing poetry altogether though. :hug:

but write
let words come
keep channels free of heart-debris
let words come
we, too, are eyes
and pilgrim-hearts that yearn
to sit by your streams of
loveliness
we, too, are glad of rain
of your tears
for we can all weep
and be set free from the sorrows
how good those tears can be
there are enough deserts
let words come
please write

Eliana,

When I first read this title, I thought of the soup nazi on Seinfeld. "No poetry for you!!!"

I love this poem. It is how I feel every time I get a rejection letter from a publisher or agent! Well done!!
